Chapter 534: Chapter 446: The Loli’s Jade Feet, Xiong Batian Actually…

One-tailed’s cheeks had always been chubby, as pink and tender as a newborn baby’s. Even to the most ferocious beast, she was a naturally adorable treasure.

Her body was like a sculpture of exquisite pink jade, a piece of priceless porcelain. Take her little feet, for example. They were so pink and tender, with slightly reddish soles, and her toes were like a cluster of pearls—utterly adorable. And just like the Nine-tailed Fox’s original body, these feet would never be sullied even if she walked on a muddy path.

Moreover, her feet carried a milky fragrance with a hint of sweetness that was a delight to the senses. Xiong Batian had long grown accustomed to how small they were.

However, she was always extremely careful every time she sniffed them. She was a bear, after all, and not a small one. She was afraid of accidentally biting them if she wasn’t careful. Although it wouldn’t truly injure the high-realm Sister One-tailed, she was still deeply worried that her teeth might leave a scratch.

Fortunately, One-tailed was a very tolerant girl. She didn’t mind the bear sniffing her feet and even found it rather amusing. The two of them got along quite well.

And so, over time, as the sniffing continued, One-tailed started calling Xiong Batian “Ah Xiong,” while Xiong Batian called her “Sister One-tailed.”

‘Although, in terms of age, I’m already quite old,’ Xiong Batian thought, ‘One-tailed is technically just a little over three. Her personality is rather shy, and she really is like a pure, sheltered child who has never seen the world. But her realm and status are undeniable.’

‘She’s the first avatar of the Nine-tailed Fox, at the Perfect Transformation Realm, and a Great Demon close to Jiang Qiu. Of course I have to address her more respectfully. Besides, she seems to like being called ‘Sister,’ it sounds affectionate.’

Speaking of which, although the souls of the Nine-tailed Fox and One-tailed were shared, allowing them to transmit many things to each other—even their sense of touch—they could also choose not to share at times.

Sharing was an innate Talent, not a requirement. Their soul-consciousnesses were inherently different; you could say they were two sides of the same person. Naturally, One-tailed couldn’t let someone sniffing her feet affect the main body’s cultivation.

One-tailed also realized that Xiong Batian was a female bear, yet Jiang Qiu had given her such a majestic name…

“Sister One-tailed, they just don’t understand me. I am simply loyal to Master,” Xiong Batian explained. “I can’t let this small fry get in the way of the mission Master gave me!”

She was single-mindedly focused on completing her master’s mission: to carry One-tailed on her back to a Great Dominator’s territory, eliminate them, and then take all their resources, like Spirit Fruits.

Since Jiang Qiu was riding the Nine-tailed Fox, their speed was far greater than hers. She couldn’t afford any delays, which was why she had ignored those other demons.

Normally—like during the three years Jiang Qiu and the Nine-tailed Fox were in seclusion for their cultivation—if she had come out and encountered this small fry, she definitely would have beaten them up to assert the Nine-tailed Fox’s authority.

If they really refused to listen, she would just eat them as an appetizer.

To be frank, the reason she had advanced from the Early Stage to the Perfection Stage of the Spirit Control Realm in just two or three years, bringing her just one step from the next realm, was because she had eaten a great many demons.

Most of them were Great Demons who had opened their Spirit Veins, and even quite a few Dominators at the Spirit Control Realm. Their Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm was incredibly rich, so she absorbed a great deal of it and converted it into her own cultivation.

Perhaps this was the path of her Talent—devouring other demons allowed her to efficiently absorb their Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm, resulting in rapid cultivation. However, she herself had only vaguely realized that eating things helped her cultivate quickly; she didn’t know the specific reason why.

‘This is pretty great,’ she thought. ‘But I wonder… what does a Great Dominator above the Spirit Control Realm taste like? If I could get a piece of a leg, could I break through to the next realm? Would I comprehend an even deeper Talent?’

“Hehe, Ah Xiong, are you thinking about eating again?” One-tailed said, hugging her thick neck. Her little fangs peeked out, looking both childish and cute. “Your Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm is getting a little restless.”

