Chapter 246: Chapter 246: The Three Little Ones Put on an Act to Punish Mrs. York

Mrs. York was instantly dazed by the pain. "Let go! You little bastard, what do you think you’re doing?!"

Zachery looked incredibly innocent as he blinked his eyes. He couldn’t help it—that box of silver needles sitting on the table was just too conspicuous. One look was enough to know exactly what this old witch was plotting. So, he had casually grabbed a few, handing one each to Christian and Mia just in case they needed them.

Zachery, currently wearing Christian’s face, looked even more well-behaved when he smiled. "Mrs. York, what a thing to say. We really don’t like hearing you call us little bastards. We’ll give you one more chance to speak nicely."

Mrs. York was so furious she could barely catch her breath. "Who the hell do you think you are? You think you’re worthy of me speaking nicely to you?! My daughter is going to be Mrs. Sloan in the future. You three little mutts will still have to bow to her—AHHHH!!

"Christian Sloan, let go! Let go of me!!"

Zachery’s smile deepened. "You see, Mrs. York, I’m a very reasonable kid.

"These silver needles—you were going to use them to bully us, right? So I’m just returning the favor. You use silver needles, so I use silver needles. I didn’t even hit you. Wouldn’t you say I’m being very reasonable?"

Mrs. York rolled her eyes back from the agonizing pain. How in the world was this reasonable?!

The silver needles were specially made to inflict unbearable pain. She would rather have Christian Sloan just hit her!

Zachery’s eyes lit up as if he had read Mrs. York’s mind. "You asked for it. I’ll hit you then~"

Mrs. York shrieked, "Christian Sloan, don’t you dare! There are security cameras here!"

Zachery shook his head. "Mrs. York, do you really think we’re stupid? If you wanted to bully us, you definitely wouldn’t leave any evidence. And to make sure there’s no evidence, this place definitely doesn’t have working cameras.

"However, who really benefits from you intentionally choosing a spot with no cameras? Oh! It turns out it benefits me!"

THUD!

Mrs. York slammed onto her knees. She stared in shock at ’Christian Sloan’s’ hands. How could a little kid have so much strength?!

Zachery delivered two heavy, solid punches right to Mrs. York’s chest, leaving her utterly stupefied.

What did Estelle Lockwood feed her son?! No, wait—wasn’t Christian Sloan a sickly child?! Why... why did his punches hurt so much?!

She felt like her ribs were about to break!

"Just you wait! I’m calling the police! The police!"

Hearing the threat of the police, Zachery hesitated for a moment. But Christian simply said in a mild tone, "Maybe you should try. The headline of an adult being beaten up by a five-year-old would surely be a fascinating read."

Mrs. York’s face flushed beet red with rage. It was true that no one would believe an adult could be pinned to the ground and beaten by a five-year-old child, but... but where did Christian Sloan get this monstrous strength?!

Suddenly, Mrs. York heard a SNAP. Her mind went blank, and without a second thought, she hoisted up a nearby stool and viciously swung it toward ’Christian’s’ head.

"Watch out!" A parent sprinted over and snatched ’Christian’ away.

CRASH!

The stool smashed into the floor.

The children’s play area was filled with parents accompanying their kids. Hearing such a loud commotion, a crowd quickly rushed over. Seeing three little children cowering in the corner while a middle-aged woman angrily smashed a stool, they couldn’t help but frown. "What are you doing? Are you trying to beat these kids?"

Mrs. York froze. "No, I..."

The parent who had rescued the child in the nick of time immediately scowled. "What is wrong with you? Even if they were your own children, you can’t hit them like that. Are you trying to kill them?!"

Still cradled in the man’s arms, ’Christian’ whispered, "Mister, we’re not her children."

At that moment, someone in the crowd recognized them. "Isn’t this... isn’t this Mr. Sloan’s son? His name is Christian Sloan, right? Then who is this woman?"

"Gasp... That’s Mrs. York, isn’t it? I remember she booked a beauty treatment here today."

"Mrs. York? Oh, I get it. Thea York and Mrs. Sloan don’t get along. Everyone knows about what happened at Old Mrs. Sloan’s banquet, right? Thea York stole something and tried to frame Mrs. Sloan for it. Is Mrs. York holding a grudge over that?"

"Your daughter has a conflict with Mrs. Sloan, so you take it out on a child? What is wrong with you? Look how young they are!"

The real Christian calmly shot a glance at Zachery, who was in the man’s arms. Zachery held his breath for a long while until he finally managed to force his eyes to turn red.

And so, the onlookers watched as Young Master ’Christian’, who had been silent all this time, teared up after hearing the man’s words. Tears of grievance began to fall down his face.

"Mister, I’m fine," ’Christian’ said pitifully.

Seeing such a sweet and sensible child made everyone’s hearts ache even more.

He had been bullied so terribly, yet he didn’t say a single bad word about Mrs. York. Everyone present had children of their own, and for a moment, they felt an overwhelming wave of sympathy.

Mrs. York was dumbfounded. She was going out of her mind! Who was the one actually getting beaten up here?!

"Are you all blind?! It was these three little bastards who hit me! Do you have any conscience?! Huh?!"

The man holding the child frowned deeply. "Mrs. York, it’s exactly because we have eyes that we know you were bullying a child. Are you really trying to shift the blame?"

Mia stepped forward to speak up as well. "If Mrs. York thinks we’re at fault, we can just check the security cameras. Whether or not someone was bullied will be crystal clear, won’t it?"

The man nodded in agreement. "That’s right. The mall has security cameras everywhere. We’ll go check the footage right now."

Several other parents chimed in to comfort them. "That’s right, Christian. Don’t you kids be afraid. We’ll go check the cameras now, and then we’ll accompany you to the police."

Mrs. York thought for a second—they were right! Once they checked the footage, they would see...

"The security cameras in this area were vandalized. I heard... I heard Mrs. York went to the security room earlier..." the mall manager’s voice suddenly rang out.

Mrs. York’s mind went blank as the color instantly drained from her face. Right, the cameras were broken! How was she supposed to prove that Christian Sloan had hit her?!

"Heh."

To her surprise, the crowd’s reaction was completely different from what she had anticipated. "Mrs. York, intentionally breaking the cameras, intentionally taking the kids away—what else do you have to say for yourself?"

Mrs. York suddenly realized that she had fallen for a trap today. She had been played by three little kids!

"N-No! The three of them hit me! You little mutt, say something! Admit it, hurry up!!"

’Christian’ feigned terror. "I’m sorry, it was me who hit Mrs. York. Mrs. York, please don’t scold me..."

The other parents were so angry they laughed.

"Mrs. York, you really can lie without even blinking, can’t you! Threatening someone to this extent—do you really think we can’t tell what’s going on? What are you trying to claim? That Young Master Christian hit you? He’s just a child. Even if he did hit you, how much strength could he possibly have?"

"Exactly, if you’re going to lie, at least come up with a better excuse! Take a look at yourself, Mrs. York! Your face is glowing red—you don’t look like you’ve been beaten up at all!"

Mrs. York became even more exasperated. Her finger trembled as she pointed at Zachery. "So this is Estelle Lockwood’s son? Beating someone up and refusing to admit it! You’re just a tramp like your mother!"

Zachery’s eyes turned icy. "Mrs. York, even if I did hit you, what does that have to do with our mommy!"
