And this wasn’t the only corpse in the area.

There were already many other dead beasts scattered around the Southern Sea. Among them were eight Grandmaster Rank beasts, along with many other beasts that had reached Master Rank.

Ravena had absorbed all of their blood.

After absorbing the blood from so many powerful beasts, Ravena’s body was now brimming with vitality. The power within her had reached a level that was completely different from before.

Some distance away from Ravena, Asher was standing in the air while holding a packet of chips in his hands.

He had been eating them throughout the entire battle. He hadn’t helped Ravena even once.

He had stood there and watched her fight while casually eating his chips.

Ravena had been fighting these beasts since yesterday, after Asher told her what she needed to do.

Now, after everything was finally complete, Ravena looked toward Asher. She didn’t say anything for a moment.

Then she finally spoke, "I am ready to break through to Immortal Rank. All the preparations are complete."

Asher calmly ate another chip before replying, "That’s good. Then what are you waiting for? Complete your evolution from a mosquito into a blood-sucking bat."

"I am breaking through to Immortal Rank, not evolving into anything.", Ravena replied in an annoyed tone.

Asher had been calling her a mosquito ever since they first met, and even after all this time, he still hadn’t stopped.

Ravena had long since gotten used to it, but that didn’t mean she had started liking it.

Asher looked at her and continued eating his chips.

"Same thing."

"It’s not the same thing!"

Asher ignored her complaint and then asked,

"So, how much time will it take for you to complete the breakthrough successfully? How much longer do I have to protect you?"

Ravena replied, her tone confident,

"It will take just three hours at best, if everything goes well and no one disturbs me."

Asher looked at her for a moment before replying in a bored tone,

"Three hours, I see. You are taking more time than I thought. I guess you’re not even that talented."

Ravena’s expression immediately turned annoyed at his words.

Asher, however, didn’t seem to care about her reaction and continued,

"Well, whatever. Start now. Don’t worry about anything else. No one will even come here to disturb you."

Ravena looked at Asher for a moment.

She wasn’t completely sure whether she could really trust his words. After all, breaking through to Immortal Rank was not something that could be taken lightly. If someone appeared while she was in the middle of the breakthrough, the consequences could be serious.

Still, Ravena knew that there was no other way.

She had already completed all the preparations, and Asher was the only person she could rely on to protect her during this process.

After taking a deep breath, Ravena finally closed her eyes.

The energy within her body began to move, and the power she had accumulated from all the beasts she had fought started circulating through her.

She slowly began breaking through to Immortal Rank.

Asher remained nearby, casually watching her.

He didn’t look worried in the slightest.

The surrounding sea remained unusually quiet, with nothing appearing in the distance.

Ravena continued focusing on her breakthrough, while Asher waited for the process to begin.

And then, more of Asher’s vessels appeared near the vessel that was already present, surrounding Ravena from different directions to protect her while she completed her breakthrough. They remained completely silent, watching the surrounding area carefully and making sure that no one approached the place while Ravena was in the middle of her breakthrough.

And then, the process finally began. Ravena’s eyes were closed, and she remained completely still. A large amount of blood slowly left her body and began levitating in the sky above her. The blood kept gathering, growing denser and denser as time passed, slowly forming something completely different.

After some time, all of the blood finally took the form of a large core. It was her Mana Core. The core was crimson, looking almost exactly like blood. It continued floating in the air, surrounded by the energy that Ravena had accumulated during her preparation, while Asher quietly watched the entire process.

And then, after many minutes had passed, something else began to happen. Ravena’s body slowly began to transform into blood. Her entire physical body gradually turned into a liquid-like form before slowly merging with the crimson core. Asher watched the process without saying anything, carefully sensing every change happening within her.

Then he felt it.

Ravena had started acting on the core. Her consciousness, her will, and her soul were all beginning to interact with the core at the same time. This was what made Immortal Rank different from Grandmaster Rank. At Grandmaster Rank, a person’s soul was still connected to their physical existence.

But at Immortal Rank, that limitation was removed. The soul, will, and core began to fuse, creating an existence no longer dependent on an ordinary physical body. Asher could easily sense the changes taking place, even though there was almost no physical change that could be seen from the outside.

The process continued. Ravena’s will slowly became infused with the core, while her soul began merging with it as well. Little by little, all three began to become one. The process was extremely slow, and there was no way to rush it. Every part of the breakthrough had to happen naturally.

The vessels of Asher remained around Ravena, silently guarding the area while the breakthrough continued. Nothing disturbed them. The sea remained quiet, and the surrounding area stayed empty. For the next several hours, the only thing that changed was the gradual fusion taking place within Ravena.

And finally...

Three hours passed.

The infusion was complete. The crimson core slowly disappeared, and there was no longer any Mana Core floating in the sky. Instead, there was only a phantom-like spirit remaining there in the sky.