She was already quite familiar with Xiong Batian and had basically figured out all her habits. After all, this was just a local Bear Demon who had followed Jiang Qiu for a while. What kind of worldly experience could she possibly have?

Before, she had been crammed into a small territory where she had her Spiritual Awakening. Then, she gradually drove out the weaker demons who hadn’t had their awakening, hunting for food and slowly growing up. Later, her territory was carved up by other demons until she was left with almost nothing. She was starving, never able to get a full meal.

Until one day, Jiang Qiu descended like a god from the heavens. He saved the weak and helpless bear, taking her with him on his journey and letting her eat many wonderful things she had never tasted before.

She still remembered her first meal: a piece of thigh meat from a giant wolf Great Demon. Even though it was only the size of a single thigh, she ate it with great relish and felt like she had never been so full in her entire life.

Yes, just a single piece of thigh meat had made her blissfully happy. She had secretly wiped away tears at the time, but Jiang Qiu hadn’t noticed. He had been studying something much deeper, seeming curious about the makeup of this world or something. She hadn’t understood it.

Then, Jiang Qiu had her take a bath in the giant wolf’s blood. And just like that, the Spirit Vein she had longed for in her dreams, craved for so many years, was opened.

She officially began her journey of cultivation. To have the ability to cultivate was to have the ability to fight other powerful demons for food.

After that, carrying Jiang Qiu on her back, she crossed through the territories of other demons one by one. She ate many Great Demons who had opened their Spirit Veins, and even more Dominator Level Great Demons of the Spirit Control Realm!

Jiang Qiu never let her go hungry. Every time he killed a demon, he would give her a piece of thigh meat. And that thigh meat was not to be underestimated. The Great Demons were of a much higher level than she was at the time, so even a single piece of thigh meat contained an incredibly dense amount of Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm. It was enough to sustain her for over half a month without eating, and her realm still rose rapidly.

All the way to the White Mist Forest, where they met the Nine-tailed Fox, Xiong Batian felt that she was living a blissful life. There was no danger. She carried an unrivaled master on her back, and she never had to fight herself; her master would tear any enemy to shreds.

Life like that was truly wonderful. But after her master took in the Nine-tailed Fox, she grew afraid. She suddenly realized that the speed she had been so proud of was no match for the fox’s. Her own rapid pace of improvement couldn’t compare, and the difference in their realms was like that between heaven and earth.

What level was the Nine-tailed Fox on?

When they first met, she was already one of the Eight Great Dominators, a being who had stood firm for a thousand years. She was the strongest in this territory; only the True Dominator, the Golden Eagle, was above her. But to the demons below, the Golden Eagle was a distant, almost non-existent figure. This meant that the Nine-tailed Fox was, for all intents and purposes, the Super Great Demon that every demon knew of.

And even under these circumstances, with just a bit of guidance from Jiang Qiu, she had entered the Transformation Realm, gaining a form similar to their master’s. The two of them could even cultivate together, and she had received a Secret Technique.

Xiong Batian was truly envious, but she knew she was no match for the Nine-tailed Fox at the moment. That Talent, that realm, that personality—they all seemed to be what her master favored.

It was only natural to be gradually neglected over the past three years. For her kind, value was what mattered most. That’s why she desperately wanted to improve her abilities through constant battle, hoping to evolve quickly to a point where her master would have use for her again.

If she could, she desperately wished she could also achieve Transformation and take on a form her master liked—or at least one that was more pleasing to his eye!

But that was incredibly difficult. Forget the Nine-tailed Fox’s main body; even her avatar, the little girl One-tailed on her back, was so far beyond her reach.

Fortunately, although this Sister One-tailed was incredibly strong, she didn’t have the innate arrogance common to most of the Demon Race. She was much easier to get along with, and even allowed her to sniff her fragrant little feet…

“Sister One-tailed, I want to improve so badly.”

“Okay,” One-tailed chirped. “After I kill the first Great Dominator, I’ll give you all the meat to eat~”
