Life Game In Other World
Chapter 1875 - 1874: The Top Floor
Anke raised his head somewhat dazedly, looking around.
The buildings and scenes around him were fading at a speed visible to the naked eye.
It’s as if the facade of the entire world is being wiped away, revealing a deeper, more authentic world.
A world covered in a purple sheen, somewhat blurry and semi-transparent.
Faintly, a noisy sound echoed in Anke’s ears.
Anke instinctively wanted to withdraw his hand, but He Ao stopped him, "Don’t move."
Soon, the noisy sound gradually dimmed and blurred, as if blocked by an invisible barrier.
Everything around once again became blurry, and finally, completely fixed into this form.
"You can let go now." At this moment, He Ao finally spoke slowly.
Anke instinctively withdrew his hand, turned his head, and looked at the surrounding indistinct world, "Where is this?"
Through the surrounding hazy light and shadows, he could vaguely see the dancers leaping on the stage, the bustling crowd below.
Standing here, looking at the outside world, is like watching the content on an old, damaged, blurry television.
A figure walked past Anke, a blurry light shadow, but Anke still vaguely recognized it as the girl who had just given him a silk scarf.
At this moment, the girl was laughing and chatting with another guest, then took out an identical silk scarf and handed it to that guest.
She turned around, looking in Anke’s direction.
But she seemed not to see Anke, and walked straight towards him.
Anke turned sideways, trying to avoid the girl, but was still bumped by her body.
But miraculously, their bodies did not make any effective collision, and the girl just passed directly through Anke’s body.
As if Anke were merely an illusion.
"Old man, where have we reached?" Anke asked with a bit of shaking.
"A gap space located between reality and illusion," He Ao’s tone carried a hint of reminiscence, "All these years, the Witch Church’s things remain the same."
"How?" Anke was somewhat bewildered, "Old man, have you entered a place like this before?"
"How else do you think I knew how to enter?" He Ao said softly.
"What happens after we enter here?" Anke was a bit puzzled.
He turned around and looked at the misty and diffuse light and shadows around him, "Can we still get out?"
"Of course we can." He Ao directly replied, "Take another look at the restroom."
Anke turned his head and looked toward the restroom.
The restroom, which was originally glowing pink, had now dissipated its glow, leaving only some indistinct frames.
Seeing that thing, Anke was slightly stunned, then quickly ran over, passing through a large number of blurry figures.
Soon, he passed through the crowd and reached the restroom.
The hazy frames also displayed a rough shape before his eyes.
"This is an ’elevator.’" Anke looked blankly at the position of the frame, "There’s actually an elevator here, where does it get its power?"
"Elevator?" He Ao directly asked.
"It’s something that can quickly take people across floors, allowing people to go from the first floor to the top floor in a very short time, without having to climb stairs." Anke quickly explained.
While speaking, he reached out his hand and pressed the elevator’s upward button, the button’s light slowly illuminated, "But how does this thing get power?"
"It seems the Witch Church has indeed come up with something new," He Ao looked at the elevator and continued, "This thing probably doesn’t consume electricity, it just borrows this form,"
He Ao thought, "Then wrote the concept of a ’fast-moving elevator’ into this gap, creating an elevator within this gap."
Now it’s Anke’s turn not to understand what He Ao was talking about.
"So that’s it, anyway there’s an elevator here." Anke nodded.
He Ao could tell from his expression that he didn’t understand at all.
Ding—
The elevator door opened, seemingly afraid of He Ao further explaining the complex principles, Anke stepped forward and entered the elevator.
He turned his head, looking at the noisy hall outside the elevator, then at the floor buttons in the elevator, and quickly said, "Old man, where are we going?"
"35th floor." He Ao directly replied.
"This elevator doesn’t seem to reach the 35th floor," Anke looked at the numbers in the elevator, "it seems the highest is only 34th floor."
"Then let’s go to the 34th floor." He Ao said softly, "We’ll figure out a way to get to the 35th floor when we’re there."
