Chapter 805: Chapter 400: 1st Life of Reincarnation Dao Comprehension: The Demon Race Will Never Be Slaves
In the blink of an eye, ten years had passed.
In the Hall of Ten Thousand Races.
With the Ring Spirit’s help over the years, Cheng Zongyang’s true body had fully restored its Divine Soul. It was even somewhat stronger than before.
"How is the Clone doing?" Cheng Zongyang sat up and asked.
By now, he and the Clone had become two distinct, independent individuals. As long as Cheng Zongyang did not initiate a Divine Soul fusion, they would continue to develop on their own paths.
"He’s been at the Cheng Family Manor for the past ten years. There probably hasn’t been much progress, but he’s acting more and more like an ordinary person," the Ring Spirit replied.
Cheng Zongyang gave a slight nod. He had no intention of interfering with the Clone. The Clone was walking the Heaven and Earth Great Dao, a completely different path from his own or the Ring Spirit’s.
The three of them advancing on parallel paths was simply to secure an additional chance of success.
Not putting all his eggs in one basket had always been his way of doing things.
"Not bad." Cheng Zongyang sensed his Cultivation; he was already nearing the Nascent Soul Middle Stage.
To be able to slowly accumulate enough power to reach the Nascent Soul Middle Stage just by lying dormant for ten years—it was a true testament to the formidable power of the Five Elements Body.
"Then I’ll continue my closed-door cultivation." Cheng Zongyang didn’t intend to manage affairs in the Immortal Realm or the Immortal City.
Thus, having only just awakened, Cheng Zongyang entered closed-door cultivation once more.
After so many years of hard work, a solid foundation had been established to support him. It was finally time to reap the rewards.
At the Cheng Family Manor.
Cheng Zongyang’s Clone smiled as he looked at the elders and younger generation gathered at the gates to see him off.
"I’m merely going out for a walk to experience the magnificent rivers and mountains. It’s not like I’m never coming back."
"We know," Mother Cheng said with concern. "We just want you to be careful out there."
Father Cheng placed a hand on his son’s shoulder and smiled. "We understand. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. The status and scale we have today are truly blessed by the heavens, but more importantly, they are the result of your single-handed efforts. The younger generation will make their own fortunes; you don’t need to plan everything out for them. When the time is right, you need to get plenty of rest."
"I understand," Cheng Zongyang nodded.
He then looked at the younger generation present.
Having stayed at home for ten years, he had practically become a true mortal. Aside from possessing a Golden Core Level Physique, he was no different from an ordinary person.
Over the past decade, Mother Cheng had essentially stopped bringing up marriage. They had all realized that their son was hiding something from them.
Consequently, they chose not to add to his burden.
During these ten years, the fastest among the third-generation descendants had already entered the Immortal City and Immortal Realm to temper themselves. Even the slower ones would head out to gain experience in a few years’ time.
In fact, by the time the youngest member left the Cheng Family Manor, the oldest, Zhou Xingzu, would likely be getting married.
"Improve yourselves well. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught you everything I can. It will be up to you to instruct the fourth and fifth generations. The elders cannot worry about every little thing."
"Yes, Uncle!" the younger generation shouted in unison.
Cheng Zongyang gave a slight nod, then departed for the other side of Chaotian Mountain, with the Soul following closely beside him.
This time, he planned to personally experience the local customs of different regions, the wondrous charm of natural landscapes, the majestic momentum of the mountains and earth, and the profound philosophy hidden within the world.
There was no need for him to explore the Realm of Ten Thousand Races; after all, it was a world dominated by the Ring Spirit.
It was filled with rules established by the Ring Spirit, and its environment was completely at odds with his current pursuit.
Only the Martial Arts Realm remained beyond the absolute control of both him and the Ring Spirit.
Even so, the Ring Spirit’s influence in this world was steadily rising.
Although it couldn’t fundamentally rewrite the inherent rules of the world, it could, much like a god, gradually gain a comprehensive understanding and effortless mastery over the cycle of life and death of all living beings in the Martial Arts Realm, as well as the myriad changes of everything in the world.
Naturally, Cheng Zongyang also possessed the Ability to have the Ring Spirit assist him.
Descending the mountain this time, he had no set direction. He followed his heart, wandering aimlessly, resting wherever his steps happened to stop.
However, he already had a meticulous plan in mind for how to travel through this world.
Natural Daoist Skill was such that its methods were formless.
Between heaven and earth, humans, gods, ghosts, Demons, devils, Spirit Monsters, ghouls, mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas... everything in the world was but one of the myriad evolutions of the Dao.
He would not limit himself to the singular perspective of a "human." Instead, he would use various forms—a "Demon," a "beast," a "Spirit," a "Monster," a "mountain," a "river," or a "ghost"—to deeply comprehend the diverse lives in this world. This would allow him to gain profound insights from different dimensions and directions.
He had already planned this out with his true body and the Ring Spirit.
Cheng Zongyang and the Soul traveled leisurely. Three days later, they finally reached the other side of Tianduan Mountain, an area belonging to Da Liang Beiding Prefecture.
This was a mountain plateau where he often meditated and contemplated the world.
The terrain here was highly elevated, offering an extremely broad field of vision. Standing upon it, one felt as if they could take in the entirety of the world at a single glance.
Gazing into the distance, the rolling mountain peaks faded in and out of sight amidst the swirling mist, looking exactly like a slumbering giant dragon winding its way across the earth.
Illuminated by the morning light, the silhouettes of the peaks were traced with golden lines that shifted between light and dark as the sun’s rays changed, rendering the scene as ethereal as a dream.
At the foot of the mountain, a river surged ceaselessly. The water galloped forward with torrential force like a runaway wild horse. Refracting the sunlight, the splashing waves gleamed with crystalline brilliance, as if countless shattered diamonds had been scattered across the surface.
On the river, a few sailboats occasionally glided past. Their white sails swayed gently in the breeze, adding a touch of liveliness and poetry to this magnificent landscape painting.
