A long silence stretched between Yuan and Lilith as they sat together without saying a word. However, it wasn’t because they disliked each other or anything of the sort.

Yuan simply found it awkward to start a conversation with Lilith, as her natural charm made it difficult for him to remain completely at ease.

Whenever he looked at her, he felt an inexplicable attraction that made it difficult to maintain his usual calm composure.

’Damn it... If she keeps lingering around me, it’s going to become increasingly difficult to ignore her approach... What have I gotten myself into?’ he complained inwardly while trying his best to remain composed.

Meanwhile, Lilith found herself in a similar situation, struggling to maintain her calm demeanor.

’No matter how strong these feelings are, I have to stay in control... I don’t want to ruin this opportunity by acting recklessly. I need to win him over naturally rather than rushing things.’ she thought to herself, making her intentions clear in her own mind.

She didn’t want Yuan to become uncomfortable around her or begin distancing himself. After all, even a small mistake could undo all the progress she hoped to make.

’I’ll make him grow closer to me naturally. Only then can I move forward. For now, I need to earn his trust before doing anything else,’ she thought as she stole a brief glance at his handsome face.

’First, I need to break this awkward silence between us.’

After gathering her courage, she gently placed her hand over his and offered him a warm smile before speaking.

"Yuan, I know you’re planning to leave the Demonic Continent. How much longer are you planning to stay here?"

Yuan’s body tensed slightly the moment he felt her soft hand resting on his, but he didn’t pull away.

"I plan to stay at the palace for a few more days before returning to the Human Continent," Yuan replied with a smile.

"So soon..." Lilith muttered softly, unable to hide the disappointment in her voice.

"Can’t you stay a little longer? I’ve barely had the chance to get to know you, and you’re already talking about leaving."

Yuan let out a dry laugh before replying, "Unfortunately, I’ve already stayed longer than originally planned. There’s something very important I need to take care of on the Human Continent."

"Because of that, I can’t really stay here for more than a few more days," he explained with a soft sigh.

"I see..." Lilith sighed as well, feeling genuinely disappointed after learning how soon he intended to leave.

A moment later, she rose from the bench and looked at Yuan with a smile.

"Well then, let’s head back to the banquet before people start looking for us."

"Sure. Let’s go," Yuan replied with a nod as he stood up.

The two of them then returned to the palace and made their way back into the banquet hall, where the celebration was still in full swing and the guests continued enjoying themselves.

"Let’s meet tomorrow morning. What do you think?" Lilith asked as they entered the hall.

"I don’t see any problem with that," Yuan replied.

The moment Lilith heard his answer, a bright smile blossomed across her face, drawing countless curious and envious glances from nearby guests.

"Great! Then let’s meet tomorrow morning. I’ll be waiting for you in the garden, so don’t forget to come," she said enthusiastically before walking away.

"I’ll keep that in mind," Yuan muttered softly as he watched her leave before turning his attention toward finding his wives.

With his extremely sharp senses, it was effortless for Yuan to locate them.

’So, they were keeping an eye on me the entire time I was with Lilith... They’re really possessive, especially Mom...’ Yuan thought as he walked toward them.

"Look who finally decided to come back to us after spending a sweet moment with another woman..." Lily said in a sarcastic tone the moment she noticed Yuan approaching.

"Oh? Isn’t this the shameless man who abandoned his wives just to spend time with a succubus? Now I wonder why he suddenly decided to come back to us..." Anna Grace added, glancing at Yuan before letting out a cold snort.

Aisha immediately joined in. "Maybe that succubus got tired of him and left him behind. Otherwise, why would he come back to us?"

"Indeed. That must be it. She probably discovered just how shameless he really is," Julie added with a playful smile, openly criticizing Yuan.

Listening to their remarks, Yuan felt a headache coming on. They had been spying on him the entire time, and they had even given him permission to go, yet now they were all teasing him.

’This can’t be happening to me...’ he sighed inwardly, feeling completely betrayed.

