Chapter 2947. Another Dragon
Chapter 2947: 2947. Another Dragon
"And why am I being sent this?" Remy thought that she would have had some more time without being bothered, yet here she was looking at a harpy with a stack of papers sent to her. She also didn’t even know if the poor harpy who had been the messenger was given extra pay since the stack seemed heavier than normal.
Not to mention, a small package was with them!
"This was sent by Walker, Onyx, Midnight, and Alice. The note attached says that you will understand because it is about alchemy. Thank you for your time." The harpy flew away showing as if they had experienced this sort of thing more than a few times.
This left Remey to actually look at the package and wonder just why she had a bottle of perfume with her now. She barely wore anything like this while she also didn’t have any reason to use any form of perfume since it might affect her abilities when she used flames to cover her body.
Walker could have expected that since he knew that she didn’t use potions that covered her body for the same reason. She had been the one to explain to him that some potions when burned become toxic smoke. Some healing potions turned in to caustic vapors that could harm someone’s lungs!
Then she grabbed the papers and realized that he and the others had somehow managed to get in to deep conversations about the sub set of alchemy apprentices.
Not only perfume makers, but also those who produced cooking ingredients and oils. Things that could be specialized to a higher degree and even cross paths with cooking or other crafts.
She had looked in to the brewers at one point since some of them needed to use some alchemy skills to produce the beers, wines, and spirits that they produced. However, not every sub class that came with the alchemy profession was specifically related to alchemy enough to learn or affect overall alchemy.
Then again, she did find it interesting that people were beginning to utilize perfumes more often since some of them could be used to better handle certain situations in exploration.
Specifically, that walker had sent her a vial of perfume used to calm monsters from the boar family of monsters. He even left a small note that focused on the fact that they would be more valuable if they were used in areas that could be called entirely cut off from society.
There would not be easy retreat for those who would be hurt in places like that, if the perfume could be focused on then a larger more overacting version of monster calming perfume might be able to be made. It was why she was currently reading this.
To achieve the expert perfume class, the apprentice perfume that Walker had spoken with needed to create a better monster calming perfume. Therefore, she had been pulled into it and was being asked to head there and help. But even worse, the group also had already left there to worry about something else!
"Just spend the time. You have the time to use before you may venture elsewhere again. You are not needed in the alchemy guild, there are many who you have given the title of masters of the guild to. They can handle the business." Ignus’s voice grumbled while he stood up and stretched his neck.
He had been resting since he and Remey had fought for quite some time and then spent more time on other duties that they could assist one another with. Some personal and some related to their actual work.
Regardless, he knew that as a dragon he had more time than the majority of people. Meaning that he could hold off and wait for Remey to work on whatever she wished to work on. Remey was the one who had not adapted her thinking of time to match that of a dragon’s just yet.
Although the entire party had somewhat changed their perspective of time. Weeks and even months zipped by while they worked often leaving them to play a little catch up on recent events if they were not mindful. Then again that allowed them less time related stress when they considered what they needed to do for their and others growth.
"By the way, I should be venturing in to the fire elemental plane soon. I will be meeting another dragon. One called a blue flame dragon. They claim to have met another fire dragon that perished in the fire elemental plane after accidentally getting there after encountering experimental magic that the previous demon king did."
This was a massive statement and Ignus spoke of it calmly. Yet, Remey felt him. She felt his anger and pure flaming rage that could barely be held back.
The fact that the demon king knew that more power was somewhere and that he could achieve strength somehow was there. But experimenting on dragons? That didn’t sound right. But it also sounded like it might have had to do with the knowledge from the demon’s library beneath the demon king’s residence before they had actually learned anything.
It was entirely possible that somehow flames and experimental magic with extreme mana and danger could accidentally send an injured being to the elemental planes.
The dark dragons could enter the shadows and if they managed to get through the boundaries and chaotic manas they theoretically could end up in the dark elemental planes. It was just extremely unlikely since they would most likely perish on the way there or be left dying if they actually did get there.
"I understand your thoughts. I will not believe them easily and I do expect there to be many lies. From what I have learned about the blue flame dragon of the fire elemental planes, they are worse in personality than the average fire dragon. They focus just on the quicker moving hotter blue flames and they are extremely individualistic. When they need something they threaten with strength or lies so that they may get what they desire. I believe that they heard rumors and will try to take advantage. They wish to come here and claim territory."
Now Remey understood that Ignus was not fooled and could trace the knowledge that this blue flame dragon received. As a leader and royal, they tried to get to Ignus so that they could gain more territory that they most likely did not have within the fire elemental planes.
But lying to Ignus? Well, even if the blue flame dragon had strength greater than the average, Ignus could eat him and still be hungry. He had power well above many dragons within the fire elemental plane at this rate. Especially since he focused on the purity and diversity of fire. Remey had helped him with that.
"Do not cause too much trouble." It wasn’t a worried comment, it was an order. Yet, Ignus just shows a little more tooth in a grin and clicked his tongue.
To him, this was exactly what the mate of a dragon would do. They would not offer calm advice but order it to be so. Confidence and strength even to those they care for. Just like telling someone to have a nice day at work.
Then again, for work, Ignus was literally going to a different plane and potentially handling a dragon that could cause huge amounts of damage to Genesis if they were left unchecked. Yet, it was also going to set a precedent.
That even dragons from the elemental planes could not foolishly enter Genesis with wild claims. There was a process and that must be unkept. There was order and that must be followed. It must be followed because that was the way and the agreement with the true sages and elemental kings.
If someone wished to break the peace that was becoming even more stable than before, they would have to be ready to face more enemies than they could ever find themselves capable of knowing.
Besides, Ignus also had wanted to show what Genesis was capable of. While the party and Remey specifically had done so, the royal dragons had done less so.
They had gone to learn and grow from the purest manas in the elemental planes, Ventus in particular, but they had been respectful of the blossoming relationships. The dragons had yet to put their foot down and show the bottom line clearly.
This was a chance to establish that.
establish that the other races within Genesis were not to be taken lightly. That whether they were dragons born from the world or the elemental planes, they were still important and powerful.
It also would allow Ignus to step ahead of the other royal dragons again. His pride said that this was enough to appease the needs of his fellow fire dragons in bragging of achievements and many did between one another.
