Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 125: Mission [11]

Chapter 125: Mission [11]

Before anyone could even understand why No. 1 had shouted those words, all one hundred of Asher’s vessels vanished at the same time.

The next instant, they appeared among the tightly packed members of the Reaper Guild.

Each vessel appeared beside a different member.

No one even had the time to react.

As soon as they appeared, they disappeared once again.

The only thing left behind at each of their previous positions was a black mana sphere.

For a brief moment, nothing happened.

Then all one hundred black mana spheres began to tremble.

The next instant, they started behaving like miniature black holes.

A terrifying attractive force erupted from every sphere.

"What is this?!"

The members of the Reaper Guild desperately tried to escape.

However, the attractive force was simply too powerful.

Many of them were instantly pulled toward the nearest black mana sphere.

Some of the Masters instinctively transformed into their elemental forms, hoping to escape.

But the moment the black fog surrounding the mana spheres came into contact with their elemental bodies, their expressions changed drastically.

Their elemental forms immediately collapsed.

They were forcibly reverted back into their human forms.

One after another, they coughed up blood as cracks spread across their mana cores.

Unable to resist the overwhelming force any longer, they were dragged toward the center of the miniature black holes.

The closer they got, the stronger the attractive force became.

Their bodies twisted unnaturally.

Bones shattered.

Flesh tore apart.

In the end, they were completely crushed, leaving behind nothing but blood scattered across the ground.

No. 1 watched the horrifying scene with an ugly expression.

Without wasting another second, he raised both of his hands.

A hundred massive bolts of lightning instantly formed above him.

With a wave of his hand, all of them shot toward the black mana spheres.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Deafening explosions echoed throughout the headquarters as every lightning bolt struck its target.

One after another, the black mana spheres exploded and disappeared.

The terrifying attractive force finally came to an end.

But...

The damage had already been done.

When the black mana spheres finally disappeared, the entire headquarters fell into complete silence.

The place where the members of the Reaper Guild had been standing just moments ago had turned into a scene of complete carnage.

The ground was covered in blood.

Scattered body parts and shattered corpses lay everywhere.

Many members had been crushed to death before they even understood what had happened.

The few who had survived were in no better condition.

Some had lost an arm.

Some had lost a leg.

Others had half of their bodies torn apart.

They lay on the ground screaming in agony, completely incapable of fighting anymore.

And all of this...

...had happened within just a few short moments.

Asher looked at the scene before him.

The entire headquarters had turned into a sea of blood.

Scattered corpses and severed body parts covered the ground.

He couldn’t help but think,

’What a waste.’

’If I didn’t have to kill them instantly, they would have made good vessels.’

However, he quickly discarded those thoughts.

He then looked at the two Grandmasters and said calmly,

"Now..."

"...it’s two against a hundred."

No. 2 didn’t even look at Asher.

Instead, his gaze remained fixed on the mangled corpses of the Master-rank assassins.

He sighed in a disappointed tone.

"What a pity."

"If their mana cores hadn’t been destroyed, they would have made excellent undead."

There wasn’t the slightest hint of anger on his face despite the deaths of so many members of the Reaper Guild.

To him, they were merely materials that had been ruined.

Only then did he shift his gaze toward Asher.

His eyes were filled with curiosity.

"But what exactly is that black fog?"

"And those mana spheres containing Spatial Element..."

"They feel... ominous."

"They’re capable of damaging mana cores even while someone is in their elemental form."

"They can destroy the consciousness of living beings with frightening ease."

He glanced once more at the battlefield before continuing,

"These people were weak compared to us, but you still killed them this effortlessly."

"That black fog is a truly dangerous power."

"So..."

"Where did you obtain it?"

No. 1 looked at the blood-covered battlefield with an angry expression before turning to No. 2.

"Stop wasting time."

"We’ll find out after we kill them."

He fixed his sharp gaze on Asher.

"These people are dangerous."

"Especially that black fog."

"Don’t transform completely into your elemental form."

"Even we might not be able to withstand it."

He paused for a moment before continuing,

"As for what that black fog is..."

"...we’ll learn everything after we cut off their limbs and capture a few of them alive."

No. 2 nodded.

"Fine."

"Just don’t destroy their mana cores."

"I only need them dead."

Asher looked at the two Grandmasters.

The next instant, No. 1 disappeared from his position.

It wasn’t teleportation.

He had simply moved so fast that he vanished from Asher’s sight.

However, Asher could still sense his presence.

In an instant, No. 1 appeared in front of one of Asher’s vessels.

His entire body was encased in lightning, and a sword made entirely of lightning had formed in his hand.

The targeted vessel reacted immediately.

Before No. 1’s attack could land, the vessel coated his entire body in a thick layer of mana.

The next moment, No. 1’s lightning sword struck him.

Boom!

The vessel was sent flying like a cannonball.

He crashed into a nearby building, causing it to partially collapse.

At the same time, the other vessels instantly moved away from their positions and transformed their bodies into space.

In that form, they couldn’t be harmed by physical attacks.

However, they also couldn’t launch any attacks of their own.

No. 1 ignored the others and looked toward the vessel he had just struck.

The dust gradually settled.

Soon, the vessel came into view.

His entire left arm had been blown away by the attack.

Blood dripped from the wound, but the vessel remained standing as if he couldn’t feel any pain.

No. 1 looked at him and said calmly,

"You people are quite impressive."

"You only lost a limb."

"But next time..."

"...you’ll lose your life."
