My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 854 - 849: Mr. Long, Congratulations—You’re Going to Be a Father (10,000-Word Special Chapter)
"..." Observing this scene, Katherine Irving was a bit embarrassed, thinking, wasn’t she supposed to not be afraid of the boss?
Only after hiding the puppy well did Summer Shawcross lift her head and glance at the man coming down the stairs.
"Why did you come back so early today?" She pursed her lips and couldn’t help but ask.
Noah Drexler didn’t respond to her question. Instead, he walked down the stairs with long strides, came right in front of her, and then stopped.
He lowered his gaze, his eyes swept over the bulge in her arms, then squinted and asked her.
"What are you hiding?"
The moment the man spoke, Summer Shawcross froze for a second.
She suddenly laughed and then earnestly said.
"Nothing, this is a warm pack given to me by the housekeeper, it’s warmer in my arms."
A warm pack? Hearing Summer say this, Noah Drexler lowered his gaze, glanced at the bulge in her arms, and his handsome face showed a doubtful expression.
"I’m a bit tired, I’ll go upstairs to rest first." Worried that Noah Drexler would see something, Summer laughed and then turned, ready to go upstairs.
But just as she stepped onto the stairs, the little fellow in her arms, perhaps feeling stuffy, suddenly barked.
"Woof!"
The bark almost made Summer slip, and she immediately felt speechless.
At this moment, behind her, Noah Drexler’s handsome face darkened completely upon hearing the dog’s bark.
"Summer Shawcross, take it out!" The man’s extremely serious voice rang out behind her.
He frowned deeply, looking displeased at the bold woman in front of him.
She really has nerve, hiding a dog on her person; isn’t she afraid of being bitten?
Seeing she was caught, Summer Shawcross sighed, resigned herself, turned around, and slowly walked back. Then she unzipped her down jacket and took out the little yellow-brown puppy from inside.
As Noah Drexler’s gaze fell on the puppy in her arms, his expression worsened.
"Throw it out!"
"I want to keep it!"
Noah Drexler and Summer Shawcross spoke at the same time.
They both paused for a moment, Noah Drexler’s brow furrowed tightly.
She wants to keep a dog?
Seriously holding the puppy tightly, Summer Shawcross looked at Noah Drexler and repeated!
"Noah, I want to keep it."
Seeing her seriousness, Noah Drexler’s expression darkened, glancing at the dog in her arms, with obvious disdain on his face.
He hates dogs, hates them very much!
Seeing Noah Drexler’s grim expression and pursed lips, Summer Shawcross seized the opportunity to continue persuading him, trying to sway his thoughts.
"Look how nice it is, let’s keep it, and when it grows up, it can accompany the baby, isn’t that great?"
Saying this, she lifted the puppy and walked towards him.
"Noah, look, it’s really obedient."
But just at the moment she approached him with the dog, Noah Drexler, who had never backed off from her even during a fall, suddenly... stepped back two steps!
Seeing this, Summer Shawcross was somewhat surprised, then looked incredulously at Noah Drexler.
His expression wasn’t good.
She paused, looked from Noah Drexler to the puppy in her arms.
The next second, as if discovering something novel, she asked Noah Drexler excitedly.
"Could it be... you’re afraid of dogs?" Her eyes widened, face filled with disbelief.
It’s hard to imagine, fearless Noah Drexler is afraid of a little puppy?
Does he hate dogs because he’s afraid of them?
Once Summer spoke, Noah Drexler’s face visibly turned even uglier.
"Did I hit the mark?" His reaction made Summer Shawcross find it amusing, prompting her to ask again.
Noah Drexler’s expression showed some awkwardness, he glanced at her, then impatiently said.
"Summer Shawcross, you’re so talkative!"
At this moment, the housekeeper rushed into the lobby, looking puzzled and asked.
"What’s going on?"
Seeing the housekeeper arrive, Noah Drexler’s expression returned to his usual seriousness, he glanced at the puppy in Summer’s arms and then instructed the housekeeper with pursed lips.
"Throw that ugly thing out!"
