Chapter 974: Long Yuyan Is A Array Master
After learning about the ceremony, Yuan returned to his wives, who had all gathered in the training room where Nerith used to train by herself in the past.
His wives were sparring against one another to identify their shortcomings and improve upon them. After all, even the slightest opening could determine the outcome of a battle.
The training room was filled with the sounds of combat by the time Yuan entered, and cracks could be seen scattered across the floor.
As soon as his wives noticed his arrival, they stopped their training and surrounded him from all directions.
"I can smell the scent of that succubus on you... What were you doing with that vixen?" Emma asked with a deep frown on her face, her voice noticeably colder than usual.
Yuan sighed, knowing there was no point in trying to lie to them, so he decided to be honest.
"I met her in the garden a little while ago. We only talked casually for a short time before I went to meet Nerith and Isolde."
"And while I was there, I learned that tomorrow the leaders of each nation are planning to pay their respects to the fallen soldiers. They’ve already begun constructing a memorial site outside the empire."
"A location that will be easily accessible to every nation—a completely neutral place where the fallen soldiers can rest peacefully," Yuan explained to his wives, recounting what he had learned during his visit to the garden.
"Hmm, do you think we should attend the ceremony?" Mireya asked, narrowing her eyes slightly at Yuan.
"I don’t have any particular interest in participating directly. However, I have no objections to observing it from a distance," Yuan replied calmly.
"How about we set up a formation at the memorial site?" Leah suggested.
"And why do you think that?" Julie asked curiously.
Leah thought for a moment before answering, "Well, it could serve as a protective barrier to keep troublemakers away. We could also install a formation that helps calm the minds of visitors."
"Hmm... A formation, huh?" Yuan muttered as he considered the idea. "However, the problem is that none of us actually knows how to set one up."
Up until now, they had only been using array talismans that already contained formations created by array masters. However, those talismans could only be used once and were incapable of lasting for long periods.
"I can help you set up an array formation. In case you’re wondering, I’m a fourth-level Array Master."
Suddenly, a voice echoed from the corner of the room. Turning around, they saw Lady Long Yuyan looking at them with a proud grin on her face.
"You’re an Array Master? A fourth-level Array Master at that? Why didn’t you tell us earlier?" Yuan looked at her in surprise. He had never expected her to possess such expertise.
His wives wore similar expressions. They had an Array Master among them all this time, yet none of them had known about it.
Lady Long Yuyan merely chuckled softly before replying, "You never asked, so I never told you. It’s as simple as that."
After hearing her response, Yuan could only let out a helpless sigh. In the end, it was his own fault for never asking about her specialties.
After calming himself, Yuan asked, "What kind of materials would you need to create a Level 3 array formation?"
"Level 3 formations don’t require many materials aside from a few hundred Spirit Stones. And since this world lacks cultivators, a Level 3 formation will be more than sufficient to protect the memorial site," she replied without hesitation.
And she continued, "Unless you don’t have the Spirit Stones with you, we don’t have any problem with creating the formation."
"I have plenty of Spirit Stones with me. You don’t have to worry about anything." Yuan replied with a smile.
"I see...Then, all I have to do is create the formation and set it up." She responded with a smile.
Knowing Yuan’s absurd strength and his mysterious background, she wasn’t surprised at the fact that Yuan had Spirit Stones with him.
In fact, she would be surprised if Yuan doesn’t have any considering how high his cultivation is considering that this world lacks the knowledge of cultivation.
"So, what should we do today since the ceremony will be held tomorrow? It’s kind of boring to stay in this palace the whole day and do nothing." Julie asked.
Indeed. The palace is too boring to spend the entire day in and do nothing, and the entire city looks boring as well since they have visited all the places.
"We should focus on our cultivation a bit more seriously." Anna Grace said with a serious look on her face.
"Once we leave this continent we will be facing the entire High Heaven...and we have to fight thousands of strong people who have been after us."
