"You can leave now and not embarrass yourself, kid," the manager said.

"No, I’d like to see if he can really do what he can say," the boss said. She fixed her glasses and folded her arms.

The manager froze. He did not know what to say or do in that moment.

"The platinum star is available? Come this way." He led them through the store. People still watched. They wanted to see how this would all end.

They arrived at a showcase, one made of bulletproof glass.

Inside was a mannequin dressed with a bodysuit. It had a dark platinum color, with slick black lines at certain points of it. It could cover all the way to the wrists, ankles, and neck.

"This is the platinum star, the best we have here, going for a price of ninety-eight thousand credits with tax. It has many features behind its protection aspect. It has high-level camouflage to make sure no one can tell easily and also a danger signal for when anything dangerous is coming.

"It improves physical ability by three times as well, one of the best suits our company owns," the manager explained.

He proceeded to type the passcode into the terminal, and the door unlocked.

Leon smiled. He knew what they were plotting. They wanted to see him fall apart now that he was faced with the actual suit.

He pulled out his phone and then looked at the manager. "How do I pay?"

The manager was shocked when he saw the confidence. He was certain that Leon would back away at this moment, but he was still pressing on. He began to wonder if Leon could really have the money to buy it.

He brought out the terminal for payment. "Please insert your card in it, or place your phone over it to confirm the payment."

Leon smiled and placed his phone over it without hesitation.

DING

The sound of a complete red transaction rang out, and immediately everyone froze. The manager stared at it. The payment was indeed complete.

’Tch, I had to spend a hundred thousand credits to prove a point to these assholes. There is no way I am letting this slide. Someone is going to pay.’

The guard that had blocked Leon backed up slowly, with fear forming on his face.

Leon gave him a smirk as he saw him backing away. "Are you running away?" He asked, causing all eyes to turn to him.

"No, I’m not, I jus..."

"So you stopped a top customer because of what he wore and how he looked, and then proceeded to manhandle him," the boss asked. Even with the glasses covering her eyes, he could feel the burning stare right into him.

She turned and looked at Leon. "I’m sorry, Mr.?"

"Leon."

"Mr. Leon, please come into my office while your suit is packaged for you. We will get rid of this guard that disrespected you."

Leon looked at the guard, who was already sweating balls. "Forgive him on my behalf. I’m sure he needs this job."

"Alright then, since you have said that, we will let him be," she said and then walked past Leon. Her assistant followed behind. Leon stared at the man for a few seconds and then gave him a smile.

"Lucky you, you got to keep your job."

’Even though I’d love you to loose it all’

He walked off after that and headed to the alligator that took them to floor four and right into the office of the boss. It was a pretty large and clean office with a lounge section.

"Noel, have the manager prepare some refreshments for us and also bring me a report from the store’s last month’s sales," the boss said as she walked to her seat.

The personal assistant nodded and turned to leave.

The boss placed her coat on her chair and then looked at Leon.

"I’m yet to introduce myself. My name is Kate Xander, daughter to the creator of the Xander Force, or as you know it, X-Force," she said and sat down on the chair.

"So, why did you ask me to forgive the guard?" she asked.

Leon walked into the office. He sat down on the chair at the opposite side of the table.

"Nothing really. He thought he was doing his job," Leon replied calmly.

"Well, for someone that’s rich, they do not take lightly to such insults, and they would have loved to get him fired even if I did not say anything.

"Let me guess, you are not new to this whole big-class rich stuff," she said and pulled a few files in front of her.

"Damn, you are pretty observant," Leon replied.

"It’s what I do. Either way, I am deeply sorry for what he did. Our store does not allow that, nor does any of our stores around the world.

"As a form of apology, you’ll get a duty percent discount on anything from the X-Force company and also have your name in our high-class customer list," she said.

"Hmm, that’s pretty nice," Leon replied. "How do you know my money is not a one-time thing that’s finished after the purchase of this bodysuit and now I have no value to you?" he asked.

"Like I said, I have done this before. I have a feeling I’ll be seeing you for more. After all, X-Force sells many tech-related things," she said.

"That’s true. Our computers are also the best. I’d really like to get my hands on one of them, one that can handle everything I throw at it," Leon said.

He wanted to make a setup that he could invest nonstop in and make as much money as possible.

"Oh? If that’s what you want, then how about I come pick you tomorrow and drive you to one of our stores and get you the best PC at half the price like I said before?" she offered him with a smile on her face.
