Mommy, Daddy Has Already Regretted It
Chapter 63: Zachery Teaches the Bitch a Lesson
Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Zachery Teaches the Bitch a Lesson
Christian’s expression cracked a little, and he gently pressed his lips together. He had thought of every possible countermeasure, but he hadn’t expected that Zachery would know calligraphy while he didn’t.
Just then, Zachery pushed the door open and walked in. "Ms. Yara, Mr. Chapman is looking for you," he said politely.
Estelle saw ’Christian’ arrive and, without suspecting anything, walked to the door.
Zachery took this opportunity to dart into the room. He picked up the calligraphy brush and began writing on the rice paper. SWISH, SWISH, SWISH. He finished writing in a flash and stuffed the brush back into Christian’s hand.
"Young Master, don’t give yourself away. I’m going to use your identity to pull off something huge later!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Estelle returned, looking a bit confused. "Mr. Chapman wasn’t looking for me."
"Then I must have misheard," Zachery said immediately.
Estelle didn’t suspect a five-year-old child. She walked back to the desk and was surprised to find that the rice paper, which had been completely blank moments ago, was now filled with characters.
"Zachery... did you just write this?"
Zachery immediately shot Christian a look. Christian, still holding the brush, mumbled, "Yeah..."
"Your handwriting has improved, but Mommy asked you to practice calligraphy to help you calm your mind. Don’t do this next time."
Christian was quick to admit his mistake. "I’m sorry, Mommy."
Estelle figured that Zachery probably found practicing calligraphy boring, which was why he had scribbled randomly. She felt a bit helpless. "Since you’re not in the mood to continue practicing, let’s just forget it. Mommy is going back to her room to handle some work. Be good, you two."
Zachery nodded eagerly.
As soon as Estelle left, Zachery closed the door and flashed a mysterious grin. "Come here, Young Master. I have a plan to teach Noelle Lockwood a lesson. Do you want to do it?"
Christian nodded. "Yes."
Zachery coughed. "Alright, but this plan might ruin your image a tiny bit... actually, a whole lot!"
Christian thought about it. He wondered, "A tiny bit of my image? I’m not someone who cares about my image anyway." Then he said, "Alright, Zachery. You are me right now, so whatever you want to do, just decide for yourself."
Zachery’s eyes darted around, feeling a bit guilty. He wondered, "Will the Young Master beat me up later... Oh, whatever! Regardless, the Young Master is only five years old. What is wrong with a five-year-old child being a little rowdy?"
Half an hour later, Estelle finished her work and went downstairs, only to hear Noelle’s voice coming from the kitchen.
"I’ll do it. This is the soup Christian wants to drink, so of course I have to make it myself. How could I trouble anyone else?
"Yes, Christian wanted to drink it, so I came over to make it for him.
"Pear soup is common, and everyone knows how to make it, but Christian only loves the one I cook. As parents, we naturally have to fulfill our children’s wishes."
Estelle’s eyes darkened slightly. She wondered, "Didn’t Nathaniel Sloan tell Noelle to get lost? Why is she here again?"
A servant in the kitchen praised her. "Miss Noelle, you are so good to the Young Master."
Noelle smiled gently, then feigned disappointment. "He is my son, after all. It’s just that compared to before... we’ve grown distant. It’s probably because I don’t live at Imperial Crest. He’s only five; since he can’t see me, he’s gradually forgetting me."
The servant was about to comfort her, but Noelle had already forced a strong smile.
"Alright, alright, there’s no need to talk about this. The fact that Christian thought of me and asked me to make soup for him is enough to satisfy me."
Laura Jennings’s heart ached even more when she heard this. She thought, "Why can’t Noelle live at Imperial Crest? Isn’t it all because of that vixen?!"
Right at that moment, they heard footsteps. Noelle put on a smile. "Ms. Yara, do you need something in the kitchen? I’m sorry, but I’m currently making soup for Christian."
Estelle narrowed her eyes. She wondered, "Noelle is making soup for Christian?"
She glanced at Laura before looking at Noelle, raising an eyebrow. "Are you trying to make another bowl of soup that will give Christian an allergic reaction?"
Noelle secretly seethed with hatred. She thought, "How dare Yara bring that up? It was precisely because I gave Christian a bowl of celery soup that Nathaniel kicked me out!"
However, on the surface, she pretended to be helpless. "Ms. Yara, I explained it to you last time. I was truly just being careless. I’m Christian’s mother—how could I intentionally cause him to have an allergic reaction? Christian was the one who asked me to stay this time, which is why I’m here. If you don’t believe me, you can just go ask him."
"Ms. Yara, I was indeed the one who asked her to stay," a voice rang out.
Estelle turned around and saw ’Christian’ standing at the kitchen door. She had no idea when he had arrived.
For some reason, hearing Christian say those words made a faint trace of sadness surface in her heart. She didn’t even know where this sadness was coming from.
She wondered, "Is it because... Christian relies on Noelle? That makes sense; Noelle is Christian’s biological mother after all. How strange, why am I feeling jealous over this?"
However, a mere second after this thought arose, she saw ’Christian’ blinking desperately at her. His eyes practically screamed the words: ’Watch my performance.’
Estelle fell silent for a moment. She wondered, "Why does it feel like the Young Master is picking up bad habits from Zachery? Every time Zachery is about to do something mischievous, he has this exact same expression!"
Naturally, Noelle didn’t notice this. Her words were filled with uncontrollable smugness. "Did you hear that, Ms. Yara? I know you hate me, but this is Christian’s wish, after all."
Estelle shot her a glance.
Zachery spoke up, "Aunt Noelle, is the pear soup ready?"
Noelle couldn’t wait to show off and deliberately made her voice sound very gentle. "Of course it is. Come have a taste, Christian."
A bowl of pear soup was brought over and placed in front of Zachery.
Zachery curled his lips. He had already asked the Young Master earlier, and the Young Master didn’t like drinking pear soup at all. Noelle claiming that Christian loved pear soup was nothing more than an attempt to show off her ’hard work and dedication’.
At that moment, Nathaniel slowly walked down from the second floor.
Noelle knew this was a great opportunity. She thought, "As long as Christian says he loves it, and I add a few sweet words, Nathaniel will definitely let me stay!"
As for whether Christian actually liked pear soup? A flash of contempt crossed Noelle’s eyes. She thought, "This little brat never dares to say much, nor does he dare to reject anyone’s ’good intentions’."
Thinking of this, Noelle softened her voice. "Have a taste, Christian. I put a lot of effort into this soup. If it’s not good, I’ll make it again for you."
Zachery caught sight of Nathaniel at a glance. He thought, "So the scumbag dad is here; no wonder she’s acting so gentle."
He lowered his head and took a sip of the soup.
Noelle’s smile widened, and Laura said in a gratified tone, "Nathaniel, no matter what, Noelle is Christian’s biological mother. Look, Christian also likes the soup she makes..."
"PFFT!" Before she could finish, Zachery suddenly bent over and spat out a mouthful of soup!
"What is this? It tastes awful! Aunt Noelle, did you come all the way here just to make this kind of stuff for me?"
The kitchen plunged into a dead silence.
Noelle was in disbelief, thinking she had misheard. "Christian, y-you..."
Zachery slammed the bowl down. "What about me? Aunt Noelle, Daddy kicked you out, but you said I liked pear soup and came over to make it for me. I was touched for a moment. But now it seems like you just wanted to find an excuse to get close to my Daddy. You don’t care about me at all."
