Legend of Wyatt
Chapter 3047: Lima Holland
“Under a hundred years old, comprehending two profundities of Earth Element laws?”
In the South Heaven’s Borderlands, beyond the expansive area encompassed by the Sixth-Rank Immortal Manor, in a vast giant city, in the front yard of a luxurious residence, a young man sitting at the table, sipping aromatic tea, unconsciously tightened his grip and crushed the cup!
“Lima Holland, what’s the matter?”
The other young man sitting across the table looked at the young man who crushed the cup, asking with a puzzled expression.
“It’s nothing… I just received a sound transmission from someone I met at Mystic Abyss Mansion previously, from a Seventh-Rank Sect, wanting to place an order for an assassination.”
The young man who crushed the cup, named ‘Lima Holland,’ was an illegitimate son of one of the vice leaders of the Blood Skeleton Clan.
And now sitting across from Lima Holland was a friend of his, with an extraordinary temperament, clearly not an ordinary person.
Lima Holland was a young man dressed in a silver-edged brocade robe, with a slightly pale complexion and a thin physique, as if exhausted by indulgence.
However, Lima Holland did not indulge in such pleasures.
The reason for his condition was entirely due to congenital malnutrition.
Years ago, while his mother was pregnant with him, she fled under pursuit from people sent by his father’s first wife, narrowly escaping death, ultimately giving birth to him by chance, but leaving him weak and sickly.
Because of this, his father felt deeply guilty and took good care of him afterwards.
In truth, his father’s care was entirely because, besides him, his father had no other sons, only daughters!
Lima Holland had nine older sisters and thirteen younger sisters.
He was his father’s only son, so even though his congenital conditions were poor, his father spent great efforts searching for Immortal Pills for him, allowing his body to improve gradually and eventually reach normal standards.
At this point, further progress was of little use.
Due to this, his talent and comprehension could only be considered average, ranking at the bottom amongst his sisters.
However, because he was his father’s only son, he enjoyed treatment far exceeding that of his sisters.
“Who is to be killed?”
The young man sitting across from Lima Holland asked.
This young man was dressed in a long white robe, with a handsome appearance, holding a folding fan, displaying elegance, with a superior temperament and a constant smile, making people feel like a spring breeze.
Sitting together with the pale Lima Holland, they seemed to form two extremes.
“To make you so out of sorts… could the person to be killed be extraordinary?”
The elegant young man asked.
“Under a hundred years old, peak Love Rowan Upper Immortal, comprehended two profundities of Earth Element laws… emerged in the South Heaven Territory of Mystic Abyss Mansion, ranked second on the points leaderboard, later joined the Baopu Immortal Sect, which is the sect behind the person who transmitted to me.”
Lima Holland said, “If I recall correctly… the person who transmitted to me is named Bradley Clark, the direct third disciple of the Baopu Immortal Sect’s Sect Leader.”
“Since he wants to order the assassination through Blood Skeleton, it’s likely because his interests were threatened… he wants Blood Skeleton’s assassins to act, simply to avoid leaving any traces or being discovered.”
If Bradley Clark were here and heard Lima Holland’s words, he would surely be taken aback, because Lima Holland fully guessed his intentions.
“Under a hundred years old, peak Love Rowan Upper Immortal, comprehended two profundities of Earth Element laws, and also a Loose Cultivator… truly remarkable talent and comprehension.”
Lima Holland lowered his voice as if muttering to himself.
At the same time, a flash of jealousy appeared in the depths of his gaze… Lima Holland, throughout his life, was most jealous of those with great talent and comprehension!
Because his own talent and comprehension were average.
“Under a hundred years old, peak Love Rowan Upper Immortal, comprehended two profundities of Earth Element laws, and also a Loose Cultivator?”
Upon hearing Lima Holland’s words, the elegant young man was a bit surprised, “Nowadays, such geniuses can emerge from those Sixth-Rank Immortal Manors?”
To have such achievements under a hundred years of age, even among the top ten clans and five major sects in the South Heaven’s Borderlands, such occurrences are rare, akin to phoenix feathers.
“How did you respond to him?”
The elegant young man asked.
“I promised him I’d return the favor… I took the order on behalf of our Blood Skeleton.”
Lima Holland said.
“Better be careful, check the person’s background thoroughly… I somehow feel, someone with such talent and comprehension, is unlikely to be a Loose Cultivator.”
The elegant young man suggested.
Lima Holland was one of his few friends, and naturally, he didn’t want Lima Holland to provoke someone beyond his power, thereby bringing trouble upon himself.
Moreover, all for a mere Seventh-Rank Sect person, it was completely unnecessary.
“Don’t worry.”
A rare smile appeared on Lima Holland’s pale face, “You underestimate our Blood Skeleton’s intelligence department? If he truly has a background, it’ll be fully revealed!”
“Once it’s determined he has an exceptional background and Blood Skeleton can’t act, it’s no problem to refuse him then.”
Lima Holland said.
