Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1112 - 1121: She’s Afraid

  • Next Chapter

After boarding the plane, Ethan Grant, having finished his last bit of work, turned off his phone. When he was about to shut down his mobile, he realized he hadn’t checked his messages all day.

Before turning off his phone, he checked the messages and saw one from Serena Sullivan.

"I miss you!"

The simple four words brought an unstoppable smile to Ethan Grant’s lips. It was already around nine in the evening; if he replied to Serena, he might disturb her.

Ethan Grant thought for a moment, then turned off his phone and slipped it back into his pocket.

He leaned back on the airplane seat and turned his head to look out at the scenery, feeling very contented inside.

Serena, I miss you too!

Serena Sullivan was unable to sleep.

She had sent a message to Ethan Grant, but he hadn’t replied.

It’s been an hour without a reply, which she didn’t mind at first, but after waiting so long, still nothing.

She understood Ethan Grant, no matter how busy he was, he would always send her a message.

After waiting and waiting without any response from Ethan Grant, Serena couldn’t hold on any longer. She got up from the bed, picked up her phone, and made a call to Ethan Grant.

Yet, Ethan Grant’s phone was turned off.

Serena tried again, but still couldn’t get through.

This time, Serena began to panic.

She was usually calm in the face of issues, knowing how to handle them!

But now, unable to reach Ethan Grant, tears began to fall from her eyes.

She didn’t care whether Simon Sterling and the others were asleep and dialed the number.

Thinking that something might have happened to Ethan Grant, her fingers trembled desperately as she dialed the number.

If something happened to him, what would she do!

Simon Sterling answered the call, and given the late hour, hearing Serena call, he couldn’t help but worry, "Serena, what’s wrong?"

Serena wanted to say Ethan Grant could not be found but burst into tears.

"Is your stomach hurting?" Claire Sullivan’s voice followed immediately, "We’ll come over right away."

Although there was still a month until the due date, it was possible for the baby to come a month early.

Serena took a deep breath, calming her emotions, "No, Ethan’s phone won’t connect."

"Dad, can you help me find him!"

"Did something happen to him?"

As Serena spoke, she began to cry.

A pregnant woman’s emotions are very sensitive. She used to be too strong and didn’t cry easily, but without Ethan Grant at her side, she was prone to tears.

"Don’t think too much, Serena."

Simon Sterling, understanding the situation, reassured her repeatedly, "I’ll have someone check right away."

"I sent him a message at noon, and he still hasn’t replied. I tried to call him, but I can’t reach him."

"He can’t be in trouble."

As Serena was crying, she heard voices coming from outside.

The voice was familiar, making her pause in surprise.

"Thank you, Butler Sterling, I can go in on my own."

The man’s voice was significantly lowered, careful not to disturb the sleeping people inside.

Serena said to Simon Sterling on the phone, "Dad, it’s okay, he’s come to the Sterling Family estate."

She hung up the call and, without bothering to put on her shoes, walked over.

Outside, Ethan Grant gently pushed open the door. As the door opened, he saw a figure standing in front of him. He hadn’t yet recovered when the person had already thrown themselves into his arms.

Being suddenly hugged late at night startled Ethan Grant.

"Ethan Grant, you scared me to death!"

After hugging Ethan tightly, Serena Sullivan cried and asked.

"What happened?"

Listening to her cry, Ethan Grant’s voice became even more gentle.
