Jessica didn’t speak for a long time.

She lay against Liam’s chest, one leg hooked loosely over his, her breathing slowly evening out.

Every now and then a residual tremor ran through her and made her shift against him.

Cum had dried sticky on the inside of her thighs.

The sheets beneath them were ruined damp in places, tangled around their legs, carrying the thick scent of sex that still hung in the warm air of the room.

Liam’s hand moved slowly up and down her back. His ribs still ached, but the pain had settled into something distant. Manageable.

The cut above his eyebrow had stopped throbbing. For the first time all night, his body felt quiet.

"That wasn’t normal," Jessica said eventually. Her voice was rough, scraped raw from moaning.

"No."

She lifted her head just enough to look at him. Her eyes were still slightly unfocused. A faint, disbelieving crease sat between her brows. Sweat had dried at her temples.

Her lips were swollen. The sharp, controlled woman who had spent weeks keeping careful distance from him looked thoroughly undone.

"I’ve been with men before. None of them..." She trailed off, glancing down toward where his cock rested heavily against his thigh, still thick even at rest. "None of them were like that."

Liam didn’t explain. He simply brushed a strand of sweat-damp hair away from her face.

Jessica leaned into the touch almost without thinking, eyes half-closing for a second before she forced them open again.

"Is it always like that now?" she asked.

"When I want it to be."

She stared at him for a second longer, then let out a short, exhausted breath that was almost a laugh.

She dropped her head back onto his chest, cheek pressed against his skin.

"I’m going to feel this for days."

"Good."

Jessica’s fingers traced idle patterns on his skin, following the line of a faint scar, then the edge of the bruise along his ribs with careful lightness.

The sharpness that used to define her was still there, but it had been blunted softened by orgasm and proximity and the fact that she had finally stopped holding the line.

When she spoke again, her voice was quieter.

"I meant what I said earlier. About when they took me."Liam’s hand stilled on her back.

"I know."

"I hated needing anyone." She exhaled against his chest. The warmth of her breath spread across his skin.

"I still kind of hate it. But you showed up. And now I’m here. So... I don’t know what that makes us."

"It doesn’t have to make us anything tonight."

Jessica was silent for a moment. Her fingers kept moving in small, absent circles. Then she nodded once, small and accepting, and settled more heavily against him.

The last of the tension she had been carrying seemed to leave her shoulders. Her body went pliant in a way he had never seen from her before.

They stayed like that as the night deepened.

Rain began again against the windows, soft at first, then steadier. The sound filled the quiet gaps between their breathing.

At some point Jessica shifted, throwing more of her weight across him, one arm draped over his stomach.

Her breathing slowed. Liam stared at the ceiling, one hand resting on the curve of her hip, feeling the residual heat of her body against his.

Every now and then she twitched in light sleep, a small aftershock still working through her muscles, and his arm tightened around her automatically.

Jessica was claimed. Another permanent piece locked in.

The System’s quiet confirmation sat at the edge of his awareness, clean and final. Multiplier secured. Another channel added. But for once the numbers felt secondary.

What stayed with him was the way she had looked at him when he first pushed inside her shocked, overwhelmed, and still unwilling to tell him to stop.

The way she had broken apart under him three separate times. The way she was still here, soft and unguarded, instead of rebuilding her walls the moment the heat faded.

He thought about the version of Jessica who had first arrived at the villa. Sharp. Distant. Professional to the point of coldness.

The version who had watched him with careful eyes and kept every interaction measured.

That woman was still in there somewhere, but she had stepped aside tonight. What remained was warmer. Heavier. Real in a way the careful distance had never allowed.

Outside, the villa remained quiet. No threats at the gate. No messages from unknown numbers.

No cold mechanical pressure demanding the next move before the current one had even settled. Just the soft sound of rain against the glass, steady and unhurried.

Somewhere downstairs a pipe ticked as the temperature shifted. The house felt larger in the silence, and smaller at the same time.

Liam closed his eyes.

Jessica murmured something wordless against his chest and pressed closer in her sleep. Her leg slid higher over his.

The sticky evidence of what they had done was still drying on her thighs and his skin. Neither of them had moved to clean it.

There would be time for that later. For now the mess felt like proof more than inconvenience.

He let his mind drift over the board without urgency.

Charles was handled. The unknown watcher was still out there, but distant for the moment a problem for another day.

Derek had walked away. Stone Cold had taken whatever proof he needed and left without turning the night into a war.

The house was full of women who now belonged to him in different ways Renee, Victoria, and now Jessica and the list was still growing.

Cole and Vanessa remained open threads. Sandra sat on the edge of possibility. The Multi Claim function waited, patient and ready, for the moment he decided the structure was worth the risk.

But none of that required his attention in this exact moment.Only the warm weight of the woman against him.

Only the quiet.

Liam’s breathing slowly matched hers. The ache in his ribs faded further into the background.

The rain continued its soft rhythm against the glass. Jessica’s fingers, even in sleep, stayed curled lightly against his side as if some part of her still needed the contact to believe he hadn’t disappeared.

He slept.

And for the first time in a long time, nothing came to wake him.

No alerts.

No footsteps in the hall.No cold presence pressing at the edge of his thoughts.

Just Jessica.

Just the rare, complete stillness of a night that asked nothing more from him than to remain exactly where he was.
