My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 855 - 849: Mr. Long, Congratulations, You’re Going to Be a Dad (10,000-Word Special)
As Noah Drexler finished speaking, the butler was momentarily stunned, glancing around before noticing the little creature in Summer Shawcross’s arms, at which point a look of alarm appeared on his face.
"Madam, you’re pregnant, how can you hold a dog!" The butler hurried over, reaching out to take the puppy from her arms.
Seeing this, Summer instinctively took a step back, warily eyeing the butler.
"I don’t care, I want to keep it!" she pouted and said.
The butler looked helpless and had to gently persuade her.
"Madam, it’s better to give it to me. Raising such a creature in the house, running around and making noise everywhere, really is a bit of a hassle."
"In such a large place, what’s the problem with having a dog?" Summer glanced at the butler but spoke with a hint of discontent.
Seeing that Summer was unwilling to let go, the butler could only helplessly turn to look at Noah Drexler.
Noah stared at her for a moment, eventually hardening his heart and saying.
"Summer, throw it out!"
Upon hearing Noah’s words, for once Summer didn’t say anything, suddenly growing silent.
Just as the butler thought she had compromised and was about to reach out to take the dog back...
Summer, holding the dog, headed straight for the door, seriously saying as she walked.
"Ah, little cutie, let’s go wander together."
As her words fell, everyone was shocked, and Noah’s expression suddenly changed.
"Come back!" he shouted, looking at the departing figure of the woman, his face showing a few more shades of anger.
Did she want to drive him mad?
Hearing Noah’s words, Summer had no intention of stopping; instead, she continued walking towards the outside.
"..." Noah’s face turned pale.
At that moment, the snow outside was still falling heavily.
When she reached the doorway, the servant hurriedly came over with an umbrella for her.
Just as she was about to step out, her arm was suddenly grasped from behind.
"Summer!" His voice, a mix of anger and helplessness, suddenly rang out.
Seeing this, Summer finally stopped her steps, slowly turned her head, glanced at the man in front of her, and then bit her lip, saying seriously to him.
"As long as the dog is here, so am I!" What was originally meant to be a serious statement somehow sounded rather amusing.
If he was going to throw away this dog, then he might as well throw her away too.
Throwing this small, injured dog back out into the cold would be no different from killing it!
After Summer finished speaking, Noah’s expression had frozen, and he lowered his gaze, staring at her for a moment, completely at a loss with her.
Seeing Noah silent, Summer turned her head to look at him and couldn’t help but ask again.
"Can I keep it?" She blinked, her face looking innocent.
But everyone could tell that the underlying meaning of her words was that if he dared say no, she would immediately leave with the dog!
Her words were already put to the point, could he still refuse her?!
He thought, she must be his nemesis, always accurately hitting his weak points!
Noah was silent for a long time before finally moving his Adam’s apple and suddenly speaking to her.
"You can keep it, but... it can’t come near me!"
He hated dogs.
Seeing that he finally agreed, Summer’s face immediately lit up with a smile, quickly turning around and happily saying to him,
"That’s great, thank you, hubby!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she turned around and, holding the puppy, headed back into the house.
Noah stood frozen at the door, watching the young woman who had so confidently declared her intention to be a good wife and mother just a moment ago, feeling suddenly a bit of a headache.
A person who in no time would become a mother seemed even more like a child herself.
...
Seeing Summer finally return, the butler quickly stepped forward, wanting to take the puppy from her arms.
"Madam, hand it over to me."
Only then did Summer reluctantly hand the puppy over to the butler, who took it in his arms, glanced around, and suddenly turned to Summer, asking for her opinion.
"Let’s settle it on the first floor. I’ll make it a nest later."
Upon hearing this, Summer nodded, and then suddenly recalling something, she spoke to the butler.
"I’m going to find something to make a nest for it."
Hearing her say this, the butler looked surprised and was just about to ask what she intended to use to make a nest for the dog when Summer unexpectedly turned and went upstairs.
Watching her hurriedly go up the stairs, Noah frowned, suddenly feeling an uneasy premonition.
It wasn’t long before the woman, who had gone upstairs to find something for the dog’s bed, came back down holding a black down jacket.
"Summer, that’s mine!" Noah was glaring at the down jacket in her hands, his handsome face showing an expression that suddenly turned unpleasant.
Hearing Noah’s voice, Summer stopped in her tracks, slightly embarrassed.
She hadn’t expected that he would recognize it as his jacket. She always thought he never paid any attention to these clothes because she had never seen him wear a down jacket.
"Your clothes all look the same anyway, keeping them around is a waste, so just donate one to it," Summer glanced at the black down jacket in her arms and pouted as she said.
Besides, she had never seen him wear a down jacket in winter, so leaving it lying around was a waste, not serving any purpose. It would be better to let her use it for something useful.
Listening to her bandit-like logic, Noah for a moment found himself speechless.
Yet the bandit herself didn’t wait for his response, merely informing him and then proceeded, holding the down jacket, to walk towards the butler to make a dog bed.
Noah lifted a hand to his forehead, suddenly feeling a headache.
Summer, holding the down jacket, approached the butler and asked her.
"This should be warm enough, right."
The butler looked at the down jacket in Summer’s arms, then glanced at Noah not far off, feeling somewhat amused.
Perhaps only the madam could make the sir show such an expression. This house has changed tremendously from the beginning until now.
The Hillside Villa was now lively and bustling thanks to the madam, which made her feel quite comforted.
"What’s wrong, isn’t it enough?" Seeing the butler suddenly laugh, Summer’s face couldn’t help but show a puzzled look.
