Chapter 787: Solving the Hundred Poisons Body

The Immortal Dao Points were for the Ring Spirit, and Universal Points were for helping the people of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races improve their strength. Only the Merit Points were directly related to him.

And by extension, they also involved the Ring Spirit.

That was why he had to take Merit Points much more seriously.

After a moment of contemplation, the Ring Spirit replied, “Aren’t you going to consider adding more ways for them to spend Merit Points?”

The Ring Spirit had a good understanding of Cheng Zongyang’s various “leek-harvesting” schemes, which was why it asked.

Cheng Zongyang retorted, “Do you have any ideas?”

The Ring Spirit said, “You’re the one with all the ideas for this sort of thing. I don’t have any.”

Cheng Zongyang decided to take that as a compliment. After a moment of thought, he said,

“Then let’s expand the ways they can be used. Individuals with at least 10,000 positive points and no more than 200 negative points can apply to become an Immortal Official and enjoy all the associated benefits. We won’t add anything else for now. After all, with Immortal Dao Points already in place, there’s no need to add more options here.”

“Understood,” the Ring Spirit agreed.

Next, the Ring Spirit began formulating and updating the new rules for Merit Points.

As usual, although Cheng Zongyang valued Merit Points, he had no interest in seeing how the people of the Immortal Realm would react. He still needed to continue refining the rules for Reincarnation and the Creation Space.

‘Now that the function of Reincarnation exists, I need to establish a proper system for it. I can’t just do it haphazardly. If I don’t earn any Points and end up taking a loss, it’ll be a total disgrace.’

Over the next few days, Cheng Zongyang adapted and modified some of the systems from the Underworld of his previous life.

Just as he had borrowed many positions from the Celestial Court of his past life for the Immortal Realm’s system of Immortal Officials, he did the same here.

This time, however, he didn’t have Luo Dingran and the others formulate the rules.

For now, access to the Reincarnation Space was limited to a select few. This rule would not be changed until the Spiritual Qi and Spirit Veins of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races were fully restored.

Even when the rule was modified in the future, it wouldn’t be a complete overhaul. Instead, the changes would be targeted. For instance, those who died during their tribulations would be absorbed by the Realm of Ten Thousand Races. People whose evil deeds surpassed a certain threshold would also be absorbed upon death, denied even the chance to be cast into the Beast Dao.

「Five days later.」

The basic rules for Reincarnation were complete.

As for the rules of creation, he had the Ring Spirit add this Ability to the grand ceremony held once every three years. It was established as the “Wish Platform,” which also served as a special outlet for spending points.

——A minimum of 1,000 Universal Points, 5,000 Immortal Dao Points, and 10,000 Merit Points.

As long as one met this “three-point requirement,” they could make a wish at the Wish Platform to create any reasonable item they needed.

This included resurrecting the dead, creating a new body for a Divine Soul, creating precious Spirit Medicines, or even opening up a personal pocket world.

As long as the requirements were met, anything was possible. However, the Merit Point cost would increase accordingly.

However, the general rule for using the Creation Space was that the cost of creation would be deducted first. The remainder was what Cheng Zongyang and the Ring Spirit would get to keep.

Therefore, Cheng Zongyang and the Ring Spirit discussed its feasibility and the associated costs.

After all, both parties had a stake in this, with the Ring Spirit taking the larger share. Thus, Cheng Zongyang set the costs for these acts of creation at the absolute limit of what the Ring Spirit’s own rules would allow.

‘When fighting for your own interests, no method is too extreme.’

With all these rules completed, the Realm of Ten Thousand Races was now run by the Ring Spirit, supervised by the celestial laws, and administered by the Immortal Officials.

In essence, the entire framework was complete.

The Immortal Officials would handle the rest. They would also gradually discuss and submit proposals for new regulations, which would ultimately be given to the Ring Spirit for modification and implementation.

It was safe to say he no longer needed to worry much about the operations of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races.

This was equivalent to the Immortal Officials managing the entire Realm of Ten Thousand Races and the Immortal Realm. Administrative authority rested with the Cabinet, while enforcement power lay with the celestial laws.

Everything was fair and just.

‘There shouldn’t be anything else left to do.’ Dismissing the map of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, Cheng Zongyang turned and went to the Creation Space on the ninth level.

“Ring Spirit, is the new body ready yet?” Cheng Zongyang asked.

“Just a few final modifications left. Are you sure you only want to change the Physique and leave everything else as is?” the Ring Spirit replied.

“That’s right. The original version is fine. No need to change anything else,” Cheng Zongyang said with a slight nod.

He was having the Ring Spirit create a new body for his cousin, Cheng Zongyan. It was being rapidly constructed using a blood sample she had left behind. He had even used a Spiritual Ability video to record her current physical data to ensure the new body would be a perfect replica.

The goal, of course, was to fix the side effects and control issues associated with her Hundred Poisons Body.

Once he transferred his cousin’s Divine Soul into this new body, she would be able to control her Hundred Poisons Body at will.

While waiting for the Ring Spirit to apply the finishing touches, Cheng Zongyang left the Hall of Ten Thousand Races and went to the Ninefold Immortal Palace, finding his cousin in the intelligence department.

She now had several assistants who shared her fascination with poisons, and even had her own small sub-department. Specializing in researching poisons, much to Cheng Zongyang’s exasperation.

The Immortal Officials had no use for such things, though perhaps the dark web would. Still, since his cousin enjoyed it, Cheng Zongliang had arranged a place for her to focus on her research.

“Big Brother.”

Cheng Zongliang, who was in the middle of his work, was overjoyed to see his elusive older brother appear.

Cheng Zongyang smiled, stepping forward to give him a hug. “How have you been?”

‘This little brother of mine is almost as tall as I am now,’ he thought. ‘He’s not the same little kid as before, and neither is our sister.’

“Have a seat!” Cheng Zongliang said happily. “Everything’s going pretty well. The operation has just gotten bigger, so there’s a lot more to do. But it’s nothing compared to what you’re dealing with, Big Brother.”
