Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 127: The Big Interview
Before a large group could follow them, they quickly followed the crew up a corridor into a classroom. No one was attending the class and Tyler was surprised to see an entire staff for makeup, hair were waiting for each of the girls and Tyler to take a seat. The classroom was converted into a room for interviews for the tournament and Tyler had a personal stylist. Each of the girls were put into dresses and Tyler was put into a suit. Everything they wore had the AA logo on it and Ability Academy team 1.
After what felt like forever, they finally were moved over to the studio area where Tyler sat in the middle of the four girls on a sofa. The interviewer, Susan, was energetic, bubbly and the Dean watched nervously.
"Now Tyler, just be yourself. I’ll do everything I can to make sure this interview goes well. If there’s any questions you don’t feel comfortable answering, we can just edit those out so don’t worry about that," Susan said with a wink and a smile.
"Sounds good," Tyler responded while looking at the girls, who looked happy and excited.
Nyx whispered in Tyler’s ear, "Not many people get an interview with Susan so this is really good."
The countdown started on the cameraman’s hand and they noticed several AI cameras hovering around and floating to catch different angles of the group.
"Hello everyone! This is Susan here with the Prestige’s on site report. Today we have the one you’ve all been waiting for, Ability Academy’s Team 1 which dominated the first event. Everyone give it up for Tyler Rask and his beautiful fiancees!"
Tyler smirked at the fake fan cheers played from a machine over by the dean. The girls smiled and waited for the fake cheers to stop before the woman turned to them again.
"So Tyler, tell me, how does it feel to know you just won the first event for your school with your future wives?" She asked sincerely.
"I definitely couldn’t have won without them and I don’t think I would have been able to survive a week in that forest without their cuddles and support, so pretty good!" Tyler answered charismatically.
The girls blushed and smiled, aside from Nyx and Sophie, who looked just as confident as Tyler.
"An impressive group indeed. No one on your team is lower than rank S yet you all started at B or below, aside from Nyxara. How and where did your team get such a sudden surge from?" She asked with a cheery smile.
"Lots of hard work. My familiars bring out the best in me and each and every day I learn something from one of these beautiful women. Like I said Susan, there’s zero chance I win that event or even hit SSS without their help."
Susan gasped and the Dean screamed, "FUCK YES," which made everyone in the room, including the girls laugh.
"You mean to tell me you’re actually ranked SSS?" Susan said with a shocked expression.
"Surely you have someone on your wonderful staff that can confirm it. I have no reason to lie to the great people of Vexarra! I am a prince after all," Tyler said while turning to look at Nyx with a big smile. He kissed her on the cheek and she finally blushed.
"Nyxara, that brings me to you. The crimson valkyrie. The most feared dueling student across all ability universities last year and you built an even bigger reputation this year. What drew you in to Tyler. Why did you decide to get engaged with him?" Susan asked respectfully.
’I can’t believe how nice this woman is. I thought this interview thing would be torture but it’s going really well,’ Tyler thought, beaming with a wide grin.
"Honestly, they signed up for a mission and Sophie, Kass and Amanda pulled me aside and asked me my opinion of him. They convinced me to go for it and I’m glad I did! He’s such a great guy and he treats us all with the same love and respect any woman would dream of. Even though he’s a human, he’s accepted by the vampiric people and it’s the reason we all wear these bracelets and gorgeous rings," Nyx said while showing off her left hand.
She was wearing the Bahamut and Asura made engagement ring as well as the bracelet with the ruby heart Tyler bought her to match the others.
More fake fan cheers played, but this time they included whistles and cat-calls.
Dean Pritchett was on cloud nine. His best team was having the interview his school needed, especially after their two day disappearance.
"A human summoner as a prince of the vampiric people. Can you tell us more about your two day disappearance after the tournament?" She turned to Sophie this time, who was more than willing to answer.
"Yes. We had some Eidolon affairs to sort out with Bahamut and Asura. Everything is squared away and the people of Vexarra are safe!" Sophie said with a brilliant smile.
More cheers played from the machine. They were pulling out all the stops to make this team look absolutely stunning.
"My oh my, everyone on your team is on a first name basis with the god of the dragons and his goddess wife. Well, what was it like being in that forest knowing Eidolons or beasts could attack you at any time? What caused Tyler to writhe in pain at the end?" Susan asked with a concerned tone, which helped Tyler lean into the question.
"A powerful dragon goddess who warned us all not to go into the forest anymore. I’d advise all students, staff and the other schools to abide by this rule. Going there likely means death, so please, for everyone’s safety, understand that’s why we were away for two days. To ensure everyone’s safety!" Tyler said with a calm, respectful tone that landed just right.
"Well, Kass and Amanda... the two S ranked super stars who came through when the group needed it most. How are you two feeling after a week in that forest?" Susan asked, looking at Kass first.
"Glad it’s over!" Kass joked.
"Seriously, I’m glad we were able to win and I’m glad everyone is safe. I know some students didn’t make it out and that’s really hard for their schools and families. I know I’m a demon, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings. I will pray for them and I wish them a peaceful passing." She said with teary eyes.
"Aw, so sweet." Susan put her hand over her heart as the cameras captured both her and Kass on the split screen.
"And you Amanda?"
"Well, as a support person, I’m just glad to do my part and like Kass said...we could have been killed in that forest so I will also say my prayers for those souls lost. It’s my duty as a vampiric noble to ensure the safety of all!" Amanda said confidently but empathetically.
"So touching. This group, ladies and gentlemen, should be a lot of fun to root for moving forward! I’m Susan McKnight and this is The Prestige Nightly!"
