Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 1929 - 2028: The Girl Who Was Nearly Defiled

  • Next Chapter

After he left, Han Yan asked someone to bring Gu Qingyang to discuss the alchemy of elixirs. While it was called discussing, it was actually Han Yan subtly instructing Gu Qingyang in alchemy.

As the number of priests in Huayu Temple increased, so did the demand for elixirs. Buying them from outside was too costly, and it was far better to refine them themselves. Unfortunately, there were originally very few priests in Huayu City, and not a single one knew alchemy. Han Yan couldn’t personally handle everything, so the responsibility had to temporarily fall on Gu Qingyang.

However, although he was skilled in the refining method of the Phoenix Nirvana Pill, he had little knowledge of other elixirs, and his techniques for many low-level elixirs were not as exquisite as Han Yan’s. So Han Yan had to take the time to instruct him one by one.

To get Huayu Temple on track as soon as possible, Han Yan was generous with his knowledge, teaching Gu Qingyang everything he knew. Gu Qingyang, realizing this was essential for the Gu family’s foothold in Huayu City, learned with extra diligence. He was naturally broad-minded and didn’t feel embarrassed to learn from Han Yan.

After all, even a renowned Array Master like Wen Gaoren had begged and pleaded tearfully to become Han Yan’s disciple; why should he feel embarrassed?

One taught with full dedication, the other was completely absorbed in learning, until dusk fell and the escort guards reminded them a few times before they reluctantly stopped and headed to the dining hall together.

The night was already deep, and the others had long finished dinner and returned to their rooms to rest or cultivate. The entire temple was peaceful.

"Ah..." A sharp scream shattered the silence, accompanied by the sound of something breaking.

Han Yan’s eyes narrowed, and he sharply turned his head. The scream apparently came from within the temple; could there be an enemy invasion within the temple!

Soon, a nearby door burst open, and a young girl stumbled out, seemingly a maid from the temple. Shortly after, an elderly man followed; it was Zhao Xinggu.

Seeing it wasn’t an enemy attack, Han Yan felt relieved, but upon closer inspection, his brows furrowed, and a raging anger ignited in his heart!

The maid’s name was Ruan Zhi, one of the twelve maids recently selected for the temple. Previously, the temple priests couldn’t even fill their stomachs, so naturally, they had no maidservants. However, now while Huayu City was still in the process of rebuilding, filling a stomach was no longer an issue. Considering Han Yan and the others were busy with matters and needed time to cultivate, the families from the city voluntarily sent young girls to the temple to take care of their daily needs.

Of course, to these girls, it was a tremendous honor and privilege. Every time Han Yan met them, she saw genuine joy, pride, and even happiness on their faces.

But now, Ruan Zhi’s face no longer showed the usual cheerfulness. The young girl had terror in her eyes, tear-streaked cheeks, and was sobbing softly, her delicate shoulders trembling violently. Her skirt had a large tear, revealing her white, delicate shoulder blades.

And looking at the still smoldering desire in Zhao Xinggu’s eyes, even a fool could guess what had just happened.

"Stop!" As Zhao Xinggu reached out towards Ruan Zhi right in front of her, Han Yan shouted angrily.

Zhao Xinggu seemed taken aback by Han Yan’s sudden anger.

"Master Priest!" Hearing Han Yan’s shout, Ruan Zhi came back to her senses, rushing into Han Yan’s embrace like a wounded fawn, her soft sobs turning into loud wails.
