-------------------------------------------------

A few weeks had passed since Karna’s marriage, and life in Trivenivrata had gradually returned to its usual rhythm.

The celebrations had concluded, the visiting guests had departed, and the kingdom’s administration was functioning smoothly once again.

Devara had spent the intervening weeks attending to several matters that had accumulated during his absence.

He had also spent considerable time with his family, particularly his children, who had been rather unhappy with his prolonged absence during the war.

However, there was another promise he needed to fulfil.

A promise made to Goddess Alakshmi.

The Forty-Two Stars Bracelet.

He had promised to retrieve the ancient Egyptian artefact that would help the goddess control her influence over misfortune, poverty, and discord.

Although several other responsibilities had occupied his attention, he had not forgotten that promise.

Now, he was finally preparing to travel to the realm governed by the Egyptian pantheon.

Inside his private chamber, Devara sat before a table covered with several scrolls and documents.

His system interface appeared before him, displaying the information he had previously obtained through his special ability.

[Skill: Find & Copy]

[Target: Forty-Two Stars Bracelet]

[Location identified.]

[Realm: Egyptian Divine Territories]

[Current custodian: Information restricted.]

Devara examined the information carefully.

His Find & Copy ability had successfully identified the artefact and its location.

The skill was particularly useful because it could locate an object he required and create a duplicate possessing the same properties as the original.

However, he had no intention of simply creating a copy without understanding the circumstances surrounding the original bracelet.

After all, he was travelling to another pantheon, and the object might have considerable religious or historical significance to its guardians.

"I suppose I should make certain I don’t accidentally start another war while trying to retrieve a bracelet," he muttered.

The system offered no response.

Devara dismissed the interface and leaned back.

There was another matter he needed to consider.

Travelling between divine realms was not as simple as moving between kingdoms.

The different pantheons existed within their own dimensional territories, and crossing those boundaries required specific knowledge and considerable control over one’s energy.

Fortunately, his father had already taught him something about this.

Devara remembered the years he had spent training under Lord Vishnu on the barren island.

During one of their training sessions, after Devara had successfully demonstrated his ability to manipulate Maya, Vishnu had explained several aspects of the dimensional boundaries separating different realms.

At the time, Devara had been more interested in mastering his father’s combat techniques and had not paid much attention to the explanation.

Vishnu, however, had insisted that such knowledge was necessary.

The universe is not limited to the worlds you can perceive, Devara.

Beyond the realms familiar to you, there exist numerous dimensions, each governed by its own laws, energies, and divine authorities.

The different pantheons have their own territories.

Although they are connected through the greater cosmic structure, their boundaries cannot be crossed through ordinary means.

To open a passage between two dimensions, you must first identify the resonance of the destination realm.

Every dimension possesses a distinct energy signature.

Once you establish a connection with that signature, you can use your own yogic energy to create a temporary passage through the dimensional boundary.

Devara remembered asking his father whether it was possible to travel to any realm using that method.

Vishnu had smiled.

In principle, yes.

However, knowing the destination is not enough.

You must possess sufficient control to maintain the passage.

A poorly constructed portal can collapse before you reach the other side, or worse, leave you stranded between dimensions.

At the time, Devara had asked whether his father could simply open a portal for him.

Vishnu had laughed.

I could. But what would you learn from that?

The memory brought a faint smile to Devara’s face.

"Father certainly knew how to make even the simplest journey into a training exercise."

Returning to the present, Devara stood up and moved towards the open balcony.

He extended his right hand and began gathering his yogic energy.

A faint ocean-blue radiance appeared around his palm.

Initially, it resembled a small sphere of light, but gradually the energy began expanding, forming several concentric rings.

Devara closed his eyes.

He recalled the dimensional resonance that his system had identified for the Egyptian realm.

Rather than forcing his energy against the boundary separating the dimensions, he allowed his yogic energy to interact with the distant resonance.

For several moments, nothing happened.

Then the air before him began to distort.

A thin circular outline appeared, its edges shimmering like the surface of water disturbed by a gentle breeze.

Devara opened his eyes.

"Well, that seems promising."

He increased the flow of energy.

