Nathan Fawcett chuckled at the unexpected kiss.

He looked at her, the corners of his mouth lifting. "What was that for?"

"Didn’t you tell me to love you a little more each day?"

Anne Sutton looked at the man and broke into a smile.

Hearing her words, Nathan Fawcett turned the tables and captured her lips in a kiss.

The two of them fooled around in bed for a while before finally getting up.

After washing up and getting ready, Anne Sutton looked at the man still in bed and said, "Aren’t you getting up? Ian and Finn have already gone downstairs to play."

The two little ones were playing badminton in the garden.

The butler was with them.

The two little guys weren’t even as tall as the badminton rackets.

Hearing her, Nathan Fawcett said, "Why worry about them?"

Anne Sutton laughed. "Or maybe we should let them come see you like this."

"..." Nathan Fawcett sat up. Anne Sutton tossed him his clothes. "Hurry up and get changed."

He climbed out of bed, still in his pajamas. The muscles beneath were quite defined.

Anne Sutton asked, "Have you been working out lately?"

Nathan Fawcett nodded. "Yeah."

He had been exercising consistently ever since his health improved.

Anne Sutton said, "You need to take care of yourself."

Hearing her words, Nathan Fawcett looked at her. "What, worried about me?"

"I don’t want a repeat of what happened last time. And you shouldn’t go out drinking anymore."

’He went out for a few drinks and ended up coughing up blood.’

The mere thought of it made Anne Sutton incredibly worried.

She didn’t know why, but his health had never been that great in the past.

...

’It was strange. I used to think I didn’t want to marry him, but now... the mere thought of something happening to him made me suddenly worry that he wouldn’t be by my side forever.’

Anne Sutton finished getting ready and went downstairs first to check on the two children.

She had already spoken with Sharon Sutton, who had agreed to go out for a bit. Mrs. Sutton had also suggested she get out of the house.

The place they were going was in the suburbs.

There was an amusement park nearby.

And a manor.

Nathan Fawcett took the two children to play at the amusement park.

Anne Sutton and Sharon Sutton were there too.

Sharon Sutton walked beside Anne Sutton. Looking at her quiet, reserved sister, Anne said, "Why so quiet? Want to try some of the fun rides? I’ll go with you. Didn’t you used to love roller coasters?"

Hearing Anne’s words, Sharon Sutton shook her head. "No, thanks. I’m an adult now, not a kid. I’m not interested in these childish things."

Anne Sutton was taken aback for a moment. "Then what are you interested in now?"

Sharon Sutton said, "I don’t know either."

Anne Sutton looked at her sister, raised her hand, and patted her on the shoulder.

Nathan Fawcett had already taken the two kids to the front of a ride meant specifically for young children.

Finn and Ian looked like twins.

On top of that, they were both very good-looking, and with Nathan Fawcett watching over them, it didn’t take long for them to attract the attention of passersby. People were taking pictures of Ian and Finn.

Seeing these people, Nathan Fawcett’s face instantly darkened. "What are you taking pictures of?"

"..." He roared, and the people scurried away in fright.

Seeing this, Anne Sutton quickly walked over to his side and asked, "What’s wrong?"

The other people who saw Nathan Fawcett gave him strange looks.

The man was handsome, but also incredibly fierce.

Anne Sutton had to apologize to everyone. "Sorry, my husband doesn’t like having his picture taken. My apologies."

Hearing Anne Sutton’s words, the crowd slowly dispersed.

Once they were gone, Anne Sutton’s gaze fell on Nathan Fawcett. Seeing his cold expression, she said, "What was that about?"

Nathan Fawcett said, "Those people have no manners."

Anne Sutton knew that Nathan Fawcett didn’t usually frequent places like this.

He wasn’t used to such bustling places.

And since he was with the children today, it was only natural that he didn’t want them being photographed.

Seeing how the man showed no regard for others’ feelings, Anne Sutton took a face mask out of her bag and put it on his face. "There, is that better?"

Nathan Fawcett asked, "Why’d you bring a mask?"

"Habit," Anne Sutton said, looking at him. "This way, no one will stare at you."

’It also makes you feel more secure when facing cameras.’

She knew he wasn’t the type to enjoy noisy places.

Nathan Fawcett went off to play with the two children.

Anne Sutton stayed with Sharon Sutton, taking pictures of them from the sidelines.

Sharon Sutton said, "Sis, I’m so jealous of you."

"Jealous of what?" Anne Sutton glanced at her.

Sharon Sutton said, "Having two such adorable children."

’She remembered how Anne had married Nathan Fawcett in her place. If Anne hadn’t done that, if she had been the one to marry Nathan, then she never would have gotten involved with David Hayes. She wouldn’t have ended up in such a miserable state.’

Sharon Sutton stared at Anne Sutton. Even though Anne was a few years older, her sister looked radiant and glamorous. Then she looked at herself...

’I’m not even that old!’

’But why do I feel like I’ve aged so much all of a sudden?’

Anne Sutton glanced at the things in her hand and said to Sharon Sutton, "Wait here for me for a bit, I’m going to the restroom. When they get off the ride, just let them know."

Sharon Sutton nodded.

Anne Sutton handed her all her things and went to find the restroom.

Nathan Fawcett came down with the two children, saw Sharon Sutton standing there, and asked, "Where’s your sister?"

"My sister went to the restroom." Sharon Sutton looked at Nathan Fawcett and said, "Brother-in-law, are you thirsty? Do you want some water?"

Nathan Fawcett glanced at her, then at the two little ones, and went with her to buy water.

There was a vending machine for water right next to them.

Sharon Sutton was trying to operate it. Nathan Fawcett watched her fumble with it, unable to get it to work after a while. He asked, "Need help?"

Sharon Sutton nodded.

Nathan Fawcett stepped up to the machine.

To be honest, this was his first time using one of these things.

But thankfully, he was smart and figured it out quickly.

He gave a bottle of water to Ian, one to Finn, and another to Sharon Sutton.

Nathan Fawcett didn’t forget to buy a bottle for Anne Sutton as well.

Since she wasn’t there, Nathan Fawcett picked out a drink for her.

Nathan Fawcett had just twisted the cap off his bottle and taken a sip when Sharon Sutton looked at him and asked, "Brother-in-law, is that one good?"

Nathan Fawcett glanced at her. "What?"

Sharon Sutton moved closer. "Let me have a taste."

As she spoke, she leaned in and, right from his hand, drank from the same bottle Nathan Fawcett had just drunk from.

Nathan Fawcett: "..."

He was stunned by her action for a second, then shoved her away.

He used too much force, and Sharon Sutton fell right to the ground.

"What are you doing?" Nathan Fawcett stared at the woman. ’Is she crazy?’

’Why is she drinking my water? It’s not like the machine is out of this kind—she can buy her own!’

He hated people with no sense of personal boundaries.

Nathan Fawcett’s action made both Ian and Finn look over.

Seeing Sharon Sutton on the ground, Ian quickly ran over and helped her up. "Aunt Sharon, are you okay?"
