My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 152: Oracle’s Revelation
Monk was at Rank-C. True to her race, she was truly very agile, with speed that was rather absurd for her level.
That speed itself was truly unbelievable, when Julian watched Monk, who intended to look over the surrounding area, and showed her speed directly.
In an instant, the rabbit girl had leapt quite far from where she had been standing. Her movements were so light, as if her body hardly had any weight.
Julian even blinked as he watched how easily Monk moved from one place to another.
Her body was also very flexible, her jumps so high, and through the way Monk explained the things she had found about this world, it also showed that the rabbit girl, it turned out, had fairly wide knowledge.
At least, Julian began to understand that Monk was not just a rabbit girl who panicked easily.
"Really... There is a Dragon civilization not far from here?"
Then, the most important information lay in this: when Monk tried exploring farther, she found the dwellings of the Dragons.
"Yes, Boss! Actually, saying it’s close is a bit problematic. Because the island itself is different, so we would also still have to climb tall mountains."
"Mountains?"
Monk nodded, "Yes! The Dragons live in the mountains."
Julian fell silent for a moment, trying to imagine the place Monk meant.
Oh, right... How could Julian have forgotten that?
Had he just been about to imagine the Dragons living in a housing district with unique and magnificent infrastructure?
That was a mistake.
Julian coughed slightly, feeling awkward about what he had thought earlier, then looked at Monk again.
"What Dragons are there? You said they were different from the ones living in that very hot region."
"Eh..." Monk looked confused for a moment, then forced an odd smile onto her face. "Actually, I do not know. But, since their home is in misty mountains that look rather damp, maybe it has something to do with that?"
Monk’s rabbit ears twitched slightly, as if she were trying to recall what she had seen.
Were they some kind of Water or Wind Dragons?
’Hmm... I do not know if it is right to think of it by element classification like that.’
Julian let out a small sigh, then felt Felicya’s small movements and steady breathing against his neck.
Meanwhile, on his other shoulder, the fox was still there, sitting comfortably with its nine soft tails swaying.
Occasionally, the tails moved a little faster when Julian shifted his body. However, the little fox stayed where it was.
Julian still called it the Little Fox; after all, he had no time to give it a name. He also could not just casually give it a name or anything like that before the fox was completely tamed.
So, he simply left the fox alone for now. Only giving it Mana to consume, while Julian himself was still busy learning about this world.
As for himself, Julian had understood enough. The result, as expected, was truly surprising, enough to make Julian wonder what had happened to his disciples during that time.
’If what Felicya said is true, then three years have passed since I got lost in the void and arrived in the Dragon world.’
Three years.
Julian still felt strange every time he thought about that amount of time.
For him, everything that happened during the journey through the void felt very different. Yet, the world he had left had, it turned out, gone on for that long without his presence.
’...I wonder how they are doing now.’
Then, during these two days, Julian had only spent his time learning all of that.
Now, after all that, Julian finally needed to move on to the next step. What should he do to leave this world, and how?
The only answer Julian had was the Breach.
’...However, it is unclear where the Breach would take us. On the contrary, there is a possibility that we would be dragged to another, more dangerous world.’
Julian’s knowledge was limited.
He also knew that spending too long in this world was clearly not good. Moreover, remembering that there were Dragons living near here made the situation even worse.
So, what should be done?
"...Felicya."
Julian’s gaze shifted slightly to Felicya. If there was one person who might have broad knowledge here, it was Felicya.
Only afterward could he try asking Monk.
"....?"
Felicya opened one eye, looking at Julian with an intense, unblinking gaze.
"Is there a way to go back?"
That question left Felicya silent for several seconds, then her face became listless as she closed her eyes.
"Don’t know."
"..."
Julian’s face hardened slightly, while in his mind, an awkward smile appeared as he watched how Felicya responded.
’What was with that long pause?’
He had even hoped that Felicya was thinking of something useful.
It was obvious there was something else Felicya could have said but chose not to.
Was it because she was simply too lazy?
Truly, Julian was glad to see Felicya acting calm and not troublesome, but even so, that did not make everything easier.
Just look at the current situation.
They were in the Dragon world, could be killed at any time, yet Felicya refused to speak.
Julian calmed himself, ’Let’s think positively. Perhaps, what she does not want to say is not something I can do right now. So, considering our situation, perhaps it is not that there is no solution, but that we are currently unable to carry out the solution that exists.’
That way, there effectively was no solution.
Was that so?
Julian still felt disappointed. He turned his gaze and looked at Monk. The rabbit girl already seemed to understand even before Julian asked anything.
She seemed to have prepared her answer all along.
"There is one way, Boss!" She smiled broadly, then spoke in a rather loud tone. "I once heard that the Invaders have a device that lets them create a Breach connected to a world, as long as they know its coordinates. If we can find it, we can go back."
Julian straightened up slightly.
A device that could create a Breach?
And not only that, the device could even decide which world to go to as long as the coordinates were known.
Hearing that, Julian stared at Monk without blinking. He was not sure whether Monk was telling the truth or not, but for certain Monk had no reason to lie right now.
Then, if what Monk said was true, it explained some things about what had once happened to the human world.
’...Does that mean the coordinates of the human world leaked from the very beginning?’
At the very least, that possibility was something he needed to consider.
If that were the case, then why had no strong creature come to invade humanity yet?
Julian thought about that for a moment, sensing the danger that might befall the human world, which could harm his disciples and the people around him.
That was enough to give Julian even more reason to return soon.
But there was one problem.
’I do not know the coordinates of the world I was in before.’
So, even if Julian found the device, he still would not be able to return before finding the coordinates.
In this case, wasn’t the situation turning into a dead end with no solution?
Julian frowned, but afterward he looked at Monk.
"Do you know the coordinates of your place of origin?"
"Yes!" Monk nodded cheerfully and smiled broadly.
Seeing that, Julian blinked and smiled slightly.
’It seems it is not without a solution after all.’
At the very least, if Monk knew the coordinates of her home world, they might be able to leave the Dragon world first.
Of course, that did not mean Julian could return to the human world right away.
However, compared to staying trapped here without knowing the way out, that possibility was clearly far better.
A Breach connecting Monk’s place of origin and Julian’s place of origin. That way, Julian should be able to return.
Although there were still some things he needed to make sure of before he could actually do it.
That meant finding the device was now the single biggest obstacle Julian had, especially when he thought that it might be something the Dragons possessed.
Something that could create Breaches, how valuable was that?
If the Invaders truly had something like that, would they let it be taken so easily?
Julian did not know.
However, just thinking about how important that device was, he could already imagine that obtaining it might not be as easy as he hoped.
