Martial Dao: Peace by Force
Chapter 353: Advancement! Secret Rendezvous
Chapter 353 -193: Advancement! Secret Rendezvous
HISS!!!
‘This upgrades the whip leg from a linear, hit-and-run attack to a continuous, cyclical one…’
‘The Divine Martial Twelve-Ring Leg is similar in principle. That means I only need to practice one of these two Leg Techniques from now on…’
Wan Ze took a deep breath.
…
[Illustrated Guide: Divine Martial Twelve-Ring Leg] (Special Level Mastered)
[Skill Ultimate Satisfaction Conditions: Perform this Leg Technique 100,000 times and condense Leg Momentum] (50,000/100,000)
…
‘Perfect. I can use the Reverse Spin Force to complete two tasks… Fifty thousand reps for a Special Level and an Ultimate level. No matter how I look at it, this is a huge win!’
…
Wan Ze glanced at his personal attribute panel.
…
[Physical Strength: 3.02]
[Intelligence: 2.82]
[Agility: 2.89]
[Endurance: 2.9]
[Power: 3.07]
[Coordination: 2.86]
…
After Power was the first to break the 3-point mark, Physical Strength had now broken through 3 points as well.
The significance of this was extraordinary.
Previously, with his Physical Strength in the 2-point range, he would feel noticeably exhausted after a high-intensity battle and need to rest to recover.
But after breaking 3 points, his body’s recovery ability would reach a new level. His fatigue resistance and even his tolerance for pain would undergo a qualitative leap.
The qualitative change after his Power broke 3 points had been obvious, and now, with his Physical Strength breaking 3, Wan Ze felt as if he had an inexhaustible supply of energy.
And this… brought him one step closer to the Beginner Level requirements for the “Void Spirit-Slaying Sword.”
That Swordsmanship had extremely high Attribute requirements, needing a value of 3.5 or higher to even begin Cultivation.
His Power and Physical Strength had now both surpassed 3. The rest was just a matter of time.
The training hall grew quiet, leaving only the faint hum of the fluorescent lights.
Wan Ze stood under the lights, drenched in sweat.
His training uniform was completely soaked, clinging to his body and outlining every muscle on his upper torso.
Fresh from his Cultivation, his muscles were relaxed and stretched, making Wan Ze’s shoulders look broad. Yet his frame wasn’t bulky, and his muscles lacked the exaggerated size of a bodybuilder’s. Instead, every fiber seemed like a taut steel cable, clearly visible beneath his skin.
The outlines of his pectoral muscles were distinct, the sections just below his collarbones rising and falling slightly with each breath.
When his arms hung naturally at his sides, the lines of his biceps and triceps extended from his shoulders all the way to his elbows.
The muscles of his forearms were denser, arranged in distinct rows—a result of long-term fist clenching and striking hard objects. The flexor muscles in every finger had been thoroughly exercised.
Wan Ze stretched his muscles and joints.
He started by rolling his neck, his cervical vertebrae making soft CRACKING sounds, then shrugged his shoulders.
After finishing the sequence, he felt as if every joint in his body had been re-lubricated, moving much more smoothly.
This was the change brought about by his Physical Strength breaking 3 points.
It wasn’t as simple as just having endless energy.
While that inexhaustible vigor certainly felt great, what Wan Ze cared about more was the increase in his body’s recovery speed.
Before, after two or three thousand whip kicks, his legs would be sore and swollen for a good while, requiring at least two hours of rest to recover.
But now, after a full five thousand kicks, he could stand there and stretch for just a few minutes, and the soreness in his legs would already be mostly gone. It was as if the lactic acid in his muscles was being rapidly flushed away by something.
The sensation was bizarre.
It was like there was an invisible engine inside him, silently providing power when he wasn’t paying attention.
The more he moved, the faster it ran. The more he expended, the more intensely it replenished him.
This long, steady support gave Wan Ze the feeling… that he could probably train for another three hours without collapsing.
He clenched his fist, feeling the power contained within it.
Wan Ze raised his fist to eye level, looking at his thick knuckles and the bulging veins on the back of his hand, silently mapping out his future Cultivation plan.
‘He had already mastered the High Level of the Mountain-Splitting Whip Leg. Next was to rack up enough repetitions to break through to the Special Level.’
‘At the same time, he couldn’t neglect the Ten Thousand Waves Secret Martial Arts.’
‘He was still a few thousand repetitions short for that Stacking Force technique. Practicing it interspersed with the Mountain-Splitting Whip Leg would be more efficient.’
He formed a rough plan in his mind.
‘If I schedule it like this, I’ll have another qualitative breakthrough in All Attributes within a month!’
Just then, the communicator on the table began to ring.
Wan Ze walked over, picked it up, and glanced at the caller ID. It was an unsaved number.
He answered, his voice calm. “Hello.”
Zhao Henian’s voice came from the other end. The background was quiet, suggesting he was indoors. “Is this a good time?”
“It is.”
“I’m having Dong Hui pick you up. When you arrive, just go with him. I’ve taken care of the name situation. You’ll be Mr. Wang. Don’t say anything more than necessary.”
A black-market Antique Dealer personally arranged by Zhao Henian. Dong Hui would be the middleman for viewing the old artifact.
“Give me five minutes,” Wan Ze said.
Hanging up, he shoved the communicator into his pocket and strode out of the training hall.
He took a quick shower and changed into dry clothes.
He pulled a black face mask from a locker. Then he reached up and took a baseball cap from a hook on the back of the door. The cap was dark gray with a slightly curved brim that, when worn, could be pulled down to hide most of his face.
He held the mask and cap in his hand and left quickly.
Outside the martial arts hall’s main gate, a night breeze blew against his face.
The street where the hall was located was quiet at night. Most of the roadside shops were already closed, with only a few convenience stores and barbecue stands still lit.
Wan Ze didn’t take the main road, instead turning into a small alley.
The alley was even darker. A few articles of clothing, hung out to dry by some unknown person, dangled from the overhead electrical wires, swaying gently in the night breeze.
