Chapter 77: Why? We were going to go to Virgo once we hit level 5, weren’t we?

"Why don’t we wait until level 20 to go to Virgo?"

Hearing that from Kazui, Yuri made a puzzled face.

"Why? We were going to go to Virgo once we hit level 5, weren’t we?"

"Lumia-san told me again yesterday that it would be better that way."

"It’s true she’s been saying that for a while, but everyone else headed for Virgo around the time they passed level 5."

The "everyone" Yuri meant was the fifteen people who had been transferred from Japan with them.

"From what I heard from Lumia-san yesterday, Brigadier-class monsters appear every day in labyrinth city dungeons."

"Brigadier-class... every day?"

Yuri raised his voice in surprise and his eyes went wide.

"There’s no way we can do anything if we go to Virgo around level 5."

"...Yeah. If it’s a place where things like that show up every day, we should do what Lumia-san says."

Yuri also knew firsthand how outrageously strong a Brigadier-class was.

Because of that, after hearing about Brigadier-class, he ended up changing his mind the same way Kazui had yesterday.

"Then you’re fine with us leaving Aquila only after we reach level 20?"

Yuri nodded at Kazui’s question.

"Then it’s decided."

And so the two of them decided to stay in Aquila until they reached level 20.

"Then... should we go home for now? We have to eat this."

The "this" Kazui meant was the meat pies in the paper bags they were holding.

The two of them still had not eaten breakfast.

"Yeah."

Deciding to return to the apartment, and seeing that the elevator looked crowded, they used the stairs to come down from the wall.

The area below the wall was as lively as a festival.

Some of the people who had come to see Iron Maiden off had run into friends and acquaintances here and were hanging around in front of the wall chatting.

Kazui and Yuri also ended up meeting someone they knew.

"Kazu-kun... and Yuri-kun, good morning!"

Hearing a familiar voice, Kazui and Yuri stopped and turned toward it.

Lumia came into view.

She was wearing jeans, a white blouse, and a flax-colored linen jacket, almost the same outfit as yesterday.

The collar of the blouse was a different shape, though, so it was not the same one she had worn yesterday.

"Lumia-san, good morning!"

Following Kazui, Yuri returned the greeting as well.

"Good morning, Lumia-san!"

Lumia stopped in front of them.

The three of them joined the people hanging around near the wall and chatting.

When Kazui and Lumia faced each other, they could not help remembering what had happened only yesterday.

Because of that, both of them looked a little embarrassed.

After showering with Lumia yesterday, Kazui had not gone straight home.

After talking for a while in the living room, he had eaten dinner with her, and after that they had sex again... with no connection to Replication, purely for enjoyment.

After sex they had showered again, and then Kazui had returned to his apartment, but it was already late at night.

That was why he had missed the chance to tell Yuri about waiting until level 20 to go to Virgo.

"Everyone in Aquila was saved by Iron Maiden. We have to at least see them off."

Remembering the battle from two days ago, Lumia continued.

"Besides, I’m the same as you two. I was saved on the battlefield by an Iron Maiden adventurer. It’s been a while since I last saw a Magic Gunner."

"A Magic Gunner?"

Kazui did not know the word Magic Gun, so he asked Lumia.

Hearing "gun" made him think of Kid, who had been equipped with a handgun.

"There’s a magic support item shaped like a gun called a Magic Gun, and adventurers who use those Magic Guns are called Magic Gunners."

"The Magic Gunner who saved you, Lumia-san... wasn’t she a woman with chestnut short hair, extremely tall, and sharp eyes?"

Asked by Kazui, Lumia tilted her head.

"She had chestnut short hair and sharp eyes, but I think she was only a little tall..."

At that point her expression suddenly cleared.

"From your point of view, Kazu-kun, she would have seemed extremely tall."

By Lumia’s sense, the woman was only a little tall, same as herself.

But she realized that from Kazui’s point of view, she would have seemed extremely tall.