"Okay." Anke directly reached out and pressed the 34th floor elevator button.
As the elevator doors slowly closed, the surrounding light and shadow also seemed to change.
The overall structure of this elevator looked completely sealed, but when he raises his head, he could faintly see the scenes outside.
And not just a specific elevator space, a specific area’s scenes, but as if all things on the entire floor were stacked outside.
This elevator was like the center of a beehive, across faint, blurry partitions like tea-colored glass, he could see what was happening in each grid room.
As the elevator’s floor number gradually ascended, the events occurring in this building were reflected in Anke’s eyes,
From floors 2 to 10, mostly multi-person private rooms.
These private rooms varied in size, large enough for dozens of people, small for only three to five people.
In these rooms were people admiring sexy girls dancing, people drinking together, and some surrounding a cool girl, taking the food from her body.
The higher we went, the prettier the girls in the rooms became, not entirely obedient, some had different personalities and looks.
But it could be clearly seen that the guests in the rooms were very ’happy.’
Anke had never thought that there were so many ’ways to play’ in the human world, even if it was just a glimpse, only seeing a fleeting scene as the elevator ascended, his worldview was greatly impacted.
And past the 10th floor, large private rooms became rare and the degree within the rooms grew larger.
Occasionally, a large private room appeared, where the ’games’ of the people inside directly challenged Anke’s three views.
From the 25th floor up, it’s basically single private rooms, at most two or three people.
Anke was still on the 25th floor when he saw an old acquaintance, the mercenary who initially brought him in and his earliest companion.
In the room was also a handsome-looking man, seemingly a staff member.
When Anke saw it, that man was tying the two mercenaries to an ’X’ type frame, waving a whip in his hand, wildly beating them.
But it could be seen that these two mercenaries enjoyed this action very much.
But Anke wasn’t surprised, as he ascended, his views had been numbed by the impact.
He only felt that these two mercenaries should be able to experience this ’game’ for free in the Mercenary Corps’ jail.
And the higher we went up, the originally blurry barriers became more obscured, leaving Anke able to see less and less.
Soon, the elevator reached the 34th floor, here Anke could barely see the outside appearance.
And at this moment, the elevator door slowly opened.
A somewhat vague corridor appeared in Anke’s field of view.
Anke stepped forward, walked into this corridor, standing there, looking outward, he could vaguely see densely packed grid compartments.
In these rooms, there seems to be someone moving faintly.
Anke directed his gaze towards the corridor in front of him, moving quickly forward.
He soon passed through the entire corridor, but did not see a path leading to the next room.
"Elderly, it seems there is no direct way to the 35th floor here." Anke stood in this blurry corridor, looking ahead somewhat confused.
"Close your eyes, recall the pattern you just sketched with blood in your mind." He Ao said.
Anke closed his eyes, starting to ponder that slightly distorted heart-shaped pattern.
"Now, lift your foot, take a step forward." He Ao continued.
Anke lifted his foot and stepped forward.
This time, his foot didn’t land on solid ground, a strong sense of panic surged in his heart, as if he were standing on the edge of a cliff, stepping forward.
His body tensed violently, his brain constantly sending signals to retrieve his foot.
But in the end, he stepped forward, onto the ground.
Bam—
Accompanied by a crisp sound, his foot landed on the ground, a breeze with slight warmth brushed against his cheek.
Anke opened his eyes, looking ahead.
A shimmering, bright, broad corridor appeared in his field of view, with art hanging on the walls.
The corridor before him was not a straight path but was inclined and staggered, with pillars and landscaping distributed throughout.
A gentle, elegant piano melody echoed throughout the hall.
Strictly speaking, this is not a corridor, but resembles an art hall.
An extremely subtle warm breeze wafted through the air, but compared to the stuffy mall, the air was so refreshing, like the breeze warmed by the Sun over the prairie, carrying a touch of clarity.