Blood Skeleton, though notorious within the South Heaven’s Borderlands, there are still some people they wouldn’t dare mess with lightly.
For instance, people closely related to the Immortal Emperor of South Heaven.
For instance, important members of the top ten clans, important disciples of the five major sects.
In the South Heaven’s Borderlands, a Sixth Grade Immortal Manor above such a sixth-grade power is a Fifth Grade power…
And there are only fifteen Fifth Grade powers in the South Heaven’s Borderlands, collectively known as the Ten Great Clans and Five Grand Sects, which stand at the pinnacle of the South Heaven’s Borderlands.
“That’s good.”
Hearing Lima Holland’s words, the refined young man nodded, his slightly furrowed brows relaxing, a weight lifted from his mind.
He was well aware of the Blood Skeleton Clan’s intelligence department’s capabilities, being a top-tier force throughout the entire South Heaven’s Borderlands.
Even the intelligence network of his sect might not be as strong as the Blood Skeleton Clan’s.
After all, the Blood Skeleton Clan was an assassin organization, highly focused on intelligence gathering.
“When do you plan to return?”
Lima Holland looked at the refined young man and asked.
“I’ll leave tomorrow… I’ve been out for some time, it’s time to head back. If you’re free, feel free to come and find me.”
The refined young man said with a smile.
“I will… after all, you are my only friend.”
A smile appeared on Lima Holland’s face, pale as paper, looking slightly eerie.
If there was anyone in this world whose talent and comprehension he didn’t envy, it would probably be the person before him.
The only friend.
Just as Lima Holland finished speaking, the refined young man sighed inwardly.
If there was anyone in this world who understood Lima Holland the best, it would probably be him and Lima Holland’s deceased mother.
“You are also my best friend… forever.”
The refined young man stood up, placing a hand on Lima Holland’s shoulder, smiling as he spoke.
Instantly, the smile on Lima Holland’s pale face became more radiant and eerie, and in the end, it even seemed somewhat twisted and hideous.
Of course, at this moment, he was genuinely happy and moved.
However, because his features were somewhat irregular and his complexion pale, when he really smiled, it would involuntarily become like this.
…
Mystic Abyss Mansion, Pobao Immortal Sect.
“This is… the book tower?”
Wyatt Barnes stood on a plaza atop a low mountain, seemingly cut flat with a blade, gazing at the building in the center of the plaza, reminiscent of a pagoda, feeling a slight stir in his heart.
This building had a total of nine levels and was precisely the book tower of Pobao Immortal Sect, housing various techniques, Immortal Methods, and Divine Abilities.
Of course, there were also books and memory Immortal Talismans recording other aspects, as well as floating shadow pearls recording battles between immortals of various levels.
Wyatt Barnes came this time for the Ninth layer of this Pobao Immortal Sect book tower, which was also the top layer of the tower.
The top layer of the book tower housed the king-level Immortal Methods, Divine Abilities, and the sect’s foundational technique, a king-level Immortal Method of Pobao Immortal Sect.
The Pobao Immortal Sect’s foundational technique could only be cultivated by those of a certain status and True Inheritance Disciples.
Only these people could enter the book tower’s top layer.
The book tower had only one door, located on the first floor, so Wyatt Barnes had to ascend slowly from the first floor to reach the top layer of the book tower.
At the entrance of the first floor of the book tower, two burly middle-aged monks stood. When they saw Wyatt Barnes approaching, they blocked his path with indifferent eyes.
Pobao Immortal Sect had two book towers in total, one for the Outer Sect and one for the Inner Sect.
This book tower was precisely the Inner Sect book tower. To enter, one must present an Inner Sect disciple’s identity token.
Such strict security was also to prevent Outer Sect disciples from sneaking in.
Although Wyatt Barnes didn’t know he needed to present an identity token to enter the book tower at the beginning, seeing the gatekeepers blocking the way, he immediately took out his identity token.
“True Inheritance Disciple?!”
Seeing Wyatt Barnes present his identity token, the two middle-aged monks stationed at the gate simultaneously widened their eyes and swiftly made way.
“So you’re the genius who, right after entering, was granted the seat of True Inheritance Disciple by the Sect Leader.”
One of the middle-aged monks looked at Wyatt Barnes in a manner expressing admiration.
The other middle-aged monk, though silent, also gazed at Wyatt Barnes with eyes burning with fervor.
Wyatt Barnes gave them a faint smile and then entered the book tower.
The Inner Sect disciples following him, preparing to enter the book tower, stood there dazedly watching him walk away, never imagining that the person who had been standing in front of them was the much-talked-about genius disciple who had entered half a month ago.
“I’ve heard this Wyatt Barnes is not even a hundred years old yet, and he’s already a pinnacle Love Rowan Upper Immortal… Additionally, he’s comprehended two profound mysteries of the Earth-attribute Law!”
“It’s hard to imagine such a monstrous individual appearing within the borders of our Mystic Abyss Mansion.”
“Most astonishing of all… he’s a Loose Cultivator!”
