My Mosquito Clones Are on a Killing Spree
Chapter 123 - 84: The Visit
Chapter 123: Chapter 84: The Visit
Outside South City.
The scene before him was still horrifying.
As far as the eye could see, there were endless, overlapping piles of Pigman corpses.
Like harvested wheat, they lay strewn across the ground, their numbers far exceeding one hundred thousand!
Enormous rocket craters, like ugly scars, pockmarked the battlefield.
The scorched earth, mixed with congealed, dark-purple blood, emitted a pungent stench of gore and gunpowder.
It was a silent testament to the ferocity and cruelty of last night’s defensive battle.
The battlefield had now entered the cleanup phase.
Numerous officials from the Public Security Bureau, wearing uniforms and gloves, were carefully collecting the Pigman weapons scattered on the ground.
Most of these weapons were crudely shaped and menacing, and their forging techniques appeared primitive and clumsy.
But Lin Yi could tell with a single glance that their materials were special. They contained faint energy fluctuations—many of them were Tier One Spiritual Weapons!
Many of the materials were extremely rare on Blue Star, some never having been discovered before.
’Looks like I need to get rid of the Spiritual Weapons I got from Yan Hao as soon as possible,’ Lin Yi thought to himself.
’Once this batch of captured Spiritual Weapons floods the market, the price of ordinary Tier One Spiritual Weapons will probably plummet.’
Shifting his gaze, he saw another bustling scene.
Many ordinary citizens of Yang City, motivated by official bounties, had spontaneously formed corpse-transport teams.
Some drove rented heavy construction vehicles, while others formed groups, shouting in rhythm as they strained to drag the bodies.
These Pigmen were generally three meters tall, with knotted muscles and astonishing weight. An ordinary truck simply couldn’t hold them.
Almost every large transport company in Yang City was involved, with heavy-duty trucks and trailers forming long lines.
Under the efficient coordination of the Yang City Health Department, the massive and bloody post-war cleanup was proceeding in a tense but orderly fashion.
Lin Yi looked away and didn’t linger.
He quickened his pace.
Soon, he was back at the tenement-style apartment complex.
He closed the door to his apartment.
It shut out the clamor and the stench of blood from the outside world.
Only then did his taut nerves relax just a little.
The special Martial Arts Uniform he wore had a self-cleaning function. Despite the successive bloody battles, it was still as clean as new, not a speck of dust on it.
However, his face, hair, neck, arms, and other exposed skin were caked with a thick layer of dark-red blood scabs and grime, mixed with the unique soil and grass fragments of the Star Realm, feeling sticky and smelling pungent.
They were the marks left from last night’s bloody battle in Yang City and the counter-attack into the Star Realm.
Lin Yi quickly took off his Martial Arts Uniform.
He stepped into the small bathroom.
And turned on the shower.
Warm water streamed down,
washing away his exhaustion and filth.
He scrubbed vigorously, watching the water at his feet turn from murky to clear, as if it were also washing away the heavy killing intent that had built up in his heart.
"Haaaah..."
After he had thoroughly washed himself, changed into soft underwear, and put the crisp, black Martial Arts Uniform back on,
a long-lost feeling of freshness spread over him.
Lin Yi couldn’t help but let out a long sigh of relief.
He felt completely revived.
Just then—
"DING DONG! DING DONG DING DONG!"
The doorbell rang urgently.
"Lin! Lin! It’s me! Open up!!"
Luo Qian’s signature loud voice came clearly through the door, filled with unconcealable urgency and excitement.
The corner of Lin Yi’s mouth twitched upward as he strode over and opened the door.
The moment the door was cracked open,
Luo Qian impatiently squeezed inside, his face full of curiosity and excitement. He grabbed Lin Yi’s arm as soon as he was through the door.
"Quick, quick! Lin, what the hell is going on? Don’t keep me in suspense! A world-in-between? A spatial rift? Another world? Spill it! The curiosity has been killing me this whole way over!"
Shaken by his friend, Lin Yi found it a little funny. He poured a glass of water and handed it to him.
"What’s the rush? Sit down and we’ll talk."
Luo Qian took the glass and chugged a large gulp, but his eyes remained glued to Lin Yi as he urged,
"Spit it out! Spit it out!"
Lin Yi sat down across from him.
He recounted everything, starting from how the Pigman army of over one hundred thousand had suddenly appeared at the city walls and frantically attacked, to the appearance of the spatial rift and the Star Gate, then to how he had followed the stronger experts into the Star Realm, how the Spiritual Qi in that world was as thick as fog, and how they had counter-attacked and crushed the Pigman reinforcements...
He told the entire story from beginning to end.
With every part of the story Lin Yi told, Luo Qian couldn’t help but cry out in amazement:
"An army of over a hundred thousand monsters attacking the city?! Holy shit!"
"A spatial rift?! A gate made of blue light that connects to an Otherworld?!"
"The Spiritual Qi is ten times thicker?! My god, wouldn’t your Cultivation speed skyrocket?!"
"Interdimensional warfare?! Counter-attacking the Otherworld?!"
When he heard about the counter-attack into the Star Realm,
Luo Qian got so excited he slapped his thigh and shot to his feet. His face was filled with yearning, which then melted into deep disappointment.
"That’s so fucking epic! That’s the kind of life a Martial Artist should lead! A pity... a damn pity I’m not a Martial Artist, so I can only watch from the sidelines! We occupied a world-in-between? Why not just charge in and flatten that Pigman world?"
Seeing the undisguised envy and desire on his friend’s face,
Lin Yi smiled and patted his shoulder meaningfully.
"Don’t be impatient. You’ll have plenty of chances to fight in the future."
He knew in his heart.
This Star Gate was currently at its lowest Level, only capable of letting weak Pigmen pass through.
As time went on, the Star Gate’s Level would inevitably rise.
The powerful members of the Alien Races who could pass through it would also become increasingly terrifying.
’It’s coming soon!’
’That cruel era of the Ten Thousand Races vying for supremacy across the sea of stars will eventually arrive.’
"By the way,"
Lin Yi collected his thoughts and got to the point.
"The reason I asked you here is that I want to use your family’s channels to help me sell something."
