Chapter 911 - No Way Forward

Chapter 911: Chapter 911 - No Way Forward

Leon stepped out of the capsule device with a long sigh. He was genuinely overwhelmed this time. Maybe this was the first time in a long while that he truly felt like he had run out of answers, like there was no clear way forward anymore.

He simply walked into the central lounge and dropped onto one of the sofas, not bothering to think about anything else. After that, he sent Freya a 9message explaining everything that had happened, hoping she could at least give him some advice, or maybe just a few comforting words.

Then, later that evening, Freya decided to stop by. The two of them planned to hang out at the café downstairs, where Leon had already reserved the private seating area separated from the main café. It was a balcony overlooking the street, enclosed by a glass door that kept it away from the noise and the crowd.

It was not because he was arrogant or anything. He had honestly never expected people to come here on purpose just to see him. Like, seriously?

At first, Leon had opened this café simply as a place where he could relax and spend his own time. That was why he had designed it with such a spacious layout. It was never meant to accommodate a large number of customers. But now... every single seat was actually occupied.

Maybe he really should open the upper floor as a dining area. It would probably bring in extra income as well, enough to help cover the operating costs of this building, which turned out to be far more expensive than he had expected.

The brown-haired girl arrived wearing a long coat and a pair of glasses. With her usual confident stride, she pushed open the balcony door, set her bag beside her chair, then sat down and casually crossed her legs.

"I didn’t know you’d put this much effort into preparing a private spot for our date, huh?"

"Well, I was actually hoping it’d be a lot quieter than this, but apparently it’s this crowded."

"Congratulations, Leon. You’re famous now. More and more people are logging into Immortal Legacy, you know. Especially around here. Even the game centers have gotten a lot busier. You could even open one on the unused floor upstairs. I’m sure it’d attract plenty of people."

"You never stop thinking about business, huh, Freya?"

She laughed softly.

"I’m just waiting for your approval, and I’ll take care of everything. Besides, you don’t need this many floors just for yourself, do you? Your daily routine is incredibly boring. You just play games, train, and hang out in this café. You barely even go outside, and every time you ask me to meet you, it’s always here."

"I thought this place matched your taste. You were the one who helped design it, remember?"

"Yes, but there are so many amazing places out there. Overseas too. I’m pretty sure you can afford to travel now, can’t you?"

Leon let out another sigh before giving a small nod.

"I think so... especially after what happened to Broken inside the game."

After that, the discussion shifted back to what was actually happening inside the game.

"I won’t be able to leave that domain. It’s far beyond the level I can handle. And I can’t teleport out using any method either."

Freya nodded.

"You could just wait until your level goes up, couldn’t you? If you stay there long enough, you’ll keep gaining experience eventually. Once your level is high enough to meet the requirement to break through the domain, you should be able to leave."

"Yes, but that’ll take a very long time."

"Oh, right. I completely forgot. What level are you now?"

"203."

"203? Wow. It’s been a while since I last checked, so I had no idea you’d gotten that high already."

"Yeah. Ever since I started spending so much time traveling across the sea, time has been passing really fast. And somehow... It’s already October."

Freya gave a slow nod.

"Then I don’t think it’s realistic for you to reach level 350 anytime soon just so you can leave that domain."

Leon nodded again. "We could bring everyone from Vensalor and launch an attack against the giants."

Freya shook her head.

"If the giant you met really is the Champion of Wrath, then I’m sure he’s already seen that possibility. His ability lets him see the branching futures created by every action he takes."

"So that means he already knows what could happen in the future. That’s why he trapped me and locked me inside that place."

"It’s more than that," Freya continued. "We need to force him to reveal what he’s actually hiding."

"So... we just launch the raid."

"I’m sure he’s already taken that into account as well. Starting a war between the players and the giants might be exactly what he’s trying to provoke." Freya paused to think for a moment. "Doesn’t that seem possible? He knows players have the advantage of respawning after they die. The giants, on the other hand, would be the ones paying the real price."

Leon picked up his cup of coffee and took another sip.

"I guess not every problem can be solved with brute force."

"That’s just the way you think. Hey, you, Broken," Freya said more firmly. "Not everything can be solved with brute force."

"It worked before. I got this far through pure brute force."

Freya could only let out a quiet sigh. Leon then set his cup back down on the table.

"Tell me, Freya. Where do you think would be a fun place to go on vacation?"

"What? Where did that come from?"

"A vacation. Yes, a vacation. You’re the one who suggested it earlier."

"Are you asking me to go on a trip with you?"

"You’re the one who brought it up first."

"You think I’m that easy to invite on a vacation, Leon? I’m not..."

"Fine, we’ll invite everyone else too. So where? Tell me."

"Well... I wouldn’t actually mind if it were just the two of us."

Leon laughed instead.

"Just tell me. And don’t say Korea again."

"Then right next to Korea. Japan. What do you think?"

"Well... we’ll leave tomorrow."
