Chapter 1400: Elders

The Core Elders and Null Nathaniel were puzzled by Anthony’s sense of style. This was anything but how a Core Elder should dress. However, they couldn’t do anything about it. After all, Anthony was powerful, and the powerful were allowed to do whatever they wanted. They couldn’t fuss over something as basic as dressing.

"It seems the Sect Master’s Bloodline from the Lower Galaxy did indeed give birth to a remarkable young man."

One of the two newcomers spoke. He was old, with wrinkles covering his skin and face, and a thick white beard could be seen on his face. However, despite his aged appearance, the life force and vitality exuding from his body could not be mistaken, as he certainly wasn’t dying anytime soon.

"Indeed... The Exception To Everything seems like a befitting Title, given the feats that have been revealed over these past few days."

The second newcomer stated. He was also old, and his demeanour was sagely. Unlike the other man, he didn’t possess a white beard. A scar could be seen running from the side of his face to his jawline.

They were both Eternal Apexes.

"Sixth Core Elder, after your return yesterday, we’ve invited people from the Runic Will Pavilion and the Heaven Sealers Association to help us set up a Rune Formation."

The Sect Master began to speak, his tone calm and gentle as he introduced the two newcomers, his eyes fixed on Anthony for a moment.

Anthony simply nodded his head while his hands remained in his hoodie pockets.

The Sect Master gestured towards the bearded old man as he introduced him.

"This is Ancient Elder Li Xing. He is known as the Sky Sealer. He is a Ten Star Rune Master from the Runic Will Pavilion."

The Sword Ruler’s eyes shifted away from Li Xing as he gestured towards the second old man.

"And this is Hidden Elder Cane Haine. He is also known as the Translator Of Wills. He is a Ten Star Formation Master from the Heaven Sealers Association."

He paused for a moment, then gestured towards Anthony as he introduced him, despite the fact that the others already knew who he was.

"Master Li Xing and Master Cane Haine, this is the newly appointed Sixth Core Elder, Null Anthony, The Exception To Everything."

Not everyone liked being addressed by their Titles; some still preferred hearing their own names. Just like these two Elders, after being alive for over a million years, they preferred hearing their own names, as the time when their Titles shook the Sathor Grand Region had long since passed.

"I greet Master Li Xing and Master Cane Haine."

Anthony stated with a nod, neither bowing nor doing anything of the sort. He could have created the Rune Formation himself if any of the Core Elders had asked him to. It wouldn’t take anything more than a snap of his fingers, and certainly less than a second.

Although it wasn’t explicitly stated, these two were extraordinarily influential figures, as Ten Star was the pinnacle one could achieve in fields like Formation, Runes, and Alchemy. It took thousands of years to progress from the Seven Star stage to the Eight Star stage, as crossing each threshold was anything but easy or simple.

Even people considered monsters and outrageous geniuses in these fields still spent over half a million years reaching the Ten Star stage.

Null Nathaniel, for his part, hadn’t expected the Runic Will Pavilion and the Heaven Sealers Association to respond so swiftly. He had only contacted them yesterday evening. Normally, these types of meetings would take a couple of days, as both were busy organizations.

However, they had immediately accepted the meeting and had even wanted to meet that very same day, but Null Nathaniel himself had moved the meeting to today.

Besides, he hadn’t expected these two to be present. After all, they were old and no longer accepted commissions. They weren’t called Ancient and Hidden Elders for no reason.

"Ancient Elder Li Xing, Hidden Elder Cane Haine, the Sixth Core Elder also has a bit of knowledge related to Runes and Formations. He would be working alongside you so he could learn as much as possible from both of you."

The Sect Master stated, lying through his teeth. Anthony wasn’t here to learn anything; he was here to keep an eye on the two men. However, the Sect Master couldn’t say that blatantly, as it would be insulting both organizations to their faces.

Li Xing and Cane Haine said nothing, but they perfectly understood what the Sect Master was getting at. Nevertheless, they remained silent, as they would have done the same in the Sect Master’s position. After all, trusting anyone during this period was foolish.

But... the fact that Anthony had been sent to keep an eye on them meant he possessed knowledge on par with that of a Ten Star Formation Master and a Ten Star Rune Master simultaneously. He was a perfect Runic Master.

This was information they hadn’t known, and, to be honest, it was shocking to both of them. After all, nobody with such a title existed.

It took almost a million years to become a Ten Star Master in one profession, let alone both.

Although it was unbelievable, it was nothing compared to what Anthony had already accomplished. Besides, the truth was reflected in his Title itself.

If Anthony wasn’t a Ten Star Rune and Formation Master, then having him keep an eye on them would be useless, as the gap between a Ten Star Master and anyone below that level was no different from the gap between an Ancient Dragon and a newborn human baby.

"I didn’t know that the Sixth Core Elder was knowledgeable in both Runes and Formations."

Hidden Elder Cane Haine stated with a smile.

"I merely dabble, Translator Of Wills," Anthony replied as he shook his head, a light smile on his face.

"Please, refer to us by name," Li Xing stated calmly.

Anthony paused for a moment, then responded calmly and warmly, his smile still present.

"Then I implore you both to do the same."
