Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 633 - 632: I’ve Been Searching for You
Chapter 633: Chapter 632: I’ve Been Searching for You
For a while, South Grant didn’t regain his senses.
"When did you find out?"
Nathan Foster hesitated for a moment before he spoke, "I’ve been investigating. I found out more than two years ago. At that time, you happened to be injured and were going abroad for surgery, so I never brought it up. Afterwards, during your recovery period, I thought I’d tell you when you felt better, but it kept being postponed until today."
South Grant didn’t expect Nathan Foster to have known so early, "What else do you know? Tell me everything now."
Nathan Foster merely smiled and then pulled her towards the mountain.
"Let’s go up and take a look first."
Nathan Foster pulled her up the mountain. The place was completely undeveloped, with just a narrow and uneven path.
South Grant and Nathan Foster walked for a long time before they reached the middle of the mountain, where there was a secluded cottage. The house was old, but the yard was very tidy.
There were flowers on one side and vegetables on the other, with a chicken coop behind the house.
This kind of rural courtyard could immediately bring a sense of peace to one’s heart.
South Grant looked quietly, carefully walking in.
There was no one in the yard. South Grant looked around, feeling a turmoil inside.
Had mother been living here all these years since her disappearance?
South Grant saw the flowers planted in the yard, all of which were her mother’s favorites.
Is it really her?
The house was empty, and South Grant waited.
It wasn’t until dusk that South Grant saw someone coming from afar.
South Grant waited, and only when the person drew near could he see clearly.
When South Grant saw her face clearly, his lips trembled, unable to say a word.
It felt like lifetimes had passed, and she always thought her mother had died, as she had searched for so many years without any result.
Now, seeing the familiar face from her memories, South Grant’s heart surged with emotion. She wanted to run over, but her feet wouldn’t move.
Stella Foster arrived home to find two people in the yard. When she saw the short-haired girl, Stella Foster froze.
The things in her hands fell to the ground, and her eyes instantly welled up with tears.
"Little South..."
One call of "Little South," and South Grant could no longer hold back.
In this world, the only ones who called her "Little South" were her parents.
"Mom!" South Grant ran over and threw herself into Stella Foster’s arms, crying.
The sky gradually darkened, and the room flickered with candlelight.
This mountain was bought by South Grant’s father back then. There was no electricity or development here, so at night, only candles were used.
In the candlelight, South Grant looked at Stella Foster.
So many years had passed, but Stella Foster seemed unchanged, still the face from her memories.
After the baptism of time, there was an added grace in her eyes, a charm that was unique to her.
"Mom, have you been living here all these years?"
"Yes."
"Why didn’t you come back? I have been looking for you all along."
Stella Foster listened to South Grant’s words and was silent for a long time before she spoke:
"I promised your father that when I died, I would be buried here. If he were here alone, he’d be very lonely."
At that moment, South Grant was speechless and could only change the subject, "Have you been on this mountain all these years without going out?"
"No, everything is here. I don’t want to go out."
The mother and daughter talked a lot, while Nathan Foster stayed in the yard, not coming in.
Stella Foster shared much with South Grant, who listened and asked about the past events.
"Mom, what happened back then? Was Dad killed by The Grant Family?"
When Stella Foster heard South Grant’s question, her eyes showed deep sorrow.
