Chapter 673: Delivering Experience and Madness Value?

Yi Tianyun looked at Wei Feizhou but didn’t agree immediately. He just watched him coolly, then picked up his fine wine and took a slow sip.

Wei Feizhou didn’t get up. He remained kneeling, not daring to rise.

After a moment, Yi Tianyun finally spoke slowly, “You want to talk about your disciple, don’t you?”

“Yes. I know Rongkun’s talent is good, but as his master, I’m unable to teach him well. I wish for you, Young Master, to take him as a servant. I’m not asking for him to be a disciple; just being able to follow you is more than enough.”

In such a short time, Wei Feizhou had made such a huge decision—to have He Rongkun follow Yi Tianyun. He was truly decisive, essentially letting He Rongkun go.

He Rongkun now had Martial Arts and a weapon; he basically didn’t need to beg anyone for anything. Yet Wei Feizhou still wanted He Rongkun to become a servant, which was truly surprising.

When Wei Feizhou knelt, Yi Tianyun already knew what he wanted to say. Having experienced many things, he had guessed it the moment the man knelt.

“Are you really willing to part with him?” Yi Tianyun asked calmly.

“For Rongkun to follow you, Young Master, is the fortune of a lifetime! He can’t advance any further with me, but by your side, he can still improve.” Wei Feizhou said sincerely, “Whether it’s influence or resources, I can’t provide them. In truth, I’m just a Loose Cultivator. I saw you praise him earlier, Young Master, so I boldly made this request. I implore you to agree!”

He was very perceptive and had keen insight, knowing what choice to make. If he missed this opportunity, he didn’t know when another would come.

Martial Arts, weapons—none of that mattered to him. Being able to stay by Yi Tianyun’s side was the greatest security of all!

He even gave away a Sacred Artifact so casually. This meant he could casually give away even more powerful weapons in the future. As long as they could work for Yi Tianyun, what benefits would they lack?

Wei Feizhou immediately knew what to do. That’s why he would rather his disciple follow Yi Tianyun than stay with him.

“He is indeed good, but I don’t have time right now. How about this: give me an address. After I’ve taken care of my business, I’ll come find you.” Yi Tianyun felt that He Rongkun was indeed promising. If he could recruit him, he would definitely become a rising star in the Empire!

He Rongkun was like a fine piece of jade, needing only a bit of polishing to become an extremely precious gem. It was just that Yi Tianyun had too much on his plate right now, so he didn’t say more.

Since Wei Feizhou had put it that way, accepting him as a subordinate was a good choice.

“Thank you, Young Master!” Wei Feizhou kowtowed excitedly. To go this far for his disciple, he could be considered a very competent master.

Or rather, how was this just a master? He was already like a father, finding a better sect for his child to secure a brighter future.

“A teacher for a day is a father for a lifetime.” This must be the principle at work.

“Of course, you should come with me as well when the time comes. Since you’re both Loose Cultivators with no faction, it’s fine.” Yi Tianyun didn’t intend to leave Wei Feizhou behind. Taking one more person back with him wasn’t a problem.

“Th-This, is this real?!” Wei Feizhou was ecstatic. He had thought Yi Tianyun would only take He Rongkun, but who knew he would be taken along as well.

He had no Potential to speak of. No matter how hard he struggled in the future, this was about as far as he could go, unless he encountered some incredible stroke of luck.

“Do you think I’m lying?” Yi Tianyun said calmly.

“No, of course not…” Wei Feizhou said apologetically. “I just find it hard to believe. My abilities are lacking; being able to follow you, Young Master, is something I never could have imagined.”

“For those who can serve me sincerely, I never look at Potential. I only look at the heart,” Yi Tianyun said with a faint smile.

‘What’s the point of great talent without loyalty?’

“I will be absolutely loyal and will never bring shame to you, Young Master!” Wei Feizhou kowtowed a few more times, his inner excitement plain on his face.

“Get up. Your disciple should be waking up soon,” Yi Tianyun said coolly. “I’ll give you two choices now. First, wait for me outside. Second, wait for me here. Which do you choose?”

Staying here was undoubtedly the most convenient and safest option.

“Here, here!” Wei Feizhou didn’t even have to think about it before choosing to stay.

They had just obtained so many Treasures and even Martial Arts. How could they possibly go outside casually? With so many people watching, if any of them were overcome with greed, the two of them would be dead long before Yi Tianyun returned.

“Mm, alright. I will arrange for you to stay in a good place for cultivation. Just wait for my return,” Yi Tianyun nodded, feeling this was the correct choice.

Soon, He Rongkun woke up, his face full of excitement and agitation. “Yi…”

“Address him as Young Master!” Wei Feizhou scolded. “From now on, we must call him Young Master. We will be working for him…”

Wei Feizhou then explained the gist of the situation. He Rongkun nodded eagerly. Since his master was willing to follow Yi Tianyun, he certainly was too.

“That’s about it. It’s time for me to leave. You two can stay here and cultivate.” With a wave of his hand, Yi Tianyun made them vanish from the spot, teleported to some unknown location.

The Divine Envoys from the other factions exchanged glances, not knowing what to say.

Half a day had passed, and no one had managed to arrive within that time. This meant their trip had truly been for nothing. Who would have thought the Zuoqiu Divine Kingdom would know about the Celestial Plum Divine Clan and be able to search for information so quickly.

People were still fighting intensely at the top, but it had nothing to do with him. He stood up to leave, tossing a sentence behind him, “After the competition ends, you will be automatically teleported out.”

They froze for a moment. They had thought they could stay here forever. It seemed they had been too naive.

After Yi Tianyun went out, he was the center of attention. Everyone stared at him, especially the experts from the major factions. They glared intently, trying to discern something from him.

Yi Tianyun couldn’t be bothered with their gazes and walked straight out. Killing intent and greed flashed in the eyes of many. As he walked away, they quickly fell in behind him, exchanging glances to signal that they were ready.

Yi Tianyun paid no mind to their expressions and just kept walking until he had finally left the Ascension Divine Altar, preparing to fly toward the Celestial Plum Mountain Range. He had the information he needed; there was no reason to stay any longer.

Just as he stepped out of the Ascension Divine Altar, people immediately surrounded him, blocking his path. It wasn’t just a few people, either. They were surrounded layer by layer. Aside from the ground beneath him, every direction, including the sky, was blocked.

Yi Tianyun smiled faintly. ‘I knew this would happen. Are they here to deliver experience and Madness Value?’