"Aside from a few of us, most of our cultivation is still quite low to face such a powerful force. It’s best that we focus on increasing our cultivation level as fast as possible before we leave this continent."
And she continued, "And besides, this continent has an abundance of Spiritual Energy compared to the other continents. Thus, we must take the advantage of the resources and prepare ourselves well."
"I agree. Miss Anna Grace here is right on this approach," Long Yuyan nodded her head with a smile and continued.
"I don’t know about the other continent but as cultivators, we must take advantage of every opportunity we get."
"The Spiritual Energy here could even support an Immortal Realm powerhouse. And you never know when an opportunity like this will strike again. My advice is to take as much advantage as possible."
"I’ll set up a Spirit Gathering Array and a Mind Clearing Array in this training room for us to cultivate. This will significantly increase the cultivation speed by up to ten times." She said with a smile before she walked up to Yuan.
She stretched her hand forward, and said, "Take out exactly one thousand Spirit Stone. I’ll immediately set up the arrays to boost our cultivation."
Yuan nodded his head and immediately brought out a spatial ring containing exactly one thousand high-grade Spirit Stones from his system storage.
’What?! He has high-grade Spirit Stones with him?! This is quite unbelievable...’ Long Yuyan was shocked to see the Spirit Stones inside the ring.
But she calmed her mind and placed the Spirit Stones at the center of the room before she began to write thousands of symbols in the air at an incredibly fast speed.
It was like she was weaving a net with the symbols, as more and more symbols began to arrange themselves in an order, creating two layers that covered the entire room.
She finished creating the arrays in just a few minutes, astonishing everyone in the room with her mastery over the array.
"I’m done creating the arrays. All we need to do is activate them." She informed them before she a
ctivated the array.
The Spirit Stones were gradually absorbed by the arrays as they came to life. Almost immediately, the Spiritual Energy within the room began to thicken at a rapid pace.
"It’s done. We can now cultivate inside the arrays," Long Yuyan said with a proud grin on her face.
Using his Divine Sense to observe the invisible formations, Yuan was surprised by how quickly the Spiritual Energy within the room had become dense.
"Thank you for creating the formations, Miss Yuyan," Yuan said gratefully before sitting down on the floor in a lotus position.
"There’s no need to thank me. I did this for myself as well," Long Yuyan replied before taking a lotus position of her own.
The others followed suit, sitting down and gently closing their eyes before circulating their cultivation techniques and absorbing the Spiritual Energy around them.
Thanks to the formations, their minds entered a state of perfect clarity, and their absorption rate increased dramatically. As a result, their cultivation speed became several times faster than normal.
An entire day passed as they cultivated within the arrays, and one by one, they began opening their eyes after achieving satisfying results.
’So this is what it feels like to reach the peak of the Spirit King Realm... Simply incredible!’ Yuan smiled as he felt the powerful energy flowing throughout his body.
He then turned his attention toward Long Yuyan, who appeared to be on the verge of a breakthrough. Powerful waves of energy were radiating from her body, causing the surrounding air to tremble slightly.
’Just how many levels did she break through? And what realm is she about to enter now?’ Yuan wondered as he watched her with curiosity.
However, he remained completely still and didn’t utter a single word, unwilling to disturb her breakthrough.
Instead, he silently observed as she attempted to reach the next realm.
Whoosh!
A few moments later, Long Yuyan successfully shattered the barrier that had been preventing her from advancing further.
Yuan could immediately sense the profound aura surrounding her, confirming that she had successfully broken through.
A few seconds later, Long Yuyan slowly opened her eyes and noticed Yuan watching her with a smile, causing a faint blush to appear on her face.
No matter how proud a dragon might be, seeing Yuan smiling at her caused her heart to stir slightly despite her usually cold and reserved nature.
The two quietly left the room without saying a word, careful not to disturb the others who were still deeply immersed in cultivation.
"Congratulations on your breakthrough, Miss Yuyan," Yuan said after they stepped outside the training room.
"Congratulations to you as well, Yuan," she replied with a smile.