The circular outline expanded, revealing a faint glimpse of another sky beyond it.

Strange golden light illuminated the other side, accompanied by an unfamiliar atmosphere that carried an entirely different divine presence.

The portal was still unstable, but the connection had been established.

Devara slowly withdrew his hand, allowing the opening to contract.

He did not want to risk travelling through an unstable passage before properly testing it.

"Looks like the training wasn’t wasted after all."

He glanced towards the system interface, which had reappeared.

[Dimensional Resonance Identified.]

[Destination: Egyptian Divine Territories.]

[Portal Formation: Successful.]

[Stability: Requires further refinement.]

Devara nodded.

He would spend the next few days improving the stability of the portal before making his journey.

There were also preparations to complete at the palace.

He needed to inform his wives, arrange for someone to oversee the kingdom in his absence, and ensure that his children understood that he would once again be travelling.

Most importantly, he needed to inform Goddess Alakshmi that he was finally preparing to fulfil his promise.

Devara looked towards the distant horizon.

Somewhere beyond the dimensional boundaries lay another pantheon, with its own gods, ancient histories, and divine treasures.

And this time, he was travelling there not to fight a war or challenge a king, but to fulfil a promise made to someone who had once been treated as unwelcome even among the gods.

"Forty-Two Stars Bracelet," he murmured.

"Let’s see what kind of adventure you have waiting for me."

Meanwhile, in Vaikuntha, the eternal abode of Lord Vishnu, everything remained peaceful.

The celestial waters shimmered beneath the golden radiance of the divine realm, while the gentle sound of sacred music echoed through the magnificent palace.

Lord Vishnu was reclining upon the coils of Adishesha, whose enormous hoods spread above him like a divine canopy.

Goddess Lakshmi sat beside him, attending to the Lord while occasionally glancing towards the various activities taking place throughout Vaikuntha.

It was an ordinary peaceful moment until Lord Vishnu suddenly opened his eyes.

His gaze shifted towards the vastness beyond Vaikuntha, as though he had sensed something taking place in a distant corner of creation.

Lakshmi immediately noticed the change.

"Prabhu?"

Vishnu remained silent for a moment before slowly sitting up against Adishesha’s coils.

"Devara is preparing to leave his kingdom."

Lakshmi looked at him curiously.

"Is something wrong? Has something happened in Trivenivrata?"

"Nothing of that sort, Devi. Our son has finally decided to fulfil the promise he made to Alakshmi. He is preparing to travel to the Egyptian divine territories to retrieve the Forty-Two Stars Bracelet."

Lakshmi’s expression softened.

"So he has not forgotten his promise."

"Devara rarely forgets a promise once he gives his word."

Vishnu smiled faintly, but his expression soon became more thoughtful.

"However, his journey will be somewhat different from his previous travels."

Lakshmi tilted her head.

"What do you mean, Prabhu?"

"The Egyptian pantheon is an independent divine territory. Like our own realms, it has its own cosmic boundaries, governing principles, and divine authorities. Devara may be our son, but once he crosses into that territory, he will be entering a domain governed by another pantheon."

Lakshmi considered his words.

"Surely that should not prevent us from helping him if he encounters difficulties?"

Vishnu nodded.

"Not entirely. We can still observe certain events, communicate with him through permitted means, and offer guidance when necessary. But directly interfering with matters within another pantheon’s territory is considerably more complicated."

He raised one hand, and a miniature representation of the cosmic structure appeared before them.

Several luminous realms floated within the vast expanse, each surrounded by its own distinct boundary.

"Every divine territory has its own jurisdiction. These boundaries are not merely barriers separating one realm from another."

"They maintain the balance between the different cosmic authorities. If we were to extend our influence too deeply into another pantheon’s domain, especially through a direct manifestation of our power, it could cause a serious disturbance."

Lakshmi studied the miniature realms.

"And if such a disturbance occurs?"

"It could weaken the boundaries separating the territories. In the worst circumstances, it might trigger a major conflict between pantheons, or cause instability that extends beyond the realms involved."

Lakshmi’s expression became serious.

"So we cannot simply appear before him and assist him if something goes wrong."

"Precisely."
