Nicole shook her head and got up to see Ariel Morris off, "I haven’t had much of an appetite lately, no need to fuss, you should head back, drive safely."

So much has happened recently, she has no appetite for anything, she doesn’t want to eat anything.

Ariel Morris pressed her lips together, "This won’t do, I’ll ask Aunt Forest to make some soup for you, and bring it over next time. You must eat a bit more, I’ve noticed you’ve lost quite a bit of weight."

Nicole escorted Ariel Morris to the main entrance of the inpatient department, and Ariel Morris told her she didn’t need to see her off.

"My brother is coming to pick me up after work, no need to see me off," Ariel Morris smiled gently.

The person approaching was none other than Jose Floyd, whom she hadn’t seen in over half a month. As he approached, his face remained stern, "Nicole."

His deep voice awakened her thoughts. She gently shook her head at him, her voice somewhat hoarse, "Don’t come over here, Jose Floyd, this is a hospital."

Jose Floyd’s thin lips moved, deeply gazing at Nicole, "Do you believe me?"

The reason why he hadn’t appeared in front of her these days was because he was Camden’s superior, and almost everyone speculated that he was the one who gave Camden the orders. His position would make things difficult for her, so he held back his longing and didn’t see her.

But more than half a month had passed, and he had reached his limit. He came to the hospital today just to catch a glimpse of her, not expecting to lock eyes with her.

Nicole looked back at Jose Floyd, standing on the higher part of the inpatient department stairs, taking him into sight.

"Jose Floyd, did you do it?" Nicole softly asked, "I’m only going to ask you one question, tell me, did you do it?"

Jose Floyd’s throat moved, he remained silent for a while before responding in a deep voice: "Nicole, you can owe me for a lifetime, any way I torment you is a debt you originally owed me, but Nicole, I never thought of taking your life. Whether it’s the past, present, or future, my knife won’t ruthlessly turn on you, much less the barrel of my gun."

His voice was firm and powerful, full of determination, and the seriousness in his eyes and words softened Nicole’s expression, she said lightly, "I know."

She had never thought that he wanted to take her life, even if she didn’t ask, she had told her brother this, she believed it wasn’t him. Jose Floyd wasn’t a kind person, but he wouldn’t hurt her fatally, otherwise with his abilities, she would have died a hundred times over by now.
