My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 151: Felicya Jealous? 2
Warm, soft, and with a very pleasant scent.
Felicya loved it so much when she was in Julian’s arms. She always felt so comfortable that she could fall into a deep sleep at any time, and she also always made sure to breathe in regularly yet rather long, just to let that pleasant scent reach her nose.
Even without having to do anything, simply being there was enough to make her body feel so calm.
In her mind, full of fog, she could not clearly remember who she was, why she was here, and why she felt so comfortable with Julian.
But, if there was one thing certain, Felicya liked Julian more than anything.
Her feelings were always empty; she hardly felt even a bit of emotion. Only a little emotion remained in her, so she hardly showed anything except a listless, flat expression.
In that life full of emptiness, Felicya could feel how her heart always beat eagerly, how her body responded happily to Julian’s touch, and how her meager emotions always felt so lively when she was carried by Julian.
Even simple things like hearing Julian’s breathing or feeling the small movements of his body as he walked could make Felicya feel comfortable.
It was a puzzle, about why Felicya felt that way, and why she liked Julian so much and felt so comfortable with him.
But, sometimes an answer and the truth often felt painful. Felicya did not want to think about it, which was also why she only wanted to stay like this forever, rather than try to uncover the truth behind the fog in her mind.
And today, Felicya once again felt a strange sensation in her body. A feeling that was hard to understand, something that felt negative and that she should not allow.
’Why?’
Why did she feel like this when she saw Julian carrying something other than her?
Felicya could feel the urge to declare that it was her place, but she knew that was not the right thing to do.
She did not even know why such a thought could arise.
Wasn’t Julian free to do whatever he wanted?
However, every time her eyes returned to the little fox in Julian’s arms, that strange feeling became even harder to ignore.
That negative emotion was so strong that Felicya could not close her eyes to sleep. So, she only tried to look ordinary, staring at the ground.
But...
"What?"
Felicya could not hold back that feeling, so without realizing it she lifted her head and looked up at Julian, who had been staring at her for some time.
In a normal case, Felicya should have been fine with that gaze, right?
But... ’What exactly am I doing?’
Felicya felt so uncomfortable that her lips puckered slightly, so tiny and hard to notice.
She wanted to lower her head again, but for some reason, her gaze remained on Julian.
Then, her gaze fell on the fox, which had been moved onto Julian’s shoulder, the one Felicya had never occupied.
"...."
Once again, a strange emotion arose in her body.
Was it relief?
Why was that?
It could not be that she really felt angry because Julian was carrying someone other than her, right?
’...That is not true.’
Yes, it was not true. But, Felicya could never deny the feeling of relief that wrapped her body when she saw Julian extend his hands to carry her.
Felicya somehow felt she had the right to be angry, to refuse that hold. But, the intoxicating sensation that came from that hold was not something she could refuse.
She looked at Julian’s two outstretched hands for a moment.
A small doubt appeared in her mind, but it did not even last long.
So, she spread both arms, letting Julian lift her and carry her again.
Instantly, every negative emotion Felicya felt vanished just like that, replaced with a comfortable, warm, and very pleasant feeling.
As if something that had been bothering her all this time had finally disappeared.
Drowsiness followed quickly, unlike before, when Felicya had felt disturbed.
As she laid her baby cheek on Julian’s empty shoulder, watching a little how the fox’s nine tails swayed on Julian’s other shoulder felt hypnotic for a moment.
Then, Felicya’s eyes closed.
She felt the touch of Julian’s hand gently rubbing her back.
That felt even better.
Whatever had happened earlier, everything could be forgiven.

"..."
Julian only did what he could. Because soothing a girl was difficult, Julian had struggled with what to say, and he had only intended to carry Felicya first.
But somehow, the girl seemed to melt at once and fell asleep in his arms.
Even before Julian could think of anything to say, Felicya had already leaned her head comfortably.
’Isn’t she a bit too easy?’
Julian shook his head. He should be grateful that Felicya was not the type to get jealous and act unreasonable.
Right, this was good news to know. Julian did not want to know what would happen if Felicya got jealous and could not be calmed.
That would surely be an annoying problem.
"U-um..."
Julian turned to the other side, finding Monk, who had been watching everything in silence. After grumbling and panicking here and there, it seemed the rabbit girl had accepted her fate and behaved more calmly.
Monk looked hesitant to speak. Her two rabbit ears twitched slightly, while her gaze occasionally glanced at Julian before looking away again.
"L-Lord Human... C-could I follow you?"
Oh right, Julian needed to discuss and think about this too. Earlier, he had only brought Monk along, while the rabbit girl apparently needed to verify many things.
Considering that they were not close, only companions from a calamity that had come suddenly.
’Eh, but if I think about it again, it was Felicya who pulled her along.’
But, if Monk were left there alone, something might happen to her if she met that creature with the strong aura.
Even though the memory of that day felt distant, Julian could still clearly remember the risk that creature could bring.
So, while looking at Monk, Julian was unsure for a moment what he should do. However, after thinking and falling silent for a few moments, Julian nodded.
"As long as you do not cause trouble or do something you should not do."
Monk straightened slightly upon hearing that answer.
It was not that Julian did not feel pity; the rabbit girl, after all, had a sad situation of her own. But that would not be a reason for Julian to immediately say "Alright! I will protect you, take you home, and save your world!" Instead, Julian was more worried about how far Monk might go for her own sake.
Betrayal, hidden motives, and other similar things had now become something Julian could not take lightly.
He could be a bit relaxed before because he was in the Safe Zone, but here, in the wild, danger could come at any time, from anywhere, and from Allies as well.
Even Felicya herself or the fox could become a reason for Julian to endanger himself.
That was why, before that happened, Julian had to be firm.
"Do not rebel. If you show it even once, I will not hesitate."
Julian kept his calm expression as he said that.
He did not intend to threaten Monk for no reason, but he also did not want the rabbit girl to misunderstand his attitude as something that could be exploited.
Being firm, making the rabbit girl submit, and as a result, Julian could get extra help and a companion to survive in this other world.
"Y-y-y-yes, Boss! Monk will never betray you for as long as Monk lives!"
That answer came so quickly, as if Monk did not need to consider it at all.
"...For as long as you live?"
"Yes! Did I say the wrong thing?"
"You, you must... Ah, no, forget it."
Julian sighed slightly. Perhaps he had been thinking too much about hidden motives or betrayal.
Didn’t this rabbit girl look a bit too innocent and dim?
Of course that was only a passing thought; it was not good to judge someone before reading more of their pages.
With that, Julian found time to rest, slowly taming the fox, and gathering more information about the Dragon world from Monk and from Felicya herself.
Time passed quite quietly.
Julian used the chance to recover his condition, while the little fox’s presence was still something he needed to keep an eye on from time to time.
Monk also began to look more accustomed to being around Julian, although her nervous manner had not completely disappeared.
And, it turned out Monk was very useful.
After two days passed, the rabbit girl returned after finding that she had seen a civilization not far from where they were.
It was the civilization of those Dragons themselves.
It seemed to be a different kind from what Julian had met before.
