Chapter 110: Path of the Righteous

The hooded Eidolon appeared in the area of the forest completely sunny without snow. The 8 were meeting again and discussing their next strategy. Another smaller group of Eidolons approached the table but would never dare to sit. They politely bowed and listened. The leader was giving instructions on what they were to do and when they were to do it. One of the Eidolons spoke and the leader didn’t like their suggestion.

The leader’s hand extended over 25 feet and so rapidly the Eidolon never stood a chance. Its head rolled across the ground like a soccer ball. The 7 broke out in laughter while the others looked around nervously at each other.

"Ok so does anyone have an idea that isn’t completely stupid?"

A brave younger Eidolon stepped forward, bowed and raised his hand.

"Go ahead," the Leader said with a slick grin on their face.

"I think we should force the Rask group to rotate near a Legendary nest of beasts. Not Eidolon, just purely beast and cause them to provide us with a giant feast. If they die in the process, well, that’s two birds with one stone isn’t it, my Lord?"

The leader’s long black nails clicked on the table several times as the group sat in complete silence without a single facial expression. It was difficult for the group of Eidolons to wait as they were worried for the young one.

"I think that is an excellent idea. What might your name be, young Eidolon?"

"Vox," he said calmly.

"And your Eidolon form? Why have I not met you?"

"Hydra. I was recently brought here via pentagram from the VanHorn family."

"How is that possible? Isn’t he dead?" The leader stood up, angry.

"I said recently, my Lord. I should have been more clear. I’ve only been here for two months."

"Who recruited you?" The head Eidolon sat back down, relaxing quickly.

"You know I cannot say." Vox remained calm and stood his ground.

"You can tell me, I’m the one who runs this forest after all."

"Too many gods and goddesses watching. It would be foolish to expose the person who recruited me."

The other Eidolons watched nervously thinking Vox was doomed.

"Vox, set the trap. I expect it to be ready at the daily reset." One of the other 7 important Eidolon commanded.

"Yes mam," Vox said before walking away.

Tyler stood in front of the King and Queen of the Eidolons completely naked and blushed in the face.

"Tyler, your ethereal glow is so much bigger!" Sophie gasped.

"So are his arms, legs and butt!" Kass laughed.

"At least he doesn’t look like one of those goofy body builders or something. He just looks like a more handsome, lean, ripped Tyler," Nyx said cheerfully.

"His aura is warm now! What exactly just happened to you mister!" Amanda said as she touched his pulsating aura.

’Something seems different about everyone...’ Tyler thought before using ’inspect,’ on everyone.

"Mr. Rask, do you finally understand what happened yet?" Bahamut asked with a giant smirk.

"I know everyone except Nyxara ranked up but she’s basically on the verge of it." Tyler said with a kind smile followed by a soft frown.

"Congratulations ladies!" Nyxara said while running to give them each a hug.

Tyler felt stupid for thinking Nyx would be anything but supportive. He was bummed she didn’t rank up, but he still had literally no idea what Bahamut meant by his question. Sure, he knew he was SSS rank and his stats were all 100 or 110 in spirit and he felt physically stronger, but he also knew most of that came from Gaia giving him the "SSS push" to his already powerful group of familiars. What surprised him the most was Amanda and Kass reaching S.

He walked up to each one of them and gave them a large hug and kiss. He wanted to save Amanda for last because she was already in tears. He knew the elves had to accept her now. That D ranked healer with the nasty infection was gone. Now it was the powerful blonde beauty with complete mastery of Qi at the age of 19.

"I love you Sophie, only one more rank to go," he whispered. She smiled and thanked him then looked at her ring on her finger.

"I’m so proud of you. I knew once you started putting some effort into it you’d rank up quickly but I think you getting pissed off and using your Qi caused you to rank up. I love you Kass," Tyler smiled. Kass laughed, winked and looked at Asura, who had a wide grin on her face.

"Nyxara, I love you and you’re still SSS to me. Everything you do always amazes me and the way you’ve helped us all, I know you’ll be there soon," he spoke softly into her ear. She blushed, kissed him on the cheek and noticed Bahamut was also looking at everyone with a large smirk.

Tyler wiped Amanda’s tears away and kissed her on the forehead first. His mouth was met with joyful, welcoming lips. He could feel the warmth and passion coming from her.

"I love you Amanda and I’m very proud of you. I remember you being so shy and so hard on yourself all the time. Confidence still looks really good on you."

"It’s all because of you mister! Well, and the girls helped a lot too but without you I wouldn’t be who I am so thank you! I love you too."

"And I wouldn’t be who I am without you!" Tyler smiled, finally turning to look at Bahamut while using his hands to cover his privates.

With one small wave of Asura’s hand Tyler was neatly dressed in a comfortable pair of joggers, a tee shirt and a hoodie. She somehow managed to throw boxers, socks and new running shoes on him.

’I don’t know why this still surprises me,’ he thought before thanking her.

"Well Tyler, how do you feel?" Bahamut asked, his booming voice echoing throughout the chamber.

"Strong and still pissed off about this tournament." Tyler said calmly.

"And why are you pissed about the tournament?" Asura asked politely.

"They killed a mythological Eidolon just to show off its heart! That’s messed up," Tyler complained.

"It was a mythological beast, not an Eidolon, but yes, I see why that would upset you," Bahamut spoke calmly and clearly.

"Wait, there can be mythological beasts that aren’t Eidolons...I just figured they’d be Eidolon."

"Tyler, you still have so much to learn," Bahamut smirked.

"Yes, there can be mythological beasts. Did you not just defeat a Legendary harpy?"

"True...but they look human anyway. So that wasn’t an Eidolon?" Tyler asked, still slightly confused.

"No. There is a difference, but that is not what I brought you here," Bahamut said in a more serious tone.

"I know that your staff was inflicted with dark magic. In order to cleanse it, you must use a mythological crystal heart on it. Fortunately... you know where to find one," Bahamut said with a smile.
