Chapter 638: Chapter 637: I Won’t Let You Off

"Why don’t you spend more time with your mom?"

"I asked her to rest early." South Grant then walked over, sat down next to Nathan Foster, leaned on his shoulder, and sighed:

"Uncle, what should I do? I promised Mom before to take good care of Fiona Grant. If Mom finds out that Fiona and I are at odds, she’ll be really upset."

Nathan Foster put his arm around her shoulder, bringing her into his embrace and said:

"The grievances between you and Fiona Grant are like an abscess; the sooner it’s pierced, the better. You can speak directly; right and wrong, your mom knows in her heart."

South Grant also thought about saying it directly but ultimately didn’t know how to say it.

Afraid of making Stella Foster worry.

In the end, South Grant shook her head and said to Nathan Foster:

"My mom doesn’t interact with people outside and won’t know about the situation out there. I won’t tell her about Fiona Grant. If she wants to meet Fiona, I’ll bring her over and talk to her beforehand to put aside our differences in front of my mom so she won’t worry."

Nathan Foster didn’t agree with South Grant’s approach.

But seeing her expression at that moment, he eventually nodded.

As it got late, South Grant couldn’t sleep and stayed in Nathan Foster’s study.

Even when Nathan Foster was about to sleep, South Grant didn’t want to leave.

Finally, having no choice and fearing it wouldn’t look good to Stella Foster, she left.

The next day when she woke up, Stella Foster wanted to see Fiona Grant and Seth. South Grant said she’d go fetch them.

Seth was at Dr. Vance’s place and could come over at any time.

As for Fiona Grant, South Grant decided to go personally.

She went to Fiona Grant’s company; there wasn’t anyone at the front desk, not even a security guard.

South Grant went straight in; there was no one in the workspace either. Looking at the empty office, South wondered, has it shut down?

As she was thinking, Fiona Grant came out carrying a box.

When Fiona Grant saw South Grant, her gaze instantly turned cold.

"What are you here for? To see how miserable I am now because of you?"

Looking at Fiona Grant like that, South Grant didn’t want to say a word to her. If it weren’t for Stella Foster today, she wouldn’t have bothered with Fiona Grant.

"I’m not interested in how miserable you are," South Grant said plainly.

Fiona Grant slammed the box down on the ground with a thud, glaring darkly at South Grant.

"If you’re not here to laugh at me, then why are you here?" Her newly opened company was just closed down, and thinking about it made Fiona Grant want to strangle South Grant.

"Not everyone is as narrow-minded as you. Let me tell you, I won’t provoke unless provoked. If you hadn’t schemed against me, you wouldn’t have suffered the consequences in the end."

Fiona Grant’s face turned livid with anger. South Grant had won and was mocking her with the composure of a victor!

"South Grant, don’t be complacent. I won’t let you off!"

South Grant shot her a cold look, "You think I wanted to greet you? If it weren’t for Mother being back, I wouldn’t want her to see us like this and feel sad. Do you think I’d come to find you?"

Fiona Grant caught on to what South Grant said, startling her: "You said Mother is back? When and where?"

"She came back yesterday, staying at my place." South Grant said, giving Fiona a cold look before continuing flatly, "Today, I’m here to tell you, I’ll take you to see Mother. But the feud between the two of us cannot be shown in front of her. Otherwise, Fiona Grant, I guarantee you’ll regret it!"
