Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 655: Heaven’s Retribution
This island is originally a scenic destination, and it’s easy to get a visa here. Coupled with the current tourist season, many people are visiting. When Cecilia Vaughn got off the plane, she didn’t expect the crowd to be so overwhelming. If Adrian Law hadn’t been holding her hand, the two of them might have gotten separated in the crowd.
Just as Cecilia and Adrian’s fingers were interlocked, suddenly, a middle-aged blonde woman unexpectedly bumped into Cecilia’s side!
Cecilia gasped in pain. Initially, she didn’t think much of it, but then the other person started hurling insults at her!
...
Cecilia’s eyes slightly narrowed as she fired back fluently in English.
"Ma’am, who exactly wasn’t looking where they were going, don’t you know?"
The middle-aged blonde woman obviously didn’t expect Cecilia’s English to be so good. After all, although there are many tourists from Veridia here, many can’t read or speak English well and rely widely on guides to get around.
The woman grunted twice, clearly not wanting to engage with Cecilia any further, and prepared to turn away.
Cecilia, already beyond furious, grabbed the woman’s arm directly and pulled her back.
"Aren’t you going to apologize?"
"Apologize?!"
The woman’s eyes widened bigger than saucers and she stomped in anger.
"Please, you people are just yellow-skinned monkeys, second-class citizens, coming to our place to travel and you want me to apologize?"
Cecilia was obviously not expecting the other party to be so shameless.
And to casually refer to Veridian people as yellow-skinned monkeys.
This kind of slur is almost equivalent to calling them the sick man of Aethelgard.
This isn’t just about slandering Cecilia; it’s a complete insult to her entire country.
...
Adrian Law’s expression was cold and reserved. He calmly grabbed Cecilia, signaling her to stay composed.
"Cecilia, take a picture of this woman’s face."
"Okay."
"What are you going to do? This is abroad, and secretly photographing someone is illegal."
Adrian’s lips curled into a cold and harsh arc.
"Illegal? Then is it legal for you to insult my wife’s dignity?"
"You—"
The woman hadn’t noticed Adrian before, but facing his direct confrontation, she suddenly saw how handsome and striking Adrian’s features were.
In recent years, Veridian TV dramas have been popularizing delicate young male actors, and it’s not just Veridia, but also neighboring countries like Silaris and Kaelan, which favor fair-skinned young actors.
However, Adrian’s facial contours and features are just right, not as flat as the usual Asian looks, with a high nose and deep-set eyes, resembling Euronia and Vesperia looks. His narrow, cold phoenix eyes add a touch of traditional Aethelic aesthetics, and this appearance is easily accepted by foreigners.
...
The woman was evidently intimidated by Adrian’s appearance and charisma, and immediately stumbled over her words.
"Ah... I may have spoken harshly earlier."
"Harshly?"
Adrian let out a cold laugh.
"Um... could I have your contact information? How about I apologize and we have a meal together to resolve this misunderstanding?"
She said, casting a somewhat coquettish glance at Adrian. Although she was a decade older than him, she maintained herself well and considered herself to have mature charm.
Although she suggested treating both Adrian and Cecilia to a meal to apologize, her gaze was fervently fixed on Adrian, clearly forgetting that Cecilia was the one she should truly be apologizing to.
...
Seeing the older woman’s twirling eyes, Cecilia knew exactly what she was thinking.
Already upset, watching this scene made her eyes suddenly fill with icy coldness.
"Ma’am, are you mistaken about something? Why do you need my husband’s contact information?"
"Earlier, you mocked us Veridians as uncultured yellow-skinned monkeys. Should I say that you self-proclaimed open-minded whites are actually far behind us in manners?"
Cecilia’s choice of words was polite, yet it infuriated the middle-aged blonde woman.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I kindly offered to make amends and invited you to dinner, and you not only refuse but mock me?"
"Aren’t these words you spoke earlier, ma’am? Does that count as mockery?"
Cecilia raised her delicate eyebrows, disinclined to engage further with the middle-aged woman, she silently took a photo of the woman, keeping it for future purposes.
...
"Adrian, let’s go."
"Alright."
"Hey, you both haven’t given me your contact information!"
The middle-aged woman looked longingly at Adrian, clearly still harboring unfulfilled intentions.
Seeing her made Cecilia angry again, and she immediately dragged Adrian away in a huff.
...
The two hailed a local taxi. Adrian owned a villa in Zentaria, an elegant townhouse near the bay.
The garden was colorful, and from the balcony, one could see the long stretch of beach.
Still fuming with anger from earlier, Cecilia couldn’t be bothered to speak to Adrian.
"Still angry? Are you upset about what happened earlier?"
Adrian found it amusing yet helpless. Clearly, it wasn’t his fault, yet why did it feel like his little wife was throwing the blame on him?
"No."
Cecilia pouted, showing her disinterest in speaking with Adrian.
Though she didn’t possess the hacking skills of Adrian and Wyatt Law, Cecilia knew that abroad, Google’s image recognition technology was the best.
If that woman had ever posted her daily life photos online, they could soon be linked.
Just as Cecilia predicted, she quickly found an Instagram account.
Full of selfies of the blonde woman.
With multiple levels of beauty filters, appearing even more sultry and attractive.
Cecilia was adept at searching through accounts, through the linked email note; she also found a dating-like app with the woman’s contact details.
...
Cecilia didn’t have any other intentions, merely browsing when she suddenly found that the woman was married.
Wait, married yet out playing around?
Cecilia’s eyes widened, and following the trail, she found the husband’s Instagram.
This was quite something.
...
Thinking about the woman’s fierce expression when she insulted the "yellow-skinned monkeys," Cecilia clicked her tongue and anonymously sent the woman’s dating app post address as a private message to the husband’s account.
Whatever the outcome, Cecilia didn’t want to involve herself further.
Consider it a good deed for the day.
...
Adrian watched Cecilia do all this intently.
The entire process surprisingly took less than twenty minutes.
"Cecilia, I genuinely feel like applauding you."
"..."
Cecilia shot him a glance, picked up a cup preparing to drink, but was suddenly stopped by Adrian.
