"Oh shit," he cursed.

Standing at the door was his little sister, Lily. She had the same hair as him and the same look in her eyes.

Lily froze the moment he opened the door. She stared at him, confused.

"Who are you?" she asked.

Hearing that, Leon raised his brow and looked at her. "What the hell are you talking about, Lily?"

The moment she heard his voice, she confirmed that it was him.

"Whoa, big brother!" She immediately stepped forward and hugged him.

"I had no idea it was you. You look so..." She looked him up and down. "Different," she said, but her eyes betrayed her. It was as if she wanted to eat him with the way she looked. Leon noticed that and flicked her forehead. "You still have the same habit," he said to her.

She laughed it off with a cute smile.

"You came earlier than I expected," Leon said.

"Yeah, I could not wait," she said and then tried to enter. Leon moved to the side and allowed her in. She walked into the room and then froze when she saw someone seated on the bed.

She turned her head and looked at Leon with eyes that demanded an explanation fast. Leon heaved a sigh and walked between them.

"Lily, this is my girlfriend, Sophia, and Sophia, this is my little sister, Lily. She will be staying with me for the time being," Leon explained as best as he could with as few words as he needed.

’Now shit is about to get extremely weird and awkward,’ he thought to himself. His sister had always been very possessive of him, and she wanted him all to herself. That was the Lily he had grown up with, and now he was dating Sophia, who turned out to be someone who didn’t seem like she wanted to share.

Leon waited for things to fall apart, only for Sophia to leap to her feet.

"Oh my gosh, your sister is so cute!" She rushed over and grabbed Lily’s hand.

"You are so cute. You look like a female version of your brother."

Lily blushed a bit when she heard that. She smiled. "I did not know my brother had good taste in women. I could swear he was going to die alone and sad in a room while I brought him food," Lily said.

"Hey, I’m standing right here while you are busy talking about me," Leon said, but they ignored him.

’This is going far, far better than what I expected it to be. No one threw any punches, and no one has strangled anyone. Maybe I was paranoid for nothing.’

He heaved a sigh of relief. He could breathe easier, knowing that they would get along.

"I’m glad the both of you get along," Leon said.

"Why wouldn’t we?" Lily asked.

Leon rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue. "Where are your stuff?" he asked.

"Oh, I brought nothing. Dad sort of caught me before I could leave, and so I had to sneak out without really having anything on me," Lily explained.

Leon looked at her with shock in his eyes. "You have to be joking." He took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"Sophia, can you please take her to your room so she can at least take a bath and maybe borrow something from you to wear? We will go shopping for stuff after that."

Sophia nodded and grabbed Lily, pulling her out of the room and into her apartment to get ready.

[....]

Whoosh!

A wine glass with wine inside flew through the air and slammed into a white wall, the wine staining the wall.

"Arghh, fuck this!" Liam roared as he rose to his feet. Scarlet was seated beside him with her nose all bandaged up.

"That fucking asshole disrespected me," he said and turned around to look at Scarlet. The rage in his eyes could not be quenched easily.

"I’m going to kill him, I swear it," he said and pulled out the phone from his pocket. He had been raging all night and now into the morning, and the rage had not gone down at all. It had only grown and grown, and now he wanted to take action and ensure that Leon was taken care of.

"Liam, is there really a need to go that far? Killing him after the fight that we had in public will surely make us the first suspects. We might get in trouble," she spoke, full of worry.

Liam looked at her and then burst into laughter for a few seconds.

"Trouble? No one can put me in trouble, and especially not some lowlife like him. He is nothing, and I’ll get rid of him." He clutched the phone hard.

Scarlet got to her feet, and then she walked to him. She hugged him from behind. "I know you are angry at him, and you are right to feel that way, but if you want to kill him, at least make it fast and quick so we can be over with it," she said.

"No, he needs to suffer, suffer and suffer even more. He does not deserve to have a fast death after what he did to me. I’ll make sure that he feels every bit of pain that there is to feel. I’ll make sure he grovels and begs."

Hearing that, Scarlet knew that there was nothing she could say or do that would make Liam show even a bit of mercy to Leon. She sighed and placed her head against his back without saying a word. Her eyes carried a certain level of pain for a few seconds, but then it vanished and was replaced by a cold indifference.

"Hello? Sonic, I have a job for you and your people to handle for me. A certain someone has chosen to be a pain in my ass, so I need you to get them for me and hand them over. I’ll send you the details soon." Liam finished his call and cut it.
