“Blair Williams, as a servant of the Lancaster Family, eating our food and taking our wages, yet gossiping behind our backs. Tell me, how should I deal with you!”

Seeing it was about time, Daxton Lancaster spoke, his tone stern, matching the expression on his face.

Blair Williams shuffled on her knees to Daxton Lancaster, wiping away tears and snot, “Family Head, please forgive me, I truly made a mistake, I dare not do it again…”

Beside them, Joseph Lancaster turned his face away and sighed. He had decided last night to dismiss her, the one gossiping behind their backs, and handle the issue of her secretly taking family items; but now…

Looking at Blair Williams’s pitiful appearance, Joseph Lancaster softened, sighed again, and turned back, urging, “Brother, let it go, just let her leave,”

Joseph Lancaster stood up and walked towards the stairs. Hearing of her impending dismissal, Blair Williams panicked further, turning towards Joseph Lancaster’s back, begging tearfully.

“Second Master, I was wrong, please don’t dismiss me; my whole family relies on me…”

Joseph Lancaster ascended the stairs. It wasn’t that he lacked empathy, but such disloyal and restless people could not stay with him. Yesterday she reported to Brother, but if one day she gossiped with the second branch or others, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Watching Joseph Lancaster’s figure disappear upstairs, Blair Williams turned back to plead with Daxton Lancaster, begging while kowtowing.

Daxton Lancaster looked at her coldly, unmoved.

After a while, Joseph Lancaster descended the stairs again and handed a wad of bills to Blair Williams, “Take it, and leave after breakfast,”

“Second Master…” Blair Williams looked at Joseph Lancaster pitifully, hoping he would allow her to stay.

Joseph Lancaster tossed the wad onto the coffee table, his stance firm, “You don’t need to beg me. With your character, the Lancaster Family will not employ you again.”

…

Blair Williams did not eat breakfast, packing her things and departed.

In the spacious living room, only the two brothers sat separately on the sofa, neither speaking.

As siblings, not only did they look alike, but even their expressions when deep in thought were the same.

Brows slightly furrowed, eyes slightly misty, lips pressed together, staring ahead.

After a long while, Daxton Lancaster returned to his senses, took a deep breath, and turned to his brother.

“It’s getting late, we should also go have breakfast; if we’re late, Grandfather will worry. After breakfast, have your sister-in-law find another servant for you. Let’s go.”

Daxton Lancaster stood up, patted his brother’s shoulder, and did not mention the topic of Violet Zimmerman staying in his room.

Joseph Lancaster did not immediately follow, watching Daxton Lancaster’s back, with a slightly misty expression. He knew Brother cared about reputation, especially regarding such matters, believing no man wanted others to know of his private issues, even close family.

Suddenly, Joseph Lancaster felt great empathy for his brother. Despite the outward appearance of superiority, who would know the burdens he carried inside?

He got up to catch up, “Brother, wait for me!”

…

Robert Lancaster sat on the carpet, randomly stacking building blocks, while Violet Zimmerman distractedly accompanied him.

It had already been half an hour, and Daxton Lancaster had not returned. She was uncertain how things turned out, whether it alarmed the in-laws or the second branch…

Violet Zimmerman was lost in thought when the door was pulled open from outside. It was Daxton Lancaster, standing at the entrance, “Violet. Dress Robert in his coat and let’s go have breakfast.”

Violet Zimmerman…

After a while, she stood up from the carpet, “It’s settled?”

“Yes, trust your husband to handle things, don’t you?”

Daxton Lancaster, in a rare cheerful mood, smiled and said, “Dress Robert in his coat and let’s eat.”

Hearing the voice, Robert Lancaster turned away from his building blocks.

Seeing Daxton Lancaster, he eagerly discarded the blocks, pushed himself up off the carpet with his little backside, and opened his small hands, calling, “Daddy, Daddy~”

“Yes, good son, come to Daddy!”

Daxton Lancaster crouched down, clapping to the little boy, while Violet Zimmerman turned to the clothes rack to get her son’s coat.

“Brother, hurry up.”

Joseph Lancaster, waiting impatiently outside, stepped inside. Halfway towards them, little Robert Lancaster saw Joseph Lancaster suddenly appear and momentarily froze.

The little boy stood in the hall, his dark eyes reflecting confusion, watching the two men who looked alike, stunned for quite a while. Suddenly, he happily clapped his small hands, looking at both brothers and laughing, “Daddy, Daddy, two Daddies, haha…”

Seeing two Daddies appear together, the little boy was delighted, laughing constantly.

Violet Zimmerman felt embarrassed, carrying over her son’s coat, “Robert, don’t say that,”

“Haha, two Daddies…”

The little boy continued clapping his small hands, then covered his mouth as if holding a rare treasure, his adorable appearance softening Joseph Lancaster’s heart.

Violet Zimmerman dressed him in his coat while he kept covering his mouth and giggling.

Daxton Lancaster, without a trace on his face, frowned slightly, heading inside with his shoes on, lifting the little boy and walking to Joseph Lancaster, patiently saying, “Robert, Daddy tells you, this is your Uncle, not Daddy, Daddy is here.”

“Daddy, two Daddies~” The little boy continued laughing back and forth.

Daxton Lancaster frowned again, his tone turning stern, “Robert Lancaster!”

…?

For the first time seeing Daddy so serious, the little boy stopped laughing, amazed looking at Daxton Lancaster, then glancing at Joseph Lancaster standing in front of the door.

“Robert, this is your Uncle; learn from Daddy, call him Uncle.” Daxton Lancaster taught firmly.

The young boy, barely more than ten months old, couldn’t comprehend these matters, his gaze moving back and forth between the brothers, still mumbling in confusion, “Daddy,”

“Robert, call Uncle!” Daxton Lancaster’s tone became even more stern.

Violet Zimmerman, who had just finished dressing the child, stepped over, seeing Daxton Lancaster’s stern demeanor, stood frozen with some concern, fearing he might lose his temper at their son.

Joseph Lancaster sighed quietly, reached out, and took the little boy over, patiently saying, “Robert, I’m your Uncle, be good, call Uncle, and when Uncle comes home from work, I’ll buy you candy.”

“Daddy,” the little boy’s small hand grabbed Joseph Lancaster’s lips, softly murmuring.

“Daddy is here.” Joseph Lancaster grabbed the little boy’s hand, pointing to the somber-faced Daxton Lancaster opposite, then turned the boy toward himself.

“Robert, call Uncle, and Uncle will buy meat for you.”

Hearing about meat, the little boy immediately smacked his lips, “Meat, Robert eats meat, Uncle buys…”

“Good nephew!” Joseph Lancaster gladly rewarded the boy with a kiss; as long as Brother didn’t trouble his son and wife, what did it matter what he was called?

“Meat, Robert eats meat!” The little boy smacked his lips, his small hand pointing to his little mouth.

“Alright, if Robert is good, Uncle will buy meat for you. Now, let Daddy hold you, Uncle can’t hold you anymore.” Seeing Brother’s displeasure, Joseph Lancaster adeptly handed the child over.

Receiving the little boy, Daxton Lancaster’s face relaxed somewhat, gently breathing out, kindly saying, “Son, if you want to eat meat, Daddy will buy.”

“Daddy, meat!”

The little boy pointed to his small mouth towards Daxton Lancaster, who carried him and headed out, gently promising, “Alright, Daddy will buy,”

Behind them, Violet Zimmerman looked at Joseph Lancaster, who gently shook his head, as long as she and her son were happy, it did not matter how he was addressed.
