Chapter 6713: Revealing Strength

A storm was brewing in Jie Tianran’s head. His first thought was that Baili Xukong was lying.

Even if he overlooked the grudge between Chu Feng and the Netherworld Sect, there was also the fact that Chu Feng was from the weak Ancestral Martial Galaxy’s Chu Heavenly Clan. There was absolutely no connection between that and the Netherworld Sect.

How could Chu Feng be the Netherworld Sect’s young master?

But when he sensed the killing intent overflowing from the Netherworld Sectmembers and saw the hateful glares from them as if he had killed their fathers, he instinctively knew that it was the truth.

He might have schemed against the Netherworld Sect, but that shouldn’t warrant such overwhelming enmity. On top of that, it was an unwise decision for the Netherworld Sect to confront him right now, especially when they thought that he had grasped God’s Era’s power.

Anyone with a sound mind would have fled right away. There was no reason for the Netherworld Sect to be waiting around for him.

The only conclusion that made sense here was that Chu Feng was truly the Netherworld Sect’s young master.

“Have you been acting all this while to fool me?” Jie Tianran asked.

Before anyone could answer his question, he snickered.

“Hah... It doesn’t matter.”

A black aura gushed out from Jie Tianran. It was not coming from his body but his robe, his wrists, his waist, and his accessories. He had concealed treasures in those places. Ironically, he looked aligned with the Netherworld Sect more than ever.

His righteous facade had completely vanished.

“Your grandfather’s world spiritist treasures appear different from those from the Celestial Master Sacred Sect.” Eggy was confused.

They had already learned that Jie Tianran had plundered all the Celestial Master Sacred Sect’s world spiritist treasures and distributed them to the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s elders.

Naturally, it made sense that Jie Tianran would take some of them as well.

But somehow, Jie Tianran’s treasures looked different.

“Those aren’t the Celestial Master Sacred Sect’s treasures. Jie Tianran must have crafted them himself,” Chu Feng replied.

Boom!

The Netherworld Sect’s formation spewed another breath of blood-red aura.

This time, Jie Tianran was guarded against it. Even though he was extremely close to the formation, he activated a speed enhancement formation and disappeared. When he finally reappeared, he was already in the sky.

“Chu Feng is hiding inside that formation, right? It doesn’t matter what your relationship with him is. It also doesn’t matter what kind of tricks you are pulling. You are all going to die anyway.”

Jie Tianran reached into his Cosmos Sack and pulled out a black saber that emitted bloodthirst. With his saber in hand, his fighting prowess rose to a higher level.

In terms of auras, Jie Tianran didn’t pale in comparison to the Netherworld Sect’s formation.

“That grandfather of yours is quite the difficult figure to deal with.” Eggy frowned.

In hindsight, they had never seen Jie Tianran going all out before. This was the first time he was revealing his true strength.

The Netherworld Sect was stronger than ever. Their members were united, and they had just been buffed by the sacred item.

Yet, Jie Tianran rivaled them alone. This showed just how terrifyingly powerful he was. He lived up to his reputation as the strongest expert in the world of cultivation.

Meanwhile, Baili Xukong looked at Jie Tianran’s black saber with a look of regret.

“The Demonslayer Saber.”

The Demonslayer Saber was an unparalleled world spiritist treasure that greatly enhanced a world spiritist’s fighting prowess. Baili Xukong had given it to Jie Tianran as a token of sincerity to secure his cooperation back then. He didn’t expect it to be used against them now.

“Someone will indeed die today, Jie Tianran, but it won’t be our Netherworld Sect or our young master,” Baili Xukong sneered.

The chilling wails filled the air as countless blood skeletons charged out from the formation like a massive army rushing at Jie Tianran.

“Hmph.” Jie Tianran harrumphed.

He formed a hand seal, and a powerful wave of spirit power rippled outward.

But the blood skeletons possessed a unique power that blocked Jie Tianran’s formation, so the spirit power was neutralized with ease.

Jie Tianran didn’t panic.

He waited for the blood skeletons to arrive before calmly brandishing the Demonslayer Saber. While the blood skeletons were impervious to his spirit power, the Demonslayer Saber sliced through them with ease.

He gracefully cut down any blood skeleton that approached him. His movements resembled a powerful cultivator more than a world spiritist. Who could have expected Jie Tianran to be so skilled in close-quarter combat as well?

But Jie Tianran didn’t just passively defend himself from the blood skeletons.

He pulled out a copper mirror and floated it around him. The copper mirror unleashed an intense light beam into the Netherworld Sect’s formation. It was searching for Chu Feng’s whereabouts.

Unfortunately, the mirror’s intense light was not enough to reveal Chu Feng.

Jie Tianran remained unfazed. He took out a talisman paper and fused it into the copper mirror.

The copper mirror’s light beam receded. Several runes appeared and began to revolve around the mirror.

Baili Xukong and the others could tell that the copper mirror was gathering energy to unleash an even stronger means.

“What is Jie Tianran planning? Why is he so determined to find you? Even if he finds you, it is meaningless if he fails to breach the Netherworld Sect’s formation?” Eggy was confused by Jie Tianran’s actions.

“That copper mirror isn’t an observation treasure but an offensive treasure. He was putting on an act to make the Netherworld Sectmembers underestimate the copper mirror’s prowess. The next light beam from the copper mirror will be a devastating attack,” Chu Feng explained.

He also relayed the same message to the Netherworld Sectmembers’ upper echelons before instructing them to feign offense for the time being to preserve the formation’s energy.

Half of the energy would be used to deal with Jie Tianran’s incoming attack, whereas the other half would be used to attack God’s Era’s pedestal.

Chu Feng could tell that the formation shrouding God’s Era’s pedestal was important to Jie Tianran. Even if their attack failed to destroy the formation, it would at least distract Jie Tianran.

After issuing his instructions, Chu Feng suddenly sighed.

“What’s wrong? Haven’t you already planned everything out?” Eggy asked.

“Even though I was the one who provided the blueprint for this formation, in truth, I haven’t completely grasped it, either. It’s still up to Baili Xukong and the others to control it. That greatly limits my observation prowess,” Chu Feng replied with a sigh.

As much as the Netherworld Sect had yet to go all out against Jie Tianran, the latter was clearly not cornered yet. He definitely had more tricks up his sleeve.