"I feel the Vissen City Government Building might not be as good as here." Anke glanced at this hallway decorated like a classical art gallery, remarking thoughtfully.
"Ilotan’s City Government probably isn’t as good either." He remarked again.
Compared to the bustling ground floor hall, this place was like some kind of high-class venue, filled everywhere with an elegant atmosphere.
Anke’s voice became much softer as he spoke.
"Elderly, what do we do next?" He lowered his voice, whispered, "There’s no sign pointing to the stairs here either."
"Find someone who knows something and ask." He Ao’s voice sounded in his ear.
"Someone who knows?" Anke was taken aback.
Thud thud thud—
Just then, soft footsteps sounded ahead.
He immediately turned around, hiding behind a pillar, glancing towards the direction of the footsteps.
Two figures emerged from behind a partition.
It was a tall, slender, seemingly thirty-four-year-old elegant lady, accompanied by a girl in a white long dress, with black hair hanging down her back, elegant demeanor, appearing to be from some noble lineage.
At this moment, the girl looked somewhat nervous, her head down, following closely behind the lady, one hand tightly grasping the hem of the lady’s dress.
The elegant lady also led her, slowly moving forward, soon stopping in front of what seemed like an art-decorated wall.
Knock knock knock—
The lady gently knocked on the wall.
Click—
A door hidden in the wall opened from the inside, a grey-haired man stepped out from behind it.
"Sir," the lady looked at the elderly man, speaking softly, "I’ve brought the person for you."
The elderly man turned his gaze, glancing at the girl beside the lady.
The girl tightly kept her head down, timidly, not daring to look up.
"Lift your head," the lady commanded coldly.
The girl stiffened slightly, then carefully raised her head to look at the man before her.
Her eyes, like plums coated in a pearly sheen, contained a subtle sparkle within them.
"This is the new young one," the lady smiled at the man, "You’re her first guest."
The man looked at the girl, nodded satisfactorily, "Alright, this one will do."
"This girl hasn’t been trained much," the lady explained softly, "There might be a few offenses..."
"Good, good—" the man nodded increasingly satisfied, looking at the lady, "Nice, I’m quite pleased this time."
"She caught a cold today, took medicine before coming, we’ve checked, it won’t be contagious," the lady glanced at the girl beside her, then lowered her head, whispering a few words in the man’s ear.
The man’s eyes noticeably brightened, he nodded slightly with a smile, "You’re professional, alright then,"
He stepped aside, somewhat eagerly saying, "Come in."
The girl raised her head, glanced at the lady beside her, her hand tightly holding the lady’s dress.
"Sir wants you to go in," the lady snorted coldly, directly reaching out her hand, knocking the girl’s hand away.
The girl looked at the lady, twitching her nose slightly, then turned her head, glanced at the man, lowered her head, and walked into the room.
Click—
The door closed.
The smile on the lady’s face gradually faded as she turned, gazing coldly toward a pillar not far away, and directly walked over.
Thud—thud—thud—
Anke huddled tightly behind the pillar, listening to the footsteps growing closer.
The hairs on his body stood up because of this.
He vaguely had a premonition that this elegant lady was very strong, incredibly strong, much stronger than that twin-tailed girl from the prairie.
Finally, the lady reached behind the pillar, turned her head, gazing toward the pillar.
It was empty.
She lowered her head, looking at the polished floor.
"Beep—"
Just then, the bracelet on the lady’s hand vibrated slightly, she glanced at it, then turned away, walking along the space behind the pillar.
As she passed, her peripheral vision swept briefly across the side of the pillar, which remained empty.
Only when the footsteps had completely faded did Anke, hiding behind the side of the pillar, let out a slight sigh of relief, almost circled the pillar.
Too terrifying.
At this moment, his mind was filled only with horror.
It seemed like death had just been inches away from him.
He took a deep breath, waiting a moment, confirming that the lady hadn’t returned before raising his head, looking towards the freshly closed door.
Someone who knows...
