Chapter 109: The Crystal Heart

"What do you mean our third team couldn’t handle the Avalanche?!" Dean Pritchett tried to keep his voice down to the medical advisor who was explaining one of Ability Academy’s teams was knocked out during the reset.

"They were right at the initial point of impact. They tried reacting but they weren’t quick enough." The advisor explained calmly, despite the Dean’s angry stare.

"That team has Finnick on it. How the hell couldn’t they get out of there or protect themselves?!" He complained loudly while putting his hands on one of the control center’s bars.

"And why does Tyler keep disappearing into that little fort they’ve built, ugh!" The Dean sighed while accepting a medical capsule from the advisor for stress and anxiety.

’I really didn’t want to have to count on Blake’s team but now they need to finish high so we can score more points. Tyler I really wish you wouldn’t give me a damn heart attack with this,’ he thought while drinking a glass of water and observing all of the monitors.

"Sir, the Eidolons have moved again. Everything in their former area looks like a regular forest; we have no tracks, clues or anything to go by. Looks like they moved to a new area and the Avalanche took out around 1500 cameras. We’re getting complaints about the stream."

"Send out more what are you doing!" Dean Pritchett shouted in a rage.

They immediately sent out 2000 more of the very expensive AI cameras they used for the broadcast. The internet started buzzing again because SilverWing 2 and Rizkan 3 found themselves close together near the holy grail of the tournament.

Tyler continued writhing in pain while his body underwent his SSS evolution. Amanda used Qi infused elven magic, deeply focused on Tyler. She was the most impactful healer now.

Sophie used Qi and healing magic while Nyx used her Qi to help both of them. Kass finally got pissed off at herself and channeled as much of her energy as she could into Tyler, which seemed to give him a jolt.

"Fuck!" Tyler screamed in pain. "When will this stop?!"

"It’s ok baby...you’re just going through your next rank up!" Amanda said calmly while watching his body deconstruct and reconstruct itself.

"This doesn’t look normal," Sophie turned and whispered to Nyxara.

She nodded her head in agreement. Kass overheard and also nodded.

’What the hell is going on with Tyler?’ Kass thought, worried for him.

’This doesn’t make any sense. Why would he be changing so much?!’ Nyx thought while maintaining her usual calm demeanor.

Nyxara’s parents were both SSS ranked and she’d never witnessed anything like this. She was watching her fiancee’s body change right before her eyes. None of it made any sense.

Tyler howled in pain again while his body continued to transform.

"Way to go sis...your introduction is putting him through hell," Ash teased.

"Because it’s my fault mom designed a limitless system. Had you visited me in the Eidolon realm and formed this contract there this would’ve been quick and painless," Gaia laughed while rolling her eyes.

"He wasn’t ready. Rex and Shadow were both resting and recovering in his system." Ash said calmly.

"Sure they were Ash," Gaia teased.

"It’s nice to meet you, Lady Gaia," Rex said formally.

"Yes, such a strong and beautiful woman! It’s a pleasure to have you with us," Shadow added.

"You two are sweet but I don’t care about that formal shit. We’re all useless unless Tyler actually changes the world anyway so I figured I’d come and help."

"You call this helping?" Leviathan asked sarcastically.

"I mean look at him. That man is going to be fucking ripped," Vivian giggled.

"He really is. I wonder if it will effect his..."

"Ew! Shut up!" Ritsu complained.

"Seriously, if it wasn’t for you and my wonderful women, I don’t know how I’d survive this. It’s so fucking painful," Tyler said with a shaky voice.

"Um, Tyler...you’re butt naked!" Amanda blushed and giggled.

"Again?!" Tyler exclaimed, realizing he slipped up.

"What do you mean again?" Sophie asked him while staring at him with a confused expression.

"This happened when I awakened as a summoner. My body changed from a muscular blonde and blue eyed kid to a tall, skinny green eyed black haired kid. I told you the truth when we met!" Tyler said with a laugh.

"You’re tall but you are definitely not skinny," Kass also blushed while staring at his naked body.

"It looks like you grew 3 inches and you’re quite muscular now. What just happened to you Tyler, my parents are SSS and nothing like that ever happened to them."

"Say it’s a summoner thing," Vivian said quickly.

"I have no idea! It must be a summoner thing. Look, my staff is glowing," Tyler exclaimed as his staff was illuminating on the floor.

"We believe you. It’s just different, that’s all," Kass said while kissing his sweaty forehead.

Tyler opened a portal to the Realm of Summoned Monsters. This time, Bahamut and Asura were waiting.

"And that’s another one down for Rizkan!" Tommy V commentated on his livestream.

Rizkan and SilverWing both saw the crystal heart, rushed for it and ended up in the middle of a head to head battle for a prize they’d have to hold onto for 4 more days.

"Go grab the thing and get out of here!" One of the SilverWing students yelled to one of their teammates. The female student created icewalls to protect herself while trampling through the snow as quickly as she could."

"Looks like someone has snagged their team 10,000 points!" One of the workers in the control room said while updating the scoreboard.

’Damnit Tyler what the fuck are you doing?!’ Dean Pritchett continued to pace around the control center as he watched 10,000 points go up for SilverWing 2 as more fireworks flew into the sky.

"Nice job everyone! Let’s get out of here before someone finds us!" The captain of SilverWing said with a giant smirk.

A fanfare of trumpets played as fireworks shot off into the sky. The internet and watch parties were going crazy. The entire University at SilverWing were on its feet cheering, shooting spells into the air and screaming.

"We got it first!"

"We’re gonna win! There’s no way they’re going to find us and steal that thing!"

"Let’s go!"
