Chapter 127: Chapter 109: Meeting Zhu Yan Again, Lihexie Bang, Fusion-Type Cultivation Technique Mixed Element Skill

"Who are you?" Yu Xian stared at Su Chen as he walked out, taking a half-step back and asking in a deep voice.

Su Chen didn’t speak. Instead, he took the initiative to attack. Moving at extreme speed, he crossed the distance of several dozen meters in the blink of an eye, taking less than three breaths.

"You have a death wish!" Seeing this, Yu Xian coldly snorted. Stomping fiercely, his body shot out like a cannonball, meeting Su Chen in less than a moment.

BANG! THUD THUD THUD!

With just a single clash, Yu Xian stumbled back several steps. His arms trembled slightly as he frowned and stared at Su Chen, his eyes filled with shock. In that brief exchange, he was actually no match for his opponent. When had he provoked such a formidable figure?

"Refining Internal Realm!" Su Chen also frowned, staring back at Yu Xian. However, unlike Yu Xian’s apprehension, his eyes carried a hint of excitement. From their initial clash, he judged that Yu Xian’s strength was even greater than Tao Dingfang’s!

"Again!" Su Chen’s eyes flickered, bursting with surging fighting spirit. After so much time had passed, his Iron Cloth Shirt had advanced to the third layer, yet he hadn’t encountered a decently powerful opponent. Running into Yu Xian this time, he couldn’t help but feel a rising desire for battle.

"I’ll test my strength first. Once I’ve tested enough, then I’ll kill him!" He quickly formulated a plan and struck again, but to his utter astonishment, the moment he made his move, Yu Xian turned and ran.

This decisive and straightforward flight left Su Chen stunned in place for half a second, but fortunately, he quickly reacted.

"Trying to run? No way!" Su Chen dashed swiftly. His speed was thirty percent faster than Yu Xian, who was running for his life, and he was closing in at a visible rate.

Yu Xian gritted his teeth and glanced back, a look of madness in his eyes. With a flick of his sleeve, several silver needles suddenly shot out from his cuff. Emitting cold gleams, they whistled through the air toward Su Chen.

PING PING PING!

With quick eyes and swift hands, Su Chen snatched half of them out of the air and dodged most of the rest with a sideways tilt. Only two or three needles struck his body, but unfortunately for Yu Xian, they failed to cause any injury.

Hearing the commotion behind him, Yu Xian looked back. His pupils instantly contracted. He hadn’t expected that instead of widening the gap, the distance between them was shrinking even more.

"Damn it, who exactly is this guy? Why is he so relentlessly aggressive?" Yu Xian’s expression grew frantic. He could see the killing intent in Su Chen’s pursuit and didn’t dare to slack off for even a moment. However, at this rate, it wouldn’t be long before he was caught.

"Oh no!" Suddenly, Yu Xian cried out in alarm. Catching a glimpse from the corner of his eye, he saw a ghost-like shadow rapidly approaching on the ground, followed by a terrifying scene.

The instant he saw that shadow, he reacted almost instinctively, trying to distance himself from Su Chen. But right at that moment, an extra arm seemed to grow out of the shadow’s raised arm.

No, that wasn’t an arm. That was... the shadow of a blade!

SLICE.

A tearing sound reached his ears. He hadn’t understood why such a sound would occur out of nowhere until the appearance of the blade made everything suddenly clear. And with that sudden realization, he completely lost all signs of life.

With a single slash, his head flew into the air, splattering blood in all directions. The headless body staggered wildly out of control before suddenly collapsing.

THUD. The severed head also hit the ground, facing the corpse from a distance.

"If you hadn’t run, you could’ve lived a little longer. Since you ran, I had no choice but to send you on your way!" Putting away his short sword and looking down at Yu Xian’s corpse, Su Chen muttered inwardly. There was not a single ripple of emotion in his eyes.

"Fifteen Qi Blood Pills, three Profound Essence Pills, and 500 taels of silver. He really was rich!" Su Chen looted these items from Yu Xian’s body. After a careful mental calculation, their total value was actually higher than his entire net worth!

Tucking the items away safely, Su Chen kicked Yu Xian’s corpse into the tall grass and turned to leave. "It’s too late to go back and change clothes now. I’ll just deal with it quickly."

While hurrying toward the Black Market, Su Chen rolled and tied up his sleeves, hiding the short sword directly against his other arm.

Half an hour later, Su Chen arrived at the Black Market. He headed straight for the unbranded shop, met with the clerk, and presented his token.

"Wait a moment!" After verifying the token, the clerk spoke to Su Chen and went inside.

After the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the clerk walked back out holding an envelope. "Here is what you requested."

Su Chen paid the money, and the clerk readily handed over the envelope. Opening it and giving it a brief scan, Su Chen felt reassured. He then tucked it inside his shirt and turned to leave.

He headed to the stall where he usually bought Qi Blood Pills. Just as he arrived, he saw the vendor packing up his things and was slightly taken aback.

"Sorry, there are no Qi Blood Pills for sale tonight," the man said, recognizing Su Chen.

Su Chen paused for a moment before nodding and walking away. A strange look crossed his face. "Could it be that Yu Xian was the supplier of the Qi Blood Pills? Because I killed him, this vendor has none to sell?"

He became increasingly certain of this thought but quickly let it go. Regardless of whether Yu Xian was the secret supplier behind the Qi Blood Pills, daring to strike against him meant naturally having to bear his wrath.

After wandering around the Black Market for a bit, Su Chen decided to leave. He hadn’t brought any Blood Boiling Powder tonight, so he couldn’t sell anything. He figured it was better to head back early, especially since his harvest tonight had been quite good anyway.

Just as Su Chen was leaving, at the stall where he usually set up to sell, a man who had been waiting for a long time without seeing any sign of Su Chen finally showed a look of impatience. With a muffled snort, he flicked his sleeve and walked away.

"My luck is truly one of a kind," Su Chen sighed inwardly as he walked home. "How do I run into robbers every single time!"
