Live Streaming Academy
Chapter 263: Madam Alfoy
The goblin adjusted his tie and looked up at the teenager. "Please provide your broadcasting drone so I can scan the serial number and create your financial profile according to your registered system ID."
Solomon pointed a finger directly at his own face. "This is my profile. Not to brag but, I am sure everyone in this academy knows exactly who Solomon is."
The goblin agent stared blankly at Solomon for a few seconds. "I have never seen someone like you before, nor do I know anyone named Solomon. Please present your drone so we can proceed with the transaction."
Solomon let out an unhappy sigh. "I do not have my drone right now. It was recently destroyed during a mission, and I am currently waiting for the administration to issue a replacement."
"Then you should only come to me when you actually possess your drone," the goblin agent replied dismissively, turning around to leave.
Solomon frowned, his patience rapidly evaporating. "I did not come to you. You were ’called’ here for me."
Solomon turned his intense glare toward the elven receptionist. "What is all this bureaucratic nonsense? I am sure the academy already possesses full access to everyone’s profile. You literally just checked my exact balance a minute ago. Why is this agent making such a massive deal out of a simple serial scan?"
"Our departments are different so I can’t do anything," the helper responded.
"Even so, it is part of the academy. The academy has my profile and this is literally LIVE Streaming Academy. Like it can’t get any clearer than this," Solomon groaned in frustration.
"It is strictly for verification purposes to ensure everything goes smoothly and securely," the goblin agent replied, turning back around with a scowl.
Solomon lashed out, leaning aggressively over the counter. "What kind of verification do you possibly need when I am literally standing right in front of you?!"
"Students can get permanently banned from the banking network for misbehaving with the staff," the goblin warned, his tone turning sharp.
"I am not misbehaving with anyone!" Solomon argued, throwing his hands up in frustration. "I am just trying to make sense of this and understand what the fuck is going on! Why is it so incredibly difficult to execute a normal, basic process in this academy without making every single step so damn complicated and uselessly difficult?!"
Just as Solomon finished his rant, a sharp, authoritative voice echoed from behind him.
"What is going on here, and why is there all this commotion?"
Solomon spun around, fully prepared to argue with another administrative hurdle. He stopped and blinked. The woman standing before him looked exactly like Yue Alfoy, possessing the same peach-colored hair and striking emerald eyes, except she wore elegant, wire-rimmed glasses and carried the mature, commanding presence of a senior professor.
It was Madam Alfoy, Yue and Marco’s mother.
The goblin agent and the elven helper immediately stood up from their seats upon seeing her, bowing their heads respectfully.
"I will ask again," Madam Alfoy said, her voice perfectly calm but carrying an undeniable weight. "What is going on here?"
The goblin agent scrambled to explain the situation, deliberately twisting the narrative to blame Solomon entirely, making the teenager look like an unruly troublemaker refusing to follow standard banking protocols.
Solomon crossed his arms, fully prepared to defend himself against the blatant slander.
However, Madam Alfoy simply raised a hand to silence the goblin.
She looked at the agent and then pointed toward the crystal console. "Start the process immediately. Make sure it is finished quickly, and ensure there are no mistakes."
The agent sputtered, instinctively protesting. "Madam Alfoy, the rules and regulations explicitly state that we must scan the serial number from the broadcasting drone before we can—"
"I am fully aware of the regulations," Madam Alfoy interrupted, adjusting her wire-rimmed glasses. "I am a Senior Instructor here, but I also sit on the Academy Board of Directors as the Head of External Affairs. The entire internal banking system operates under my direct jurisdiction. Solomon is to be treated as a VIP. You will list him as a priority customer and bypass the drone requirement."
The goblin agent glared at Solomon, then looked back at Madam Alfoy. He swallowed his pride, offered a stiff bow, and muttered, "I will start the process right away, Madam."
Madam Alfoy turned to Solomon. "While they handle the paperwork, how about we have a quick chat in my office?"
Solomon was slightly confused by the sudden invitation, but he nodded and agreed.
Her office was located conveniently close by in the administration wing, which explained why she had heard the commotion at the help desk.
Her workspace was vastly different from the Grandmaster’s sprawling office. It was about half the size, though still incredibly spacious, featuring organized bookshelves, neat stacks of parchment, and a cozy seating area.
She sat down behind her polished desk and gestured for Solomon to take a seat on the plush couch. She then turned to her personal attendee waiting near the door. "Bring us something to drink." She looked at the teenager. "What would you like to have, Solomon?"
Solomon pondered the offer for a second. "Since I have been stuck in the Eastern Realms eating their traditional cuisine and drinking herbal tea, and I will be going home soon to drink canned sodas and modern stuff... maybe I should just have whatever drink best suits the academy."
Madam Alfoy offered a faint, amused smile. "That is a rather incredibly roundabout way of telling me you will just have whatever." She turned to her attendee. "Bring us two cups of spiced nectar."
Once the attendee left the room, Madam Alfoy leaned back in her chair, crossed her legs, took off her glasses, and let out a long, tired sigh.
Solomon wanted to ask why she had brought him here, but he decided to give her some time to explain her intentions on her own terms.
’She is like Yue in more ways than one...’ Solomon thought as he stared at her and waited.
