Chapter 725: Chapter 275: Within the Border Lies Our Home

Xu Xingguang tilted her head, stared at the captain for a while, and then asked him, “What’s your name?”

The captain raised his eyebrows and said, “Our ancestors have lived on the Black Sea for generations. The ship beneath our feet and the Black Sea water are our home. I don’t have a name; my dad called me Cen Da. You can call me Old Cen or Captain Cen.”

Xu Xingguang said with a tone of regret, “Your Old Ancestor was named Cen Chaoyang. What a nice name, and yet, to your generation, you don’t even have a decent name?”

She regretted more than just the fact that the descendants of Cen Chaoyang had no names.

There are also too many that have been erased by history.

Xu Xingguang sat on the stool, looking at the old captain’s eyes that initially appeared muddy but were especially bright. Suddenly, she said, “Chaohui is quite a fitting name for you.”

Captain Cen raised his eyebrows, neither saying the name was good nor bad.

But once he returned to the cockpit, he immediately took a pen and wrote the three words ‘Cen Chaohui’ on a piece of paper, then stuck that paper on his water cup as a name tag.

At night, the ship crossed the Bai Ze Realm’s boundary monument, Mendun and the captain both came out to stare blankly at the monument.

Mendun said, “This stone must be very tall.”

“Fool, that’s called a boundary monument.” The captain told Mendun, “In the future, when we cross this monument, we’ll enter the Bai Ze Realm.”

“Why is it no longer called Bai Ze Island?” Mendun didn’t understand; he had lived with the captain on the little boat for more than ten years, and since he could remember, Bai Ze Island had been called Bai Ze Island.

Bai Ze Island suddenly being renamed Bai Ze Realm was something his dumb brain couldn’t comprehend.

“Do you know what ‘realm’ represents?” Xu Xingguang suddenly spoke, questioning Mendun.

Mendun shook his head in puzzlement, and the captain perked up his ears.

“Realm means boundary. Inside the boundary is home. Bai Ze Island being renamed Bai Ze Realm symbolizes that Bai Ze Realm has become home to many people. In the future, if anyone dares to trespass the boundary monument, they’re trespassing into someone’s home and will be expelled.”

She lifted her hand to pat Mendun’s broad shoulder, smiled, and said, “You’re the only ship permitted to enter the Bai Ze Realm. Do you know why?”

Mendun shook his head, but the captain’s heart beat slightly faster.

Xu Xingguang told Mendun, “Because, Bai Ze Realm has also become your home.”

She turned to the captain and said, “Find some time for both of you to go to Bai Ze Mansion and get an ID card.”

The captain’s eyes widened, holding the pipe in his trembling hand, and asked in disbelief, “Is Bai Ze Realm really willing to accept us?”

“What else?” Xu Xingguang stared at the increasingly blurry boundary monument, “Allowing you to enter Bai Ze Realm is a way of agreeing to let you join Bai Ze Realm.”

The captain wanted to laugh, but as his mouth tried to rise, his eyes were already filled with tears.

He wiped his eyes and said, struggling to hold back his emotion, “Our ancestors have drifted on the sea for over a thousand years, and suddenly we have our own home. How is it that this feels so unreal?”

The captain hurriedly lit the pipe, took a deep draw, and only then felt more grounded.

In the latter half of the night, Xu Xingguang performed acupuncture on Mendun.

After acupuncture, Mendun fell asleep on the deck chair.

This section of the sea was very safe. Captain Cen set the autopilot and came to the deck to take a break. Seeing Mendun asleep, he asked Xu Xingguang, “Is this all it takes?”

“Not so fast, at least four or five more acupuncture sessions are needed.”

Captain Cen frowned, “Then what should we do?”

“I’m Xu Xingguang. Every half month, you bring him to Central Yu Alliance’s Golden Gate City, Cattle Hump to find me. I’ll treat him for free.”

“Golden Gate City, huh.” Captain Cen looked worried, “I’ve never been inland.” He grew up on the Black Sea from birth; inland to them was like an abyss, terrifying.

Xu Xingguang laughed, “Rest assured, looking the way you do, going inland won’t get you bullied.”

Captain Cen for the first time realized that looking fierce was actually a good thing. “Alright, after I get an ID on Bai Ze Island, I’ll go to Golden Gate City to find you.”

He showed a worried expression again and asked Xu Xingguang, “To use transportation inland, you need an ID card, will Bai Ze Realm’s ID card be recognized?”

“Not yet, but you won’t have to wait long. Bai Ze Realm’s ID card should soon be recognized by other continents.” She believed Huo Wen’an would manage it.

“Then we’ll dock at the Green Blood People’s territory. I’m familiar with the people there; they can drive us to Golden Gate City.”

Upon hearing this, memories flashed in Xu Xingguang’s mind of the two Green Blood People she saw that night at Central Yu Alliance’s Beiwang Pier, “Aside from the color of their blood, their skin color, and traits like Little Ear, are there any other differences between us and Green Blood People?”
