Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 283: Criminal

Ravena looked toward the center of the region, where a large castle made of dark marble stone stood. Then

muttered, "Time to announce my return."

She then released her Immortal-rank aura, allowing everyone in the surrounding area to sense her presence.

Every demon in the whole central region froze, stopping whatever they were doing; most were too scared even to move or look toward the source of this terrifying aura, as if that action alone could cost them their lives.

All the crimson trees in the area reacted to Ravena's aura and trembled slightly, as if they had their own consciousness, which they have because every one of these crimson trees is connected to Blood Saint herself, but soon they returned to normal; it means that the Blood Saint has noticed the presence of Ravena and also recognised her. As for what she would do upon Ravena's return, Ravena had no idea; she could only hope it wouldn't be her death.

Ravena kept her gaze towards the dark Castle; her gaze was solemn, and then suddenly five figures came out of the dark castle, each of them radiating the Aura of Immortal rank. Ravena's Aura was slightly lacking compared to the five figures that had just come out of the Dark Castle, because she had just reached the Immortal rank a few hours ago. At the same time, these five individuals had been at Immortal rank for a long time, and the more demons they lived and devoured, the stronger they became.

The five individuals moved toward Ravena; Ravena moved toward them without a shred of fear on her face. 'What is there to fear? It can't be worse than being with that Coward, and for fuck sakes, why is his name even Coward? That bastard doesn't even fear anything.'

Soon, Ravena met those five individuals. Ravena moved her gaze from one individual to another, while the five looked at her with curiosity, confusion, and surprise.

All five of them were Vampires of Immortal rank; there were two female Vampires out of five, both of them radiating a strong Aura. These two had lived for hundreds of years; their Aura proved it.

The other three were males; all three of them had a stronger Aura than Ravena, but one of them had just a little bit stronger Aura than Ravena, making him the weakest and youngest out of all five Vampires that came to meet Ravena.

Ravena knew all five of them: four were elders who had lived for centuries, and the fifth was one of her so-called 'siblings'.

For a moment, everyone just watched each other; no one said anything.

Ravena was the first one to break the silence: "I am back." She tried to keep her tone cheerful as she said it. But it had no effect on the atmosphere; there was still silence, and the expressions of all five became a little more suspicious.

There was an awkward silence for a moment, and then one of the female Elders asked, her tone uncertain, "Ravena?"

Ravena replied, her tone as cheerful and happy as she could make it, "Yeah, it's been a long time, Elder Adrielle."

And then she moved her gaze toward the others and greeted them, "Hello, everyone. All of you seem to be doing well too."

Before anyone could reply, the youngest of all the Vampires looked at Ravena, his gaze full of suspicion, wariness, and hatred. His expression remained cold, and unlike the others, he didn't seem surprised by her return. Instead, he looked as if he was trying to figure out how she had managed to survive for so long.

"How are you still alive?"

Ravena looked at the male Vampire who had just spoken. He was a man with pale skin and black hair. He was Ravena's so-called sibling, though there was no blood relation between them. Even after all these years, she could still recognise that familiar expression on his face.

Ravena looked at him for a moment and then replied, her tone calm, "Ciaran, that's not a question you should ask someone when they return after a decade, and as for your question, I am alive because I never died in the first place. I was just trapped by humans."

And then she paused for a moment before continuing, "But now I have come back as soon as I got the chance to escape, and now here I am, alive and also at Immortal rank, standing in front of you. Shouldn't you be happy to see me again instead of looking at me like I am a criminal?"

As Ravena finished speaking, Ciaran Mortalis spoke up, his tone slightly raised and commanding. "Because you just seem like a criminal to me, don't tell me you expect everyone to believe that you actually escaped, even if you were really trapped and the humans actually let you escape when they didn't for the last decade, so you are hiding something."

And then he paused and moved his gaze towards the other Elders. "Isn't it right, everyone?"

Every Elder nodded at Ciaran's words, and then Ciaran moved his gaze back to Ravena and asked, "So would you mind telling us what kind of deal you made with humans? Did you become their Slave or something, and now came here to

on their instructions, answer this truthfully."

Ravena looked at Ciaran, and then her face twisted into anger and annoyance, and then she said, her tone full of mockery, "Shut the fuck up, you baby mosquito before I crush you into a pile of sht, and then feed it to some low-rank demon."

When Ravena finished speaking, there was silence, with everyone's expressions full of disbelief, as they couldn't believe what Ravena had just said; even Ravena was a little surprised upon realising what she had just said in a flicker of anger.

Ciaron stared at Ravena for a moment, and then his expression turned furious, and then he said, his tone enraged ,"How dare you!?"
