Chapter 276: Blood

Everywhere they looked, the land was black and withered. There was almost no sign of life that could be considered peaceful or natural. Numerous demons were moving through the forest, constantly fighting and trying to devour one another like the brainless beasts they were.

Their minds seemed to be completely dominated by one simple desire: to devour everything around them.

The beast looked at the scene for a moment before saying to Ravena, "Your Continent is just like its name, desolate of nature. You demons devour everything that has life in it. What a filthy species. I never understood why nature even likes to give birth to such lifeforms."

Ravena didn’t reply to his words.

The beast remained silent for a moment, continuing to look at the desolate landscape around them.

Then he finally said, "Whatever. Now leave. I also have to prepare for something."

He paused for a moment before looking back toward Ravena.

"And if I am correct, now you have to fight your siblings for some stupid position."

Ravena heard everything that Asher’s vessel said, and then she nodded before looking toward the center of the Continent.

Both of them were currently in the northern part of the Continent, a place that was completely desolate of normal life and filled mostly with low-ranking demons that acted almost entirely on their instincts.

Ravena was just about to leave the northern part and move toward the central part of the Continent, where her house was situated and where most of the demon cities were located. It was also the place where demons with more control and intelligence lived.

But before leaving, she looked at the beast that was Asher’s vessel and then asked,

"So, what are you planning to do now?"

Asher’s vessel replied casually,

"Nothing much. I’m just going to wait for some time now. You can leave."

Ravena stared at Asher’s vessel for a moment, wondering what exactly he was planning to do by staying in this desolate region.

However, she didn’t ask any further questions.

She finally turned around and started moving toward the center of the Continent.

But she didn’t leave without doing anything.

As she moved forward, Ravena activated her ability.

In an instant, all the low-ranking demons fighting below her suddenly stopped moving at the same time.

A moment later, they all exploded simultaneously.

The only thing left behind was the stained ground where they had been fighting each other moments ago.

Ravena didn’t even look back.

She continued moving toward the center of the Continent without stopping, gradually disappearing into the distance.

Asher’s vessel looked at Ravena’s fading figure for a moment. Then his gaze slowly moved toward the ground that was now stained with blood.

The beast remained silent for a few seconds before finally muttering, "Ground stained with blood... it brings back good days."

He paused for a moment, his expression remaining calm.

"Unfortunately, I can’t use it for now. Otherwise, it will make things difficult in the future."

After saying that, the beast turned his gaze away from the stained ground and remained where he was, waiting for whatever he had been preparing for.

Meanwhile...

At the Church Main Branch.

The place prepared for Cassie and her daughter had finally been completed.

It consisted of a grand mansion surrounded by a beautiful garden and carefully maintained surroundings. Everything had been arranged to provide them with a comfortable place to stay while also making sure that the entire area remained completely secure.

The mansion was located very close to the place where the Light Saint lived.

Because of that, no person would dare to approach this place unless they wished to lose their life.

All thirty Grandmaster Rank individuals were already present around the area, guarding the mansion and everything surrounding it.

There were no normal servants inside the mansion either.

The servants were also members of the thirty Grandmaster Rank individuals who had been assigned to protect Cassie and her daughter. They would take turns performing the duties of servants because they couldn’t allow anyone else to enter this place.

Cassie and her daughter, Amelia, had already been moved here.

All of their previous servants had also had their memories erased regarding Cassie and Amelia’s whereabouts. Because of this, only a small number of people knew where Cassie and her daughter were currently staying.

The entire area was also protected by a powerful barrier.

The barrier made sure that no one could easily locate the mansion, track the people inside, or discover their presence through ordinary means.

Cassie was currently inside her room.

Her expression was solemn as she sat quietly, lost in deep thought.

Ever since she had met Asher, she had been unable to stop thinking about the future and what might happen next.

The uncertainty had been weighing heavily on her mind.

She had already witnessed how dangerous Asher could be, and she knew that whatever he was planning was not something that could simply be ignored.

Now, she had been ordered to stay here with her daughter until she received further orders from the Light Saint.

That alone was enough to make her realize how serious the current situation had become.

If even the Saints were simply waiting for their enemy to make the next move because they couldn’t find him, then the situation was clearly far more complicated than she had initially thought.

And while she was having these thoughts, the door to her room suddenly opened, and then a girl entered the room; it was Cassie’s daughter, Amelia.

As Cassie noticed her, she instantly changed her expression from solemn to cheerful, as if she had been like this from the start.

However, Amelia’s expression was slightly annoyed. Then she said in her soft tone, tinged with annoyance, "Mom, why do we have to shift this suddenly, and where are all the previous servants? I was already bored that there were no kids my age near our last home, and now there are not even any servants here that i know."
