My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively

Chapter 841: Summer Shawcross Is Close to Tears, Unable to Speak Her Sorrows…

Looking at her face full of resistance to the steamed fish, Noah Drexler was somewhat surprised, so he tasted the fish she had just picked up.

But once in his mouth, the taste was quite normal; the fish meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, and there wasn’t any trace of oddity.

Noah glanced at her and suddenly put down his chopsticks, asking her quietly.

“Shall we order some other dishes?”

“Forget it, I’ll just eat some vegetables.”

Maybe she’s eaten too many nutritional meals lately, causing her to have an aversion to meat.

Thinking of this, she shifted her gaze to the vegetables on the table, picked some up with chopsticks, and tasted a bite, finding it quite good.

“The vegetables are pretty tasty.”

Seeing her enjoy the vegetables, Noah said nothing, presumably thinking the housekeeper had stewed too many supplemental soups for her, leading to some changes in her taste.

…

The past few days, Summer Shawcross has had a poor appetite, barely able to eat any of the nutritional meals and various stews prepared by the housekeeper.

She’s getting by mostly on vegetables and fruits, and seeing her poor appetite, the housekeeper is worried, busily contacting a traditional Chinese medicine doctor to regulate her body.

In response, Summer Shawcross protested, not wanting to drink herbal medicine.

But the housekeeper said, to quickly get pregnant, she should endure.

Summer Shawcross felt like crying without tears, unable to express her bitterness…

That afternoon, Summer Shawcross was lounging in her bedroom, listening to music while munching on a tomato.

The phone next to her suddenly rang.

She picked up the phone to see it was Wendy Linden calling.

“Hello,” Summer Shawcross answered the call, putting the phone to her ear.

As soon as her voice sounded, Wendy Linden’s excited and thrilled voice suddenly came through the phone.

“Summer, I saw a meteor shower last night, and it was several!”

Listening to her excited words, Summer Shawcross was baffled, completely unaware of why she was so thrilled.

Had she never seen a meteor?

“So, then…” She couldn’t help but ask.

Additionally, Wendy Linden’s voice, curious with a touch of mystery, soon came over the phone.

“Do you think it’s signaling something? Does it mean something unusual is going to happen in the coming days?”

Listening to Wendy Linden’s words, Summer Shawcross paused her tomato-eating motion, revealing an expression of helplessness.

Here we go again…

Does she still believe that there are people in this world who can predict the future?

“That’s just meteorites falling…” Summer Shawcross sighed, only able to tell her the truth.

She’s starting to regret, thinking why did she ever talk about things like stargazing that led Wendy Linden to believe those things without suspicion.

She calls every few days seeking advice, which Summer Shawcross finds utterly helpless.

“I know they’re meteorites, but I think, since they fell at that time, they must be hinting something!” Wendy Linden stubbornly said, still unwilling to give up.

After Wendy Linden finished speaking, Summer Shawcross was amused yet speechless…

She really didn’t know how to explain it to her.

“Ah, anyway, I can’t explain clearly over the phone. How about this, I come to your house, sound good? I recorded a video; you’re skilled, see if you can spot anything…” Wendy Linden’s voice again came through the phone.
