Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 136: He’s Bacccck!
Tyler walked into his bedroom and could hear the ladies in the living room talking. He very quietly grabbed his cell phone, which they left neatly charging on his end table and checked it. He hoped they didn’t peak because he had the honeymoon planned out for them. For the next two weeks they would be 2000 miles south of Vespa in a city Ash helped him pick out: Evemore.
Plenty of 5* restaurants and basically a honeymooner’s paradise and he booked it for two weeks. He didn’t care about the tournament anymore. If Nyx wanted to do the duo events they could teleport anyway. It had a waterpark on site and they’d have two weeks of fun in the sun. He even planned a day at an aquarium. He was stunned at how different sea life was but how fish, dolphins and even orca whales from Earth still shared the ocean with them.
He slowly walked up and was immediately tackled by them. He laughed and was glad to see them too. After they caught up about the tournament stuff, he simply explained that when they got married on Sunday they’d be receiving a new ability and not to freak out about it. He explained when he put the ring on they’d probably go into sensory overload for a bit, but it would be something well worth it.
They didn’t press him any further and they abandoned the rotation for the night and they all cuddled up with him in bed. He was proud of Nyx and Sophie for having a close fight and pleasantly surprised Amanda won the Qi competition. Somewhere in the back of his mind he figured Nyx and Sophie let her win but he didn’t want to think that way. They were just too good with it for someone who recently picked up on it to beat them. It was possible, but he didn’t want to sound like a giant asshole either.
They woke up the next morning and relaxed for as long as they could. Because the wedding was at the castle, they didn’t have much choice. Tyler knew they all had clothes at their "home," in the Castle and because he was much more comfortable teleporting now, he offered to take Amanda and Kass. He ended up mostly in the same area as Nyx but accidentally ended up in the wrong room.
"Sorry about that!" Tyler said while they made their way out of the throne room awkwardly.
The King and Queen would have probably been upset with anyone else, but since it was Tyler and he was getting married tomorrow, they just shook their heads and were glad they weren’t doing anything important.
"Maybe you should just let me handle the teleporting?" Vox said while yawning.
"Nope. I have to get better at it otherwise what’s the point? What happens when you’re doing something outside of my body and I want to teleport. I can’t exactly have you do it for me then..." Tyler said confidently.
"You could let him help you for a bit," Ash chuckled. "I think you gave the Queen a heart attack."
Tyler smirked and shook his head and listened to more about the tournament from Amanda and Kass on the way to their room. Apparently Ability Academy was now so far ahead it was almost impossible for them to lose. He wasn’t surprised Nyx was able to win 1v2s so easily.
When they got to their room, both of Nyx’s parents were waiting and Tyler was basically kicked out. He got to say goodbye and give them kisses and such, but he was taken by Nyxara’s father to a different area of the castle.
"You’ll get to see them tomorrow, don’t worry. It’s just tradition," Mr. Atwood explained to Tyler as they walked the castle halls together.
"Sir, do you believe in the gods?" Tyler asked. He weighed on whether or not to dive right into it or build up small talk. Knowing him from school, he figured he would have liked the direct approach.
"Of course I do. Why do you ask?" Nyx’s dad kept walking without missing a beat.
"I was just curious about Nyxara’s upbringing and what her family believes. I was taught to believe in them growing up too, it was just a lot different." Tyler said while continuing to walk side by side with him throughout the castle.
There were plenty of vampires around, some waved, some completely ignored them. It was an interesting experience for Tyler nonetheless.
"I think it’d be hard for it not to be a little different for all cultures. All the vampires believe in them because we are said to be a direct creation from them. I’m guessing humans, elves, werewolves, and demons all have their own views on the matter. Some refuse to believe in them which is pretty bizarre considering the entire world knows you’ve met two." He said while shaking his head.
"People are always going to believe what they want sir, nothing we can do about it." Tyler said while they took a turn to the right.
"I’m glad my daughter’s husband has a good head on his shoulders. Someone will come get you tomorrow. You’re free to roam around the castle but do not visit anywhere west of this room." He said sternly.
"So basically don’t go backwards. Got it." Tyler said while opening the door to a very fancy room.
He sat down in a chair and scrolled through his cell phone, watching clips of the girls tournament. He smiled and felt silly cheering for them, but he couldn’t help it. The match between Sophie and Nyx had over 30 billion views at this point and Tyler was mesmerized each time he watched it.
’Incredible...’
He decided to go for a walk and was surprised at how many people stopped to chat with him. He asked over twenty people to stop treating him so formally. He didn’t mind and it gave him a good glimpse of what his future in this castle would be like if things stayed normal.
Eventually he ate a nice dinner by himself, which was weird and he reflected on his new life and how quickly he’d come in such a short amount of time. He eventually texted the girls goodnight and fell asleep.
******
The girls were all getting instructions on what they were to do and when at the ceremony. Sophie was glad they got to select their own bridesmaids until Nyx came up, then they would go fill in that role for her.
They ate dinner together and enjoyed a nice spa evening.
"So tomorrow we officially become vampiric royalty and gain some ability Tyler wouldn’t tell us about," Kass said while soaking in a hot tub.
"This feels gooooood," Sophie said while dunking her head underwater. "I wonder what ability we could all possibly gain?"
"Summoners?" Amanda asked.
"That seems too simple," Nyx said while floating across the large hot tub.
"Well, whatever it is, hopefully it lets us catch up to him because his eyes are almost completely gray now. The green is almost gone," Kass smiled.
"Maybe we’ll all become goddesses!" Sophie laughed.
