Violet Zimmerman thought it was her husband Daxton Lancaster who had returned, but when she looked up, she saw it was her brother-in-law entering the yard.

Joseph Lancaster was already dressed up, wearing an olive-colored suit with a woolen coat, a gray V-neck sweater, a white shirt, and a red tie, holding a briefcase in his hand; he was obviously going to the company.

The clothing styles of that era were simple, and men of status wore wool coats. Joseph Lancaster resembled his brother Daxton Lancaster, and even their hairstyles were the same.

That’s why Robert Lancaster mistook him, stretching out his little hands towards Joseph Lancaster, continuously asking for "Daddy, hug me~."

Joseph Lancaster walked over and picked up his crying son, casually handing his briefcase to Violet Zimmerman, patiently coaxing him as he walked into the hall.

"Robert, don’t cry. Daddy’s holding you, Daddy’s holding Robert. Robert, don’t cry, your face is chapped..."

"Daddy~didi~Robert didi~" Robert Lancaster grinned and mimicked holding a steering wheel with his little hands.

"It’s cold outside, Daddy will play with Robert indoors. When the weather warms up, we’ll ride didi again,"

Joseph Lancaster patiently wiped his son’s tears clean and sat down in front of the sofa.

"Daddy! Didi! Robert didi!"

Earlier, the little one saw Daddy leaving in the didi and now wanted to ride it too. Seeing Joseph Lancaster sitting and holding him on the sofa, he got upset again.

His small fists tightly clenched, he looked at Joseph Lancaster with a flushed face, gritting his teeth, wanting to ride didi.

Violet Zimmerman walked over and extended her hand, "Joseph, give him to me. It’s getting late, you should go to work."

Joseph Lancaster glanced up at the time on the grandfather clock; it was almost eight. Although he felt worried for his son, he had a client coming to the company today, sighed, and got up to hand Robert Lancaster over.

Violet Zimmerman had just positioned the little guy under the arms when he started crying, tightly gripping Joseph Lancaster’s shirt collar, unwilling to let go.

"Daddy! Didi, Robert didi... sob... Robert didi..."

"Robert, be good, Daddy needs to go to work." Violet Zimmerman reached out and forcibly took Robert Lancaster, making the little one cry even more sadly.

With his son crying, how could the father bear it? In desperation, Joseph Lancaster made a temporary decision and took Robert Lancaster back, "Robert, don’t cry, Daddy will take you for a didi ride."

"Didi, didi~" The little one took a long breath, happily grinning, and made steering gestures to Joseph Lancaster.

"Yes, Daddy will take Robert for a didi ride," Joseph Lancaster repeated, looking at his son’s adorable face with a gentle expression.

"Sister-in-law, let’s go, come to the company with me."

"This..." Initially, Violet Zimmerman didn’t understand her brother-in-law’s intentions, but saw him heading out with his son in his arms and realized that he was planning to take the child to work.

Quickly running after them, she said, "Joseph, give Robert to me, he’ll calm down soon."

"My son wants to ride didi, how can a father bear to refuse?" Joseph Lancaster looked at the little one flailing happily, and a smile involuntarily formed at the corners of his lips.

"Didi, didi~" Robert Lancaster was still clenching his little fists, and Joseph Lancaster gently nodded, "Yes, Daddy will take Robert for a didi ride."

"Mwah" all of a sudden, the delighted little one hugged Joseph Lancaster’s head and gave him a random kiss on the face.

Such sudden happiness startled Joseph Lancaster initially, but once he realized it, he laughed joyfully, "Son, you are so good!"

"Good, good~" Seeing Daddy laughing, the little one was happy too, clapping his little hands in joy.
