Chapter 1080 - 1079: The Mastermind

If they find Little Treasure, Finn can escape.

She was waiting, having waited for a long time but did not see any servant coming to lock the door.

Logically, if Mr. Chambers came over to knock on the door, and the monitor on the wall also captured him coming in, Old Master Chambers would send someone over.

Now Old Master is not showing up, and even the servants haven’t come over.

Has something happened in the main hall?

As Finn was wondering, her watch received a call that rang three times before hanging up.

This was a code from Serena Sullivan.

If the whereabouts of Little Treasure were found, the phone would ring three times and then hang up.

Finally, they’ve found Little Treasure’s whereabouts. Finn looked once more at the door that no one had come to close and curiously went out to check the situation.

When it was early morning, the sky was overcast, and she couldn’t see everything clearly in The Chambers Family’s yard.

Now, at around one in the afternoon with the sun at its strongest, Finn found that the once noisy Chambers Residence had become extremely quiet.

The Chambers Family placed a high value on their reputation, and there were no small number of servants.

What puzzled Finn was that she didn’t see any servants along the way, let alone anyone from The Chambers Family.

In some places, clothes and other items were scattered about, as if people had fled hurriedly.

When she arrived at the main hall of The Chambers Family, the voices coming from inside made Finn feel that someone was living there.

"Grandfather, given the current situation, keeping Finn locked up is useless."

The voice was so familiar that Finn’s eyes instantly turned red.

Julian Ford had arrived!

She wanted to rush in and hug him, but recalling how she had drugged him, she hesitated.

"If it’s useless, how could it make Mr. Ford come to The Chambers Family in person?"

"If grandfather wanted to see me, a word would have been enough for me to come over."

Julian Ford said with a smile.

His expression was gentle, giving no hint of whether he was anxious or angry.

The better a man is at disguising himself, the harder he is to deal with.

Old Master Chambers knew the first time he saw him that Finn had chosen a good husband.

"Mr. Ford, since you’re so straightforward, I’ll be direct too."

"Finn is the young master of The Chambers Family. She has always helped me manage the company, and she has done a great job over the years."

"Is grandfather asking Finn to come back and help again?"

Julian Ford asked, feigning ignorance.

"It’s not about asking her to come back because she never left."

"I know she’s a woman and I was angry, but I quickly forgave her because she promised me something."

Old Master Chambers smiled wryly as he spoke, "Do you know what she promised me?"

"I don’t know."

"She would go outside to find a man and have a child, then bring the child back to The Chambers Family." Old Master Chambers calmly lied, "Now that both Little Treasure and Finn have returned, I ask Mr. Ford to let them go."

"What grandfather means is, Finn being with me was only to have a child."

"Little Treasure being taken away, she was the mastermind."

"Yes!" Old Master Chambers stated firmly. He instructed the butler to take out an agreement and hand it to Julian Ford, "This is the divorce agreement, Finn has already signed it."

Outside, upon hearing Old Master Chambers’ words, Finn wanted to go in and expose Old Master’s lie, but then she heard Julian Ford laugh and say, "The signature imitation is quite good!"

His words made Finn stop in her tracks. She stood there listening to the conversation between Julian Ford and Old Master Chambers, clearly understanding that even without her, Julian Ford could handle everything well.

"Grandfather, forging someone’s signature is illegal!"

"However, since The Chambers Family dared to kidnap a child, what else wouldn’t they dare?"
