Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!
Chapter 1546: Little Lover Derek Brooke [2]
Lydia Brooke opened her car, changed into casual clothes, wore sunglasses, and headed straight to the airport.
Thinking about the person she was about to meet, Lydia Brooke felt unprecedentedly happy.
At the airport entrance.
Lydia Brooke stopped the car, saw the two people, one big, one small, standing at the airport entrance, and her lips curled into a warm smile, "Derek Brooke."
As the greeting fell, Lydia Brooke stepped out of the car with her long legs, took off her sunglasses, and her smile was fresh, "Gentlemen, I’m late, I apologize, I apologize."
"Miss Brooke, you’re twenty minutes and forty seconds late," Little Mr. Derek Brooke glanced sideways at Lydia Brooke and scolded, his face very calm, but there was a twinkle in his eyes.
Lydia Brooke immediately nodded, looking at the little gentleman who was almost as tall as her, very graciously admitting her mistake, "Yes, yes, I’m late, to make amends, I’ve booked the best hotel to welcome you." Lydia Brooke said, looking at the man who had been smiling warmly at her, extending her hand, and greeting with a smile, "Thank you for bringing him back and taking such good care of him, thank you, Beau Haston."
"Lydia Brooke, you’re being polite again, Derek is very well-behaved."
Beau Haston had a long figure, his mixed heritage giving him deep, handsome features, a high nose bridge, dense eyebrows, and between his brows and eyes, there was a captivating magic; his gestures carried the elegance of a European gentleman, and he spoke very fluent Mandarin.
"Let’s head to City C, I’ll be the host. Mr. Haston, Little Mr. Brooke, let’s get in the car." Lydia Brooke led them to the car, her gentle gaze falling on Derek Brooke, "You’ve grown quite tall, and more handsome."
"Miss Brooke, you’ve become prettier too, the rumors have reached abroad. Seems like without me as a third wheel, you’re quite popular." Derek Brooke teased lightly with a calm expression.
Lydia Brooke smiled and glanced, "You little rascal, only ten years old and already so cheeky."
The three laughed and chatted as they got into the car.
Lydia Brooke drove Derek Brooke and Beau Haston to eat, choosing the most famous roast duck in City C.
Beau Haston praised the taste of the roast duck, and Derek Brooke also said, "It’s alright."
To hear Derek Brooke say "It’s alright," Lydia Brooke laughed and replied, "That’s not easy, for our young master Brooke to say that, is already a great compliment."
Beau Haston laughed, "You mother and son really... understand each other very well."
"I gave birth to him, of course I understand," Lydia Brooke poured a cup of tea for Derek Brooke who was eating.
Beau Haston stood up, apologized to Lydia Brooke, and went to the restroom.
As Beau Haston left, Derek Brooke raised an eyebrow at Lydia Brooke, "Marry him, from my years of observation, this man is worth trusting for a lifetime. He doesn’t mind that it’s a package deal with you, that’s good enough, Miss Brooke."
Lydia Brooke tapped her slender, beautiful finger on Derek Brooke’s forehead, "Eat your food, don’t talk."
"Such good men aren’t easy to find, he’s fond of what’s mine and treats me well, I do want you to marry him. Though he’s not my biological dad, there’s nothing to criticize about his treatment of me, I’m supportive. Miss Brooke, don’t sacrifice yourself for me, at this age, there are fewer good men to choose from, especially since you’re dragging along family."
"You little rascal!" Lydia Brooke chuckled, sipping the tea she held in front of her, but as her eyes lowered, a dim light flickered in her eyes, and her beautiful finger stiffened, "So now you feel like a burden, holding me back from finding a quality man?"
"I didn’t say that, nor do I admit I’m a burden." Derek Brooke shrugged, carrying an aura of elegance and prestige between his brows and eyes.
