Marvel: I Made the SCP Foundation Real
Chapter 62 Division Agents—Forever Loyal!
Somewhere in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan.
A fallen Strategic Homeland Division safe house.
“My patience is limited! How many reinforcements do you have? “Tell me everything about the Administration’s deployments!”!”
The faint scent of blood filled Agent Catherine’s nostrils as she struggled to open her eyes.
The first person she saw was her companion, the agent codenamed Sea Otter.
The petite Chinese girl had once been sweet and cheerful, wearing her hair in twin ponytails and revealing two dimples whenever she smiled.
Now, her beautiful face was swollen and bruised. Her clothing was torn, and blood covered her body.
Someone held Sea Otter upright by her hair.
She was so weak that she could barely speak, yet her eyes remained as resolute as flames.
“Don’t expect to get any intelligence from me!”
“You’re Chinese, aren’t you? Your country has an old saying: a wise person submits to circumstances.”
“I don’t want such a delicate young woman to suffer unnecessarily, so you would be better off telling me everything.”
His awkward speech carried a distinct Japanese inflection.
The damned interrogator was actually of Japanese descent.
Old grudges combined with new hatred.
Agent Sea Otter glared fiercely at him and refused without hesitation.
“Never!”
“Yosh! I admire stubborn people. Let’s see just how stubborn you really are!”
The interrogator pulled out a dagger and raised Sea Otter’s pale, badly injured right hand.
“If you refuse to answer, I’ll cut off your fingers one by one! You had better think carefully!”
The girl responded with a contemptuous smile.
“Very well! You’ve made me angry!”
The dagger descended.
Sea Otter screamed as a bloody finger fell to the floor.
Catherine watched her companion endure the inhuman torture, her eyes burning with fury.
Yet with her mouth gagged, she could do nothing.
She could only listen to those agonized screams.
They continued for nearly half an hour.
The interrogator tried everything.
Yet the seemingly innocent, petite agent proved impossibly unyielding. Even after every finger on both hands had been severed one by one, she refused to reveal anything.
Although he was the one conducting the interrogation, fear gradually crept into his heart.
Even agents from the FBI, KGB, or CIA would have confessed by now.
He hauled the weakened Sea Otter upright and stared viciously at the female agent whose voice had already become hoarse.
“One last chance.”
“I don’t know!”
Sea Otter spat a mouthful of blood into his face.
The interrogator’s expression remained cold.
He wiped the blood away, licked it from his finger, and revealed a cruel grin.
The blood-covered dagger pressed against her pale neck.
With one swift movement, he drew it across her throat.
Two strangled gasps escaped Sea Otter’s lips.
Her eyes widened before their light gradually faded.
She would remain twenty years old forever.
Catherine stared in horrified fury as Sea Otter collapsed into a pool of blood.
With the dead agent’s blood still covering his face, the interrogator approached Catherine with a savage expression.
Her breathing became heavy.
He pulled the cloth from Catherine’s mouth.
“Your turn. Give me the intelligence, and you can live.”
Catherine felt her heartbeat accelerating.
She remained silent, glaring at him with cold fury.
“Damn it! Why are all of you like this?”
“What the fuck are you staring at, bitch?”
The interrogator finally lost control.
He grabbed Catherine by the head and drove the icy dagger into one of her beautiful eyes.
Her shrill scream echoed throughout the room like the cry of a dying nightingale.
He kicked Catherine aside, drew a handgun from its holster, and placed his finger on the trigger.
The cruel interrogator failed to notice that the room had become unnaturally quiet.
All his companions had already disappeared.
A slender hand pressed his gun arm downward.
A gentle, languid female voice sounded beside him.
“I knew there was a chance you might still be alive.”
The interrogator tried to raise his arm.
To his horror, it wouldn’t move.
The slender hand tightened around him.
He heard his bones beginning to crack.
A woman stared at him with ruby-red eyes. A seemingly gentle yet deeply unsettling smile rested on her face.
The interrogator tried to scream.
Before he could make a sound, his body began melting into a pool of blood.
A short-haired blonde girl approached Catherine with one hand covering her mouth, her face filled with discomfort.
She swallowed nervously.
“Are… are you all right?”
Elivise brought over some bandages and helped Catherine sit up before pressing them against her bleeding, ruined eye.
She then asked bluntly, her voice indifferent, “Catherine, I’ve lost part of my memory.”
“I brought the item here. Now tell me exactly what happened.”
Unable to tolerate her attitude, the kindhearted Gwen grabbed Elivise by the collar.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Look at her!”
“She needs medical treatment. This is no time to interrogate her!”
Elivise coldly pushed Gwen’s hand away.
“We don’t have time to waste.”
As the two confronted each other, Catherine’s weak voice reached them.
“She’s right. We don’t have… any time to waste.”
“I’m an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division. I was ordered to contact you and obtain the Blacklight virus jointly developed by Umbrella Corporation and Blackwatch.”
“According to our intelligence, Blackwatch and the Chaos Insurgency faction controlling Umbrella intend to conduct inhuman biological experiments within the United States.”
“No one knows what they’re planning.”
“The Strategic Homeland Division formed an investigative team in response. I was one of its investigators.”
“Our operation failed.”
“Someone inside the Division betrayed us. I lost contact with our extraction team, Mole, and my partner and I were captured…”
“Not long ago, I learned something terrifying.”
“Umbrella appears to be preparing a horrifying operation. The lives of hundreds of millions of people across the United States—and perhaps all of humanity—may be at stake.”
Elivise slowly exhaled.
After considering the situation for a moment, she asked quietly, “What do you intend to do?”
“If possible, escort me to Fort Redstone Military Base on Route 8 outside the city. I need to report what happened.”
“Can you still move?”
“I’ll manage.”
Catherine pressed the bandage against her face and slowly approached Sea Otter’s body.
She crouched beside the fallen agent and gently closed her eyes.
Then she removed Sea Otter’s identification tags.
Catherine’s lips trembled.
“Rest in peace, Agent Sea Otter.”
“The Strategic Homeland Division will remember your loyalty.”
