My Farm System: Reaching The Top In The Parallel Earth!

Chapter 417 - 417: Betray Again (2)

It was said that doing something for the first time was hard, but doing it for the second time was easier.

Rezen glanced at Treen, who had an ashen and terrified expression on his face.

Back in the Earth Realm, Claude Preston was the person whom Rezen genuinely admired the most.

In the Savage Beast Realm, Treen was his best friend, the person closest to him.

He had already betrayed Claude, and now, he had to betray Treen. He hesitated for some time, but he soon threw away his hesitation.

He was already a bad person. He had already sunk into the abyss. What would sinking even deeper do to him?

"Do it. If Elder Priss will not use the artifact to save me, then I will ensure that the artifact can only be used on me" Rezen agreed with Ivy's suggestion, and the latter was pleased.

"The only problem now is that the woman is bound, and we have to wait. Regardless of the consequences, she would definitely erupt with enough power to break free and use the artifact. We have to wait for that to happen, and I will help you replace Treen."

Replace Treen… Rezen's heart throbbed, but he hardened himself immediately. The betrayal was already decided. Letting pain cloud his judgment wouldn't do him any good. It was already too late for that.

"Not speaking? Doesn't matter. A simple soul search will spill all of your secrets."

Seeing Elder Priss not speaking, the fat captain sneered, and he flew directly in front of her.

Being this close to her, the fat captain could sense the sexy and alluring aura that Elder Priss was naturally exuding.

He was tempted to take her right then and there, but although he was lustful, he knew that his lascivious actions were only made possible thanks to his strength.

Without enough strength, he definitely couldn't act the same way as he usually did.

If this low-cycle Great Mage could freeze the movement of thousands of Great Mages, what more if the person using such power was only one step away from becoming a Noble Mage?

With eyes filled with greed, the fat captain reached out with his hand, intending to use a soul-searching spell on Elder Priss.

As for Elder Priss, she just let it happen. Searching her soul? Let's see if this fat man could survive doing that.

"Brace yourself. Once that fat man uses a soul-searching spell, he definitely will not survive. His death would cause panic, and that is the best chance that woman will have to use the artifact."

"I will use the farm's power to help you become the artifact's target. However, this will once again use the farm's foundation. The farm's rank will decrease, as well as its size."

Just like back in the Earth Realm, a similar thing would happen. Rezen would have to sacrifice his farm, barely keeping it intact, to save himself and enter a different realm.

However, the farm being damaged was better compared to Rezen being killed or turned into a slave.

Once he was dead, the farm would be useless to him. And if he became a slave, how could he continue his path?

Just as all three sides (the captain, Elder Priss, and Rezen) were waiting for what would happen once the soul search was used, an unexpected situation occurred.

As soon as the fat Captain mobilized his mana, his skin suddenly turned purple. His veins popped, and he roared in pain and anger.

"WHO!!!!!"

His thunderous voice shook the realm. The weaker beings directly fell to their knees.

With Rezen being a weak Senior Mage, he, too, was thrown to the ground.

"WHO THE HELL POISONED ME!!" the fat captain continued to roar, his aura shaking the space, but the more seconds that passed, the weaker his aura became.

The purple color of his skin deepened. His eyes, mouth, ears, and nose started to bleed purple blood.

Sizzz!!!

The purple droplets of blood that fell on the ground melted the earth instantly. Just from that alone, one could guess how terrifying the poison inflicted on his body was.

"I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!" The fat captain, sensing death, decided to bring as many people to death with him.

During his voyage in the void, the only people who could scheme against and poison him were his fellow slave traders.

He didn't know who exactly had poisoned him, but it didn't matter. He would kill them all to accompany him in hell.

As for the Noble Mage? To hell with him!

Once he was dead, even a Noble Mage could not do anything to him. Why should he care about the consequences of annihilating a whole fleet of slave traders owned by a Noble Mage?

The captain proved why he was the Captain and why he was someone who was only one step away from becoming a Noble Mage.

Despite his poisoned state, he still tore through one mage after another with his bare hands, killing them effortlessly.

It did not matter if they were Senior Mages, early-cycle Great Mages, or even mid-cycle and high-cycle Great Mages. All of them had no choice but to die.

The only ones who could threaten him a bit were those peak Great Mages, but even those people were afraid and ran away. They might be able to last a few rounds against their captain, but an outcome of death was still feasible. They were unwilling to get entangled with him.

As such, with no peak Great Mages to fight, the slave traders were no different from lambs in front of a terrifying wolf.

"Ahh!! Captain, it was not me! I did not betray you!"

"It wasn't me! It wasn't me!"

"Spare me! Aahhh!!!"

One cry of misery after another rang out as flesh and blood fell down like rain. More and more slave traders tried to flee, but more and more of them were also dying at their own captain's hands.

Coincidentally, the mage who prevented Elder Priss from moving was also one of the first ones to die.

As a result, Elder Priss was freed from her shackles, and she immediately appeared next to Treen and Headmaster Triss.

"Disconnect," she uttered a single word, and the vacant look in the Headmaster's eyes instantly vanished. Her eyelids drooped down, and she fell unconscious.

If not for the life signs her body still had, everyone would think that she had died earlier.

"What did you do?!" Treen questioned in panic while he caught the Headmaster in his arms.

"Listen to me. I will send you away from here. When Triss awakens, she won't be like her usual self. However, don't give up on her!"

"Love her, hold her. Make her awaken her emotions once again, and she will return to normal."

Elder Priss hurriedly said, and Treen could not understand what she meant at all. Unfortunately, there was no time to properly explain things.

The fat captain's rampage would not last long. The poison used on him was potent, and it wouldn't take that long before he succumbed to it and died.

Not to mention, he had also lost his mind and launched a killing spree that further accelerated the poison's eruption.

In Elder Priss's hand, the broken mirror artifact reappeared. This was the same mirror that the Sage of the magic beasts used to create the crimson portals.

In truth, it was a broken Nobless Artifact. A battle in the void might have happened in the past, and this artifact had fallen into the Savage Beast Realm.

Fortunately, the artifact was already broken beyond saving. If it had been at its peak, the magic beasts would have defeated the humans long ago with ease.

After all, a single Nobless Artifact could subdue the entire Savage Beast Realm, which did not have a power capable of contending against those at the fourth rank.

However, no matter how broken it was, it was still a Nobless Artifact. While normal people could not use it to transfer someone to a different realm, Elder Priss was different.

Her current body was only at the Great Mage Rank, but her real background was far more terrifying than that.

While staring at the damaged artifact, countless chains appeared in Elder Priss's eyes. Her mana was injected into the artifact, and it started to slowly change.

From its original appearance as a broken mirror, it was being repaired at a speed visible to the naked eye.

However, the more it was repaired, the more transparent Elder Priss's body became.

"E-Elder, what are you doing?" Treen asked. His head was filled with countless questions. He had no idea what exactly was happening. Everything was too fast, and his mind could not keep up.

Unfortunately, Elder Priss did not answer his question. Instead, it was Rezen who answered it for her.

"She is planning to use that artifact to keep you safe and send you and the Headmaster to a different realm. Isn't that right, Elder Priss?"