"So, what exactly did you talk about with her?" Valeria asked with a huge smirk on her face.

"Nothing in particular. She simply apologized for the way she treated me back at her castle," Yuan replied with a smile.

"Is that so...? I thought she was trying to seduce you. It seems I was wrong about her intentions," Valeria muttered thoughtfully.

Some time later, Nerith finally arrived after finishing her greetings with the important guests attending the banquet.

"Let’s leave. I’m tired of greeting people I don’t even want to talk to. It’s exhausting," she said upon arrival, looking thoroughly annoyed.

Yuan and the others didn’t question her decision and quietly followed her out of the banquet hall.

Nerith led them back to their room, and once everyone was inside, she shut the door and locked it to prevent anyone from disturbing them.

"Being a princess seems quite troublesome," Yuan chuckled softly as he sat down on the bed and looked at her.

"You have no idea... Those arrogant old fools are so shameless that they make me want to punch them in the face," Nerith replied as she dropped onto a sofa beside the bed.

"Did they say something that upset you that much?" Lily asked curiously.

"Those ungrateful fools were trying to set me up with their heirs. I wanted to punch every one of them in the face, but since it was a celebration, I managed to restrain myself."

"If it had been any other occasion, I would have personally thrown them out of the palace and made sure they never bothered me again."

"I see... So that’s what happened. No wonder you look so furious," Lily nodded in understanding.

If Lily had been in Nerith’s position, the banquet would probably have descended into complete chaos by now.

"You handled everything wonderfully, Nerith... unlike someone else here," she said while casting a pointed glance toward Yuan, her expression filled with annoyance.

"..."

Yuan blinked in confusion, completely caught off guard by the sudden accusation.

"Why are you dragging me into this, Mom?" he complained, only to receive a cold sneer from Anna Grace in response.

"Oh? Are you talking back to me now?" She frowned at him, causing him to immediately fall silent.

Yuan didn’t even dare look directly into her eyes as he lowered his head. He knew that if he provoked her any further, Anna Grace would definitely make him regret it.

Furthermore, he had no desire to get scolded by his mother for no reason at all. Thus, he decided to remain silent and use a simple method to calm her down.

"Well, I’m going to take a bath now," he said as he got up from the bed and looked at Anna Grace. "Mom, do you want to join me?"

"Oh? Now you finally remember me... Fine, I’ll be generous and join you," she replied in a cold voice, though inwardly she was quite pleased.

’Hehe, let’s keep up the act for now...’ She followed after him with a faint smile hidden behind her calm expression.

Lily noticed the look on her mother’s face, shook her head, and let out a deep sigh.

"I just hope my idiot brother can survive whatever Mom has planned for him..." she muttered in a low voice, feeling somewhat jealous that her mother had Yuan all to herself again.

"Why? Is she really that violent when she’s angry?" Nerith asked with a puzzled expression, suddenly becoming concerned for Yuan’s safety.

"Violent? You don’t understand how possessive she can be... But right now, she’s mostly putting on an act to make my dear brother do what she wants," Lily explained.

’This family is really strange... Still, I suppose he’ll be fine...’ Nerith thought, letting out a relieved sigh after realizing that Anna Grace wasn’t actually planning to punish Yuan.

"To think that our beloved is afraid of his mother... How adorable..." Isolde chuckled softly, finding the situation rather amusing.

"It’s just that he loves her a little too much... So much so that he can’t even sleep properly without her nearby."

"Is that so...? So they’re practically inseparable."

"Pretty much... Unless a beautiful woman gets involved," Emma added with a smile.

Meanwhile, inside the bathroom, Yuan quietly changed into more comfortable clothes and stepped into the large bathtub filled with warm water.

He leaned back against the edge of the tub and relaxed his body before glancing toward Anna Grace as she entered the bath area as well.

However, her expression remained cold and unreadable.

She then stepped into the tub and settled down beside him without saying a word.

"Hmm... The water feels so warm and relaxing..." she muttered as she closed her eyes, finally allowing herself to unwind after the long and exhausting day.
